Angel of Enthusiasm!

                      (The Meditation Garden this morning)

The Angel of Enthusiasm is my card for today.  It seemed that energy was already in play as I woke up feeling buoyant.

When I drew back the curtains in the den, the sunlight refracted through the tall trees creating radiant beams of light.  Looking through the camera lens, the sunshine appeared to be an image of an angel!  To my surprise when the pics were uploaded, a few orbs appeared to meet the day with enthusiasm.

Orbs in the Garden this am.

The Angel of Enthusiasm is an energizer...adding joyful, expectant intention to our day. I was so thankful for the reminder, nothing great is ever accomplished without enthusiasm.

Osprey Message: A Gift from the Angels

This past week I had a silent retreat at Saint Augustine at the Double Tree Hotel.  The Holy Spirit prompted me to spend time in solitude, recharging my batteries from the challenges that had presented themselves in 2014 to help me grow spiritually.

I was so grateful to have taken the time to go inward, but I had company.  A lone osprey appeared outside my window, sharing lunch time with me.  He spent most of the day and rested in the sunset after a fish dinner.

Ospreys are often called fish-hawks, and this one was a good teacher for me.  He stayed vigilant looking for the right opportunity coming his way and then went after it.  The symbolism of the osprey in Animal-Speak, is about asserting new efforts.  "Check your commitment to others and theirs to you.  Now is the time for active and fearless hunting."

I liked that angel message. The past is over and with the new year dawning, it is definitely a time to assert new efforts.  By following our heart, we will find new beginnings unfolding to share our spiritual gifts.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

Look for the Blessings, A Daily Review: An Angel Message

The Meditation Garden Early this morning

This morning when I stepped outside to feed Theo, our love cat, the sunlight was so beautiful beaming through the trees that I had to hurry inside and get my camera.  The angels were reminding me to count my blessings.  Just recently I was guided to a evening exercise.  It went like this:  Before going to bed, in your mind's eye, review the events of the day and assess how well you did.  Did you let the day's irritations and upsets block out the view of all the blessings that were before your eyes? Were you so caught up in dwelling on the negativity that you missed them?   If so, tomorrow be more aware to look for all the blessings that are right there waiting for you to notice.  Thoughts are energy, you attract what you think. Review the blessings that you took for granted.

The second part of that exercise is to look on actions you personally took that could have been kinder and more loving toward others. Did you zing someone with a barb, or maybe you judged another not recognizing that very fault within yourself.  The daily review is not to make you feel guilty, but to  be more vigilant for doing better next time. Send that person a silent blessing.

The third part is what I like best.  To let the Light of the Christ shine into your heart and mind, clearing the slate for a brighter tomorrow.

This evening examination was just what I needed to practice. The view on the left side of our meditation garden had shifted drastically several weeks ago when a neighbor cut back a beautiful old tree in another neighbor's yard.  Looking at this photo this morning, I got it.   I have a choice as to which way I look.  I still love that old tree next door that had given us a shade of comfort and privacy, but I can turn and face the direction that gives me the most peace now, and that is always toward the Light.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

A Cheshire Cat Grin - An Angel Message to Keep Smiling

Okay, I'll admit I've been a little "out there" recently, like spotting an oatmeal heart on my spoon, when I needed to remember to see with the eyes of love.

Amusing and insightful, angel messages can be simple, yet profound, conveyed in an everyday manner. The joyful messages appear in a symbol to help us shift our perception. The key is to be receptive and stay open minded.

The other morning when I woke up, I saw a light reflecting from the mirror or somewhere, it wasn't clear. The bedroom curtains were closed, but there was a light, shaped like a smile, on the wall over the TV.

It was kind of amusing.

As I stared at it in bed, I had a thought about the Cheshire cat in Alice and Wonderland.  His tail was the first to fade away, but the last part of him to vanish was his grin, which remained some time after the rest of him had gone.

I was thankful for the "light" message.  It seemed to be saying, all this illusion seems to be so real, but it will be translated into light, fading away in a smile. So keep smiling in the dark.

This morning when I woke up, the grin was there again.

I asked Elliot if he could see it.   He had to move over to my side to see it.

"Oh, on the TV antenna," he said.

I laughed.

Our new antenna looks like a sheet of white paper.  That was what had been holding that grin...
Even more significant became the message to watch what you're tuning into. Love or Fear

Enjoy your day with the Angels and look for their loving hopeful messages. They are smiling everywhere.  Keep your faith.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

Loving Spoonful: An Angel Oatmeal Message

Heartshaped Oatmeal Grain

I love little unexpected angel touches, some so sweet and loving they heal the heart.  I was working on a vision problem with a healing practitioner. "You will receive direct clarity on what needs to be healed in your thinking," she told me.

In the evening after having a bowl of oatmeal as a late snack, I set the bowl on the sofa beside me.  Later when I picked it up to go to the kitchen, I caught sight of a tiny oatmeal heart, the only remnant on my shiny spoon. Not trusting my eyes, I asked Elliot if he could see the heart shaped grain of oats.

"Another blog," he smiled, but I wasn't so sure.  "Take a photo," he said, "see if it turns out."

Loving spoonful was the angel thought that came while uploading the photo. No matter what may ail you, love is always the remedy. It is the only ingredient worth saving.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

My Cup of Tea...An Angel Message

There's an old saying for when we don't like something very much.  "That's not my cup of tea."   This morning my teabag had an angel message that I needed to drink in.

Live light,
travel light,
spread the light,
be the light.

A good reminder that sometimes some thing comes our way that is less than desirable, but if we can concentrate on the essence and not the material form, the light is there.

"While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light."

                                             ~Jesus
                          John 12:36

Enjoy your day with the Angels, and be the Light that you are.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

Shamrocks in Bloom: An Advent Door Surprise

What a surprise to find this  bouquet of large shamrocks in bloom by the Peace Pole in the meditation garden. A gift from the fairy realm.  According to the Language of Flowers, a shamrock is the symbol for lightheartedness.  Saint Patrick compared the tri-part leaves to the Holy Trinity:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Letting Go: An Advent Door Message

Angels speak in many ways.  I hear them best when observing nature.
Yesterday while at the Christian Science Reading Room in town, when I first arrived, I stood at the double glass doors while admiring the lovely garden. It was then I saw a little lizard.  Facing my direction, he clung tightly to the outside glass door.   He seemed to be stuck between two doors, the screen, and the double sliding glass door that led to the patio.

I was happy to be there to help! Maybe he'd been waiting all through the night for a rescue.   My friend, in charge, told me, he could probably get out the same way he got in.  It turned out that she was right, the screen was partly open on the other sliding door and he could escape whenever he was ready.  I let him be.

I had a little laugh, instead of him waiting to be rescued by me, he was a messenger waiting for me. His presence became my advent calendar "door" for the day. "Freedom"

Lizard represents dream time, a message not to take this illusion so seriously.  I had been praying about a loved one who was going through a severe testing period.  The lesson of this lizard was a timely one.  Although we, or our loved ones, may appear stuck at times with an issue, the answer is waiting if we can detach from the seeming problem and turn our focus to God. Then we'll be shown the way out.  It was there all  the time, we just couldn't see it because we were looking in the wrong direction. God is All.  When I returned home, my prayer concern had been set free into a new light. Healing was in the wings.

Synchronicity was in play.  The afternoon mail delivered a book. "The Way Out" by the author of The Impersonal Life.  The quote on the back also perfect:

"Ask and ye shall receive.  Seek and ye shall find.
Knock and it shall be opened unto you."   --Jesus

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

P.S. Although I didn't get a pic of the lizard yesterday, I went outside
with my camera today and asked for a lizard to show up for the blog
photo.  Nothing seemed to happen.  The weather a bit cloudy, but when
I turned around in my chair on the patio.  There he was...waiting.  I love
the kinship with All Life, don't you.

The Angels of Vision: Seeing Divine Reflection

On December 3rd, Elliot and I were surprised when we both selected an Angel of Vision card.   One from our old angel deck had made its way into the dish. After our morning meditation, my attention was drawn to the three flames flickering in the yellow illuminating candle bowl called Sunrise.

I recognized then that I was being shown how the three distinct reflections on the outer glass appeared to be real, if I didn't know better.  But that my understanding knew the truth, and that was that.  A higher Truth dictated that the reflections, although seen in the physical, can only reflect the perfection of the Source (Light).  Although an attempt could be made to alter the reflections by coloring the glass or trying to wipe the reflection off the glass, it simply could not be done, that much I knew for sure. I got to thinking how my true reflection can only reflect the Source.  It has no power of its own.  I thought about  my ego mind or mortal mind trying to change the perfection of my reflection as a child of God, murking it up with limited negative thinking.

Now I could see more clearly that the truth about my real Identity can only reflect the attributes of God (Life/Truth/Love) and although the glass reflection could appear different as influenced by outside factors, the true reflection although temporarily appearing different, did not change Truth.  Divine perfection is the only true and real reflection, anything else is false.

I was so thankful for the metaphor.  I gained more clarity on not being deceived by appearances. Sometimes my ego mind will present an argument that may seem valid by appearance, but the inner Knowing prevails, no matter how convincing the external evidence may appear.  So it is for each of us.   At the heart of each of us, is the spark of Christ consciousness reflecting Light and Love and Life,  eternal Truth, anything else is false.

Enjoy your day with the Angels,

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

Remembering Departed Loved Ones at Christmas Time

(Artwork Wikimedia Commons)

While shopping on Sunday, I met up with my Mom's doctor. "This is going to be a hard Christmas for you," he said, as we stood in line at the store.  The last time I'd seen him was at the hospice facility last summer.

"Mom's exactly where she wants to be." I smiled. "I've already received many little messages that she is happy."

He laughed, knowing my mother and her eagerness to move on up at age 96.

There are no coincidences, and this becomes more evident the more I stay awake. I'm always meeting up with the right people at the right place; all part of a grand plan.

I am so grateful for the understanding that life goes on beyond the physical body.  Holidays can be especially sad, longing for those cherished memories with loved ones. A book by White Eagle* helped me gain a brighter perspective.

"In the world of spirit Christmas time is a most grand and powerful ceremony or festival, of which man only gets a glimmering reflection. Here the presence of the Cosmic Christ is actually seen and felt. Try to picture a temple, apparently built out of light, in the centre of which can be seen a Christmas tree shining with light—a symbol of the Man of Light, or the perfect light symbol; also of the Giver of Light, the Creator. This scene is for the children, and oh! How they love their Christmas festival! Yes, spirit children are very like the earth children—they laugh, sing, and dance, and are easily made happy. They hear the voices of the angels. They enjoy themselves with their appointed mother guardians and with other children who to them are like brothers and sisters.

Those of you who have lost loved ones, husbands, wives or children, should realize that they have only left behind the dust of the earth. They themselves are alive in this wonderful world of eternal life, about which we are trying to speak. In love there is no separation. So at your Christmas try not to think with regret about those whom you have lost; rather let your hearts go out in joy to them in their new-found life of freedom and happiness. They can all gather round you. Yes, we are giving you their message of love. You must not think of us as being very sanctimonious and proper in the spirit world. Indeed, the beloved Lord himself has a keen sense of humour. There is greater fun in the spirit world than on earth. Therefore, may the peace of the spirit of Christ bless your Christmas, and bring to you that deep and lasting happiness which comes in the silence of the night, and in peaceful days.

Before you sleep, try to remember that if your hearts aspire, purely and simply, to join the company of heaven you too may be fetched by angels—by your own angelic teacher and guide—and so witness and even participate in this Christmas celebration. So on earth, whatever you are doing, remain alert; and in your heart keep the simple trust of a little child.

We bring all love from the brotherhood invisible. No matter how far you travel, wherever you go, whatever you do, the friends of your spirit will be close beside you, and the happiness and joy which you feel in your hearts will be increased by their loving presence. Never shut us away at Christmas, we like to come in, we like to come into your heart and into your home."

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Karen

A Christmas Tree: An Angel Message

(Artwork Wikimedia Commons)

Yesterday I got busy decorating our Christmas tree.  It had been packed away in a box in the attic.  The assembly was getting frustrating as I wrestled with the color tipped branches that weren't fitting into their designated holes on the trunk of the tree.

An angel thought reminded me that the activity of decorating a tree is symbolic of a spiritual idea.   The evergreen tree represents eternal life.  The sparkling tree lights represent spiritual illumination,  and the angel ornaments are symbolic of our heavenly helpers.  My earlier frustration faded away as I asked for divine help in putting it all together.  Soon, the branches, one after another went in without any struggle.  I relaxed and enjoyed the peacefulness of creating a beautiful tree to celebrate this holy season.

I've read that an angel presence comes to enfold each Christmas tree with love and it will remain throughout the season bringing a sense of joyful expectation that something wonderful is unfolding both within us and without.

December is a holy time as the heavenly host draws even closer to the earth plane in celebration of the Light of the World, the Christ.  Their loving presence is especially palpable in the "atmosphere" around us.  It's a joyful practice to invite the angels to join us as we go about our festivities during the season. No matter where we are, when we remember them, surprises fill the air as we look to be a blessing to others.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen
