God's Spiritual Household

(Photograph from Wikimedia Commons)

I came across this prayer several months ago and soon forgot about it.  The Angels brought it to my attention this morning. I wanted to share it with you.

God’s Spiritual Household
Beloved Father-Mother God, give us wisdom to meet problems that come up to be met today. Give me understanding to deny error. Give me grace to remain silent when it is not necessary to speak. Oh Love, take me in. Give me one mind, one consciousness and enable me to love my neighbor as myself. When I cease to judge, criticize or condemn, I begin to progress.

It is comforting to know that we live and move and breathe in the Presence of God, but this wonderful gift is null and void unless we pause in gratitude throughout the day and still our minds to become aware of this tangible blessing.  Rejoice that God is only Love.

Enjoy your day with the Angels,

Love and blessings,

Circle of Life - An Angel Message from a Spider

(June 23, 2013 early A.M. Spider Web.)

I hurried to the window early this morning, hoping to see the Super Moon.  Although it was not visible, another perfect circle stood out in the sunlight, a spider's web, in our neighbor's backyard. Several weeks ago, I was saddened when he cut down many trees, and left them in a heap.

Since then, I've been so thankful that the towering, older hardwood trees are still standing.  I find myself silently thanking them, appreciating their presence and not taking them for granted.  So,  in the midst of such disarray, the perfect circular web seemed like an angel message.

I wasn't sure what it meant at first.

Then an idea came to me.

The Circle of Life.

And, how we are all joined together by one single thread, woven in a finite form representing infinity. With its shimmering in the morning light, I could see more clearly:  All life is related and each part should be accepted equally.

In Animal-Speak, author Ted Andews describes the spider as the guardian of the ancient languages and alphabets.  "Spider reminds us that the world is woven around us.  We are the keepers and the writers of our own destiny, weaving it like a web by our thoughts, feelings, and actions."

This circular web reminded me of a Hebrew letter shaped like a circle, Samech.   The symbolism is a circle, a wedding ring, or a prop.  The keynote, protection.

A circle is infinity in a finite form, and all the points are equidistant from the center.  This symbolizes equilibrium in motion, a balance in this world while connected with the Divine.  Samech indicates a  need to open up more fully to the celestial realm and trust its protection.

In yesterday's blog, I wrote about how summer marks the best season to connect with Nature and the angels.  I've been calling on Archangel Uriel for assistance.  How wonderful to see that portal opening up today in unexpected and creative ways.

The next time I returned to the window, the sun had shifted, and the splendid web was no longer visible.  A reminder that angel messages are always there, but illumination is necessary to bring them forth.  There is a divine timing.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

The Peacock

We had a wonderful surprise on Saturday.  On a whim, we took a ride to a friend's house.  In  her neighborhood, we stumbled upon a rare sight.  A peacock from a nearby farm, beyond the woods, was on his way to get a meal.

Elliot spotted him first. And me with no camera!  We watched him drag his long plumage up the driveway of a residence.

Then he stopped by the double garage.  His back was to us.

 WHOOSH!

His wings unfurled in one magnificent motion, creating a sense of awe.

His backside was colorless and plain.  I got out of the car with my cellphone, hoping for a picture.   I waited for him to turn around. He put on quite a show.  Proudly pivoting in all his glory, he slowly made a 360 degree turn to reveal his beautiful fan of blue-green iridescence.

The many "eyes" within his feathering are symbolic of watchfulness. And we were certainly getting an eyeful of him!

An energy charged the air.  I didn't know how much so until later. I was up until 3 AM working on a creative project! And Elliot wrote 4 songs that evening.

The peacock was so deliberate. I looked up the symbolism in Animal-Speak.  The keynote is resurrection and wise vision (watchfulness)  In Egypt, it was associated with the all seeing eye of Horus.  In Christianity, it was a symbol of the death and resurrection of Jesus, immortality.

It's interesting to observe  that  what we focus on becomes part of our manifestation.  I've been writing in a peacock journal since my birthday in May.  Also,  a peacock note pack stays in the car for quick notes.

I wasn't sure about his message.  Then I remembered the peacock card holder I'd recently put in our kitchen window. It holds one of my favorite verses from  A Course in Miracles:

You have the right to all the universe;
to perfect peace, complete deliverance
from all the effects of sin, and to the
life eternal, joyous, and complete in
every way, as God appointed for His
holy Son.
                       T,500, T-538

Perhaps that peacock was demonstrating the choice we can make on how we present ourselves in the world.  The ego or the Christ consciousness.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings and love,

Cloud Angels

Photo from Wikimedia Commons

Sometimes the ominous "clouds" that block the light in our lives can become an angel in disguise helping us to grow upward in thought and action, to rise higher.   This too shall pass.  The angels were sending  that message when I found this photo on the web.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Angels Are Near

Yesterday morning while sitting in the tub I was meditating about a certain issue.  When I opened my eyes, I noticed this little angel on the soap dish.  Her pose reflected my quandary, she  seemed to be pondering a question, too.  Or tuning into mine.  I had to laugh because like most things I often look but do not see.  I never really paid any attention to her before.

She was a reminder that so often purification is necessary before we can experience a new shift in perception.  These days are filled with opportunities to cleanse our thoughts and see more clearly, to wash our cares away.

When I got out of the tub, I saw a small clipping from a magazine Elliot had cut out. "You Can Talk to Your Angels. Angels Are Near " He'd propped it up against a beautiful pink conch seashell on the bathroom shelf. Angels are around us always, but are we paying attention? I need to stay more vigilant that's for sure.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Karen

The Redeeming Angel, Metatron, and the Rainbow

(Rainbow at Washington Monument from Wikimedia Commons)

Synchronicity led me to The Zohar where I came upon an interesting passage about the rainbow in Volume 7.

"...NAMELY there are angel messengers in the world which revolve and turn into several shapes, sometimes female and sometimes male, now Judgment and now Mercy, and all that is the same matter.  In the same manner, this angel has many shapes, and all the colors, WHITE, RED, and GREEN, of the world, THE NUKVA, are in this place.  This is the mystery of:

"As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about.  This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of Hashem." (Ezekiel 1:28)

THE APPEARANCE OF THE BOW, THE NUKVA, contains the three colors.  Since the angel has three colors, he leads the world.  (The redeeming angel, METATRON, receives blessings and then bestows them upon the world.  This angel is male when procuring blessings for the world and is female when there is judgment in the world.)

I was looking for a rainbow to go with the blog, and found this one of the Washington Monument.
The capstone of this 555'  obelisk has the inscription laus deo, "Praise God."  When we put God first all things are possible.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

A Rainbow!

As when the rainbow, opposite the sun
A thousand intermingled colors throws.
With saffron wings then dewy Iris flies
Through heaven's expanse, a thousand varied dyes
Extracting from the sun, opposed in place.

    --Virgil (70-19 B.C.)

After the much needed rainfall over the past week, it was a wonderful gift to see a rainbow.

One of the most widely held traditional beliefs is that the rainbow is a bridge between heaven and earth, between the divine realm and the human world.  It is a symbol of hope, peace, and brotherhood.  Because a rainbow most often follows a thunderstorm, its unexpected colorful appearance represents a sign of peace after a conflict.  A new beginning.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

The White Ibis: Angel Message from the Birds

(Photo from Wikimedia Commons)

"In our innermost soul we are winged beings,
and we should soar and glide each day of our lives."
                                       Claire Nahmad
Angel Messages, The Oracle of the Birds

A wonderful way to experience the angelic streams of life is to listen with an open heart to the song of the birds.  To draw close to them in spirit is to become aware of the hidden beauties and mysteries that are sacred and secret within the human soul.

Monday evening while Elliot and I were out for a drive, hoping to find answers to what's next in life, I saw a flock of birds flying toward us in a V-formation.  At first, I thought they were geese, one of my favorites, but as they came closer I was surprised to see they were snowy white ibis.  I thanked them for their gift as they flew over our car.
The timing was perfect. Their upward flight had lifted my spirit above the mundane, releasing a need to be in control and to just let things unfold naturally.

In his book, Animal-Speak, Ted Andrews explains that the V-formation is very symbolic.  It reflects by shape an opening to new possibilities.  It's like a arrowhead, pointing to a new direction, and with one end open, it also reflects an openness to new ideas. The letter "V"  in Hebrew "vav" means nail.  This formation indicates we are about to affix ourselves to a new path.  It is a letter that reflects great fertility.   Vav is also a creative connecting energy between heaven and earth.

Another flock of ibis crossed my path yesterday.  This time they were grazing in the grass.  Aware of the importance of synchronicity, in Angel Messages by Claire Nahmad I learned that  the ibis represents the initial letter of the Egyptian alphabet.  It is the sigil of the origin of language and all that civilizes humankind.  The Egyptians believed the white plumage of the ibis symbolized the light of the Sun.  "If an ibis draws close to you, it is a spiritual call sounding your name.  You have been chosen to enter into a new and elevated spiritual understanding.  The cry of this 'Bird of Thoth' is a call to your heart:  "I offer enlightenment."

I was so thankful for this wonderful message that applies to each of us.  Moreover, on Wikipedia, I discovered the ibis is an author of sorts, writing upon surfaces, leaving its footprints as 3 + 1, which is the image enshrined in the Scandinavian world tree Yggdrasil and the Hebrew tree of the Sephiroth.

By surrendering and trusting, we, too,  will rise in consciousness as we go through our trials.  We will then leave golden footprints for others to follow by waking up to the divine within us.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Karen

An Angel Message: The Hawk at the Window

Angel messages often come to me from nature.  It's funny how something manages to catch our attention and we wonder how we ever noticed it in the first place.  Last Wednesday night it was almost dusk when Elliot and I returned to the parking lot after having a spaghetti dinner at Tony's New York Pizza.  As I got into the car, I saw a huge bird sitting high up on the window ledge of the top floor of an office building in town.   I thought it was a hawk. Hawks have been messengers for me in the past.  I hurried home to get my camera, with the zoom I could see for sure.  To my surprise, he waited for me.  I took several photos and although the close-ups were fuzzy, I got the picture.  It was a hawk.

It was unusual behavior for a hawk, so much so I wondered about the message.  He was on the outside looking in.  Hawks are symbolic of messengers akin to Mercury.  Was he saying become the observer?  Don't get caught up in the details of the material world.   Why wasn't he soaring high above, seeing the big picture?

The message seemed so deliberate that I looked up hawk in  the book Animal-Speak. I read that all hawks are impressive and stir the imagination.  Hawk medicine teaches you to be observant...Life is sending you signals.  The red tail hawk can spread its wings to a great width, and it can teach you to use your creative energies in the same way.  It can extend the vision of your life."

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,
