Angels Blessing Where You Live

God dwells wherever man lets Him in.
       --Martin Burber

While searching the web for angel images, I found this message in a colorful travel poster.   I love flowers, and often the angels use that wonderful medium for communication.

The artwork reminded me of how God's angels are always pouring out blessings upon the place where we live.  The gifts of love and light, and  all things beautiful are forever flowing from the angelic realm to our physicality.  I'm learning more and more that I need to open up the doors and windows of my mind, to receive their infinite bounty that is so freely available.

Curious about the poster, I discovered that The Ephrata Cloister, located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, was a religious community established in 1730 by Johann Conrad Beissel for settlers seeking spiritual goals rather than earthly rewards.

I'm so grateful for the loving presence of Angels among us.  They are truly only a thought away.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Karen

Listening for Angel Messages

(artwork from Wikimedia Commons)

May our walking on earth be gentle as
the union of the butterfly and the flower.
             --Traditional Buddhist Blessing

It rained for the second day in a row!  The birds are singing sweetly on this cloudy morning.  The church bells just chimed 8:00, and the drone of a low lying plane passing by are all signs of life, each in its own form.  I'm not sure what to blog about today, my mind is a little foggy like the weather, so I'm going to listen in to the angels for help.  I know ideas will come because only my own thoughts can block my reception to their inspiring transmissions radiating 24/7.

Yesterday in meditation the words, "To thine own self be true," came to mind.  Words of truth from Shakespeare, and according to scripture, we each must work out our own salvation line upon line, precept upon precept.  Sometimes I try to integrate a dual thought system, spirit and ego, and the results are less than positive.  Either everything in this dream is true or none of it is.  I tend to judge what's good or bad, forgetting that when I awaken it won't matter.  Only the love that inspires each action is real. So keep on trying to follow the ideal of not seeing anyone as a body, but recognizing them as spiritual beings, made in the image and likeness of God.

When I look out upon the world using my physical sight, I see many problems in many different forms.  Friends overcoming physical challenges, storms, poverty, abuse, etc.  but underneath all the seeming chaos is a golden strand of everlasting Light, linking us all together in Oneness.  The sparks of God we are, waiting to catch fire and emblazon our memory to return our minds home to Him.

A favorite line from A Course in Miracles"The kingdom of heaven is now.  There is no other time. There is no other place.

May I feel His peace knowing this as I walk in the world today.  Angels surround me, gently guiding my steps on upward wings.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Who is Who? An Angel Message

Last week our neighbor, Sam,  rescued a dog from the animal shelter. The first time I saw T-Bone, a black and white boxer, he was playing catch with his new owner in the backyard.  Not sure if the dog was a new family member or Sam was pet sitting, I called out.   T-Bone ran over to the fence, tail wagging, slobbering as I petted his head.  I could tell he was overjoyed.  His death sentence at the pound had turned into a new lease on life.  Sam beamed, too. "Life needs to have some fun," he told me.

I wondered how his orange tabby was adjusting. "How's Princess with the new dog?"  I asked.

"PRINCESS!?"  He laughed.   "Oh... you mean Francis!"

"No wonder he looks insulted when I call his name."  I chuckled.

My own cat paradigm collapsed as I  then began to question the gender of our two stray lovable cats, Mr. Paws and Cleo, who, many months ago had taken up residence on our patio.  Since Princess (Francis) would often visit our yard to hang out, Cleo would react jealously, chasing the orange and white cat away while Mr. Paws sat idly by observing the ruckus.  So... if Princess was not a female, then perhaps the lovely Cleo was a male, and Mr. Paws... suddenly was a Mrs.?

I looked at our two gray tabbies.  Who is who?

I'm sure the angels were amused as I learned a big lesson.  I began to understand that it's not about the form, but the content.  And the Love of God is in everything.  In the end, I guess it doesn't really matter what they are called as long as they are loved for who they are; an expression of God's love in the world.

Our indoor cat, Angel, watches from the laundry room window.  She could set me straight, if only she could talk, but I'm not sure it matters.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings,

What Are You Putting Out There? Love or Fear?

I'd never seen anyone toss a Frisbee high into the wind, watch it soar above the waves, and return to him automatically.  Amazed, I watched his maneuver repeatedly as if he were playing catch with an invisible Angel standing in the sea.  Some of his returns had pizazz, skillfully caught under the leg.   Elliot explained it was gravity and the dynamics of the wind.

I thought of something else, a universal law:  What you send out comes back to you.

I captured this feat on video, but the format wasn't compatible with Google. Although the action is missing, the message has stayed with me.

It's no secret that like attracts like.  What we send out, returns to us.

This week I've been reading in A Course in Miracles about the Holy Spirit

He has given you love's messengers to send instead of those you trained through fear.  They are eager to return to you what they hold dear as are the others.  If you send them forth, they will see only the blameless and the beautiful, the gentle and the kind.  They will be careful to let no little act of charity, no tiny expression of forgiveness, no little breath of love escape their notice.  And they will return with all the happy things they found, to share them lovingly with you.  Be not afraid of them.  They offer you salvation.  Theirs are the messages of safety for they see the world as kind.

...The Holy Spirit has given you His messengers to send to your brother and return to you with what loves sees.  They have been given to replace the hungry dogs of fear you sent instead.  And they go forth to signify the end of fear. (Text 411)

I took the message to heart and became more vigilant for the subtle ways my ego slips into judgment.  Why did they do that?  Shouldn't they have done this. Why me?  What's up with this?

Instead I began to focus on sending out love to all life everywhere I went.  I tried to remember "Love is attracted to love." If I had a less than positive thought, I'd instantly replace it with a loving one.  I kept reminding myself that God loves me and everyone.  Show me how much you love me today, I asked.

The results were amazing.  People were friendlier and more loving.  A server came over to greet us at a cafe, giving me a big hug.   But I really knew something special was up when my wild cat, Cleo, the one that adopted us, jumped into my lap for the first time.

It startled me at first.  I'd been sitting on the patio enjoying nature.  The warm breeze, the scent of flowers, appreciating the moment.  Maybe she's going to curl up in my lap, but instead she brushed her cheek hard against mine, a deliberate head rub, then gave me a wet kiss and jumped down.

Wow...

I know those messengers of love are the Angels.  It's so wonderful when we actively choose love in every situation.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Karen

Synchronicity from Beyond: An Angel Message

A new friend from South Africa shared a heartfelt story. Many years ago, when he and his wife first came to America, he'd found work at a car transport company, driving vehicles to their destination.   It was a perfect opportunity for the couple to travel and see the U.S.  Many years after he had moved on from that company, his employer had stayed in touch, traveling long distances to attend family weddings and other celebrations. They had a close bond for over twenty years.

My friend had kept the T-shirt with the company's transport logo; although he hardly ever wore it. It was nice but he just was't called to put it on.  One day he pulled it out of the drawer, and decided to wear it all day.  That evening, he heard his old boss and close friend had passed on.  Although it was sad news, he wondered about the coincidence. What had motivated him to wear that special shirt on the day he later heard about his dear friend's transition?

For him, it was comforting, as he realized that more was going on than he realized.

Something similar happened one year on my birthday.  My Bible lesson had included a passage from Psalm 90:  "...we spend our years as a tale that is told."

I wanted to read the whole Psalm and for some reason I pulled out my Grandmother's worn leather Bible. She had passed on many years ago, in her nineties.   Reading Psalm 90, I could feel her loving presence enfold me.    "...we spend our years as a tale that is told."

Later at breakfast, I was surprised to hear Elliot say, "Great day in the morning!"

Grandma would often greet the day that way!

 "Hi Grandma!"  I grinned.

It was a wonderful way to start my birthday.   It's funny because my husband wasn't aware that my Grandmother often said those words, or that I'd just been reading from her Bible which I rarely do.

All minds are joined in love.  More is going on than we realize.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings and love,

Happy Mother's Day!

Mother Mary in our little meditation garden is bathed in the glow of evening sunlight.  The stone statue is reminder of her loving presence and the only illuminated object in the garden.  Tall tree shadows are bringing down the curtain on another day.

In The Blessed Virgin Mary, Her Life and Mission by Corinne Heline we learn that the month of May is known for the Feast of the Preparation. A month primarily dedicated to Mother Mary, truly the soul of May:
"A very beautiful Ceremonial for this month is observed in the Temple of Christian Mysteries.  It has to do with mothers and children, because all souls preparing to go into human embodiment during the following year gather together to receive a blessing from the Divine Lady and her multitude of ministering Angels.  Also, about all prospective mothers are woven bright garlands of blessings by these angelic hosts.
Happy Mother's Day!
Love and joyful blessings,

Angels and Enthusiasm

(Artwork from Wikimedia Commons)

As I shared at the beginning of this year, my angel for 2013 is the Angel of Enthusiasm.  Early this morning she led me to a book on Ascended Masters Teachings, called The Bridge to Freedom Journal.  I came across an inspiring passage on the angels written in 1958, that was going to be called "The Year of the Angels."

"What TREMENDOUS JOY TO SERVE GOD, beloved ones, especially when you have the great buoyancy of the angelic host to sustain your enthusiasm in that service, when you have the angels' faith to sustain your TRUST IN GOD, when you have the healing power of the angelic host instantly available at your call..."

The Angels play a very great part in the activities of accelerating the vibratory action of  the strata of consciousness in which humanity lives.  Angels are real friends and always answer your call.  They are so easy to work with.  They are beings of transcendent, divine Love! They are extremely intelligent, but their love responds instantly to the direction of anyone who calls earnestly to them in the name and authority of their own I AM Presence.

The Angels remind us that without enthusiasm nothing can be accomplished.  So get excited about the divine plan that is unfolding and reach out to the Angelic host for protection, guidance, and love. The more often you make the calls, the more powerful you'll feel their loving radiation.

Enjoy your day with the Angels!

Love and blessings,

Archangel Michael and Hildegard von Bingen

(Statue of Archangel Michael from Wikimedia Commons)

The Vision, an inspiring movie, about the life of Hildegard von Bingen (1098-1179) is available for free viewing on Hulu. http://www.hulu.com/#!watch/408952

A German writer, composer, philosopher, visionary, seer, and Christian mystic, Hildegard was consulted and advised bishops. popes, and kings.  She was born the 10th child to a noble family and was dedicated at birth to the church.  At age three, she started to have visions of luminary objects, but soon realized she was unique in her ability and hid her gift for many years.

Archangel Michael appeared to her on her deathbed, advising her to get up and eat, her work was not finished.

Her life story is a testimony to the strength and power given to one who is obedient to the inner voice of God.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

The Winged Solar Disk of Ancient Egypt

The Dinosaur Store, Cocoa Beach, FL
http://www.dinosaurstore.com/

It's funny how sometimes you plan on going somewhere for a specific purpose, but then something unexpected unfolds and you are surprised by the discovery.

That happened to us recently.  We stumbled upon remnants of ancient Egypt in a remote shopping mall at Cocoa Beach.  We'd stopped to pick up an extra beach chair at Bells. When we got out of the car, Elliot saw an unusual site in the distance; a tall building with Egyptian motifs.  I grabbed the camera and we went exploring.  The Winged Sun is a symbol associated with divinity, royalty, and power in the Ancient Near East (Egypt, Mesopotamia, Anatolia and Persia)  The symbol has also been found in the records of ancient cultures in the regions of South America and Australia.

Following a path around to the front of the building we passed by this Sphinx and found ourselves at The Dinosaur Store on a major street.

I loved learning about the dinosaurs when I was a little girl, and Egypt has always fascinated me, so this was a treat.  The artifacts featured amazing elaborate fossils and precious stones

The owner had such a passion to share, having traveled around the world to collect these relics and create a fun place for children to come and learn.  We bought a small stone pyramid and some birthday gifts for family.

Later I read about the Winged Solar Disk on-line.  It is a form that the Egyptian God Horus takes into battle with Seth.  The God Thoth used magic to turn Horus into a sun-disk with splendid outstretched wings.  I like the idea of being a sun with wings that can soar high above the battlefield of the mind.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.
