The Peacock, Create with Love: An Angel Message

Yesterday at lunch a dear writer friend gifted me with a treasure.  This beautiful peacock journal! It has quite a history.   This magnificent binding for the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam was made with over 1,000 jewels and took two years to create! How sad that The Great Omar journal was tragically lost on the Titanic, but like the peacock symbolizes, it has resurrected in a new more accessible form for all to embrace.

Not only rich in jewels but in symbolism I see the royal peacock in the center fully unfolding his splendor for all to see. Like the Christ, he is anchored on a firm foundation: the Heart.  His loyal admirers make room for him to radiate his glorious presence while with folded plumage they begin to understand with "eyeful feathery wings" that Love is at the heart of matter when creating.

Keep your eyes on love that is the only thing that lasts forever, seems to be the message. Interesting that peacock represents watchfulness as well as resurrection, and this beautiful creation did just that.  Although the precious bejeweled  journal was lost at sea, the rich symbolism it contained lives on.  And so it is with us.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Mary Undoer of Knots: An Angel Message

Last week I came across a lovely prayer card while visiting a rural monastery where I buy St. Michael soap made by the Augustinian Monks who live there. Although a non-Catholic, Mother Mary has always held a special place in my heart; so when I read the Undoer of Knots Prayer, I knew it was just what my soul needed.

********
"With God all things are possible." (Luke 1:37)

Prayer to Our Mother Undoer of Knots

O Virgin Mary, faithful Mother who never refuses to come to the aid of
your children; Mother whose hands never cease to help, because they are
moved by the loving kindness that exists in your Immaculate Heart, cast
your eyes of compassion upon me, and see the snarl of knots that exists
in my life.  You know all the pains and sorrows caused by these tangled
knots.  Mary, my Mother, I entrust to your loving hands the entire ribbon
of my life.  In your hands there is no knot which cannot be undone.

Most Holy Mother, pray for Divine Assistance to come to my aid. Take
these knots (mention here) into your maternal hands this day, beg you
to undo it for the glory of God, once and for all, in the name of your
Divine Son, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Mary, Undoer of knots, pray for us.

Mary the Queen of Angels belongs not only to certain Judeo-Christians, but to all God's people.  She is the celebration of all human cultures steeped in faith.  Since I have been praying this healing prayer, I have found more peace and an unfolding in a gentle loving way.  I love the imagery of Mary and her angels untying the knots in the ribbon of my life.

Five Peacocks "On the Fence": An Angel Message

In addition to checking email each day, it's fun to watch for angel messages in nature and see
how they correlate with what's going on in your life.  A recurring theme for me has been "on the fence".   Saturday afternoon, while hoping to catch a glimpse of the peacocks, we parked under a tree in the rehab lot.  Soon Papa Peacock came by dragging his tail and hopped up on the fence, just sitting.  His beautiful plumage hung down like a long pony tail, but he stayed put.  I thanked him for the message.  I'd been "on the fence" about an issue and had just taken action.

Then yesterday evening out for a drive, Elliot surprised me by visiting the peacocks.  Intuitively, I knew where they would be. Not in the usual spot, but around the bend.   Sure enough--a family of five were together on the fence as if waiting for us to come by!  And, me without a camera--but I got the message. Make a decision. Don't stay on the fence.

Peacocks are all about watchfulness. So the angels recommend keeping an eye out for areas in which you are on the fence, and take an action.  Sometimes in our efforts to please everyone--we hold back. A Course in Miracles teaches we can choose to be either host to the Holy Spirit or hostage to the ego.  When we make a decision with the help of the angels, we know it's correct because we have peace.

Enjoy your nature messages from the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

P.S. You can find the symbolism of many birds and animals on the web.

A Tender Morn - An Angel Message

                                          (Artwork - Wikimedia Commons)

Each day begins in tenderness... and by taking a moment to pause in the stillness and be fully present to the wonders of Love and Life around us, we invite the kind of day we expect.  The angels remind us to put first things first.  Starting the day on a "spiritual foot"-- in gratitude-- we will soon discover how each step will unfold in grace and joyful blessings.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Singing: An Angel Message

On Friday evenings, our little town has a farmer's market filled with fresh vegetables and treasures for sale.  Last week, the angels were present as I found this sweet Victorian artwork   Just like directing the birds, angels can teach us to sing our own song.  We know it's the right tune when it comes straight from the heart and is in harmony with those around us.  I was reminded of this joyful quote by the author of The Artist's Way:

Just trust your song
Trust what it’s bringing you.
Just trust your song.
Trust that it’s ringing true.
Just trust your song.
Trust that it’s bringing you home.

Enjoy your day with the angels! And feel free to express your true self.

Love Pigeons: A Message from the Angels

                                      Pigeons at Lake Helen Today

Centuries ago, pigeons played an important role with their extraordinary homing sense.  No matter how far these birds traveled, they always knew the way back home--like an internal GPS! I just learned that the real name of Christoper Columbus was "Columbo" which is the Italian word for pigeon. Interesting since Columbus discovered a new home.

I was thankful I had my camera today.  High up on a utility pole by the lake, these colorful pigeons struck this sweet pose.  An angelic reminder to communicate tenderly with each other and remember that home is where the heart is.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Angels in Every Moment

Logic defies anything that can not be experienced by the five senses.  That's one reason people have a hard time believing in angels; but the proof, as they say, is in the pudding.  I didn't always believe in  angels--it seemed rather silly to embrace their loving presence as part of my everyday reality. Didn't they have more important work to do? But, in the midst of challenges, with a little willingness, I cracked open the door to that wonderful possibility.  To my delight, synchronicity joyfully bounced into my days, helping me to deal with obstacles so I could take the next step up. The work had everything to do with overcoming my own little self!  The effort was healing as I slowly began to change and it continues as I am a work in progress, but with more peace and joy most days.

A dear friend was sharing a revelation he had many years ago.  Alone and in pain in the middle of the night, he got up and sat on the porch.  Rocking back and forth an angel message came to mind as he sat on his rocker: You are not alone.  In that healing moment, his body relaxed in that truth. He was not alone and never could be. A peacefulness came over him. Comforted by that healing promise, he returned to bed pain-free.

Angels are like that...they know exactly what we need to hear and when.  Their timing is precision-like. Their love infallible.  They long to fill our lives with all the goodness of God. So why not invite them in?

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

An Angel Message from a Cypress Tree

Last week I found time to rest with my back against an old cypress tree at nearby Lake Helen.  A view of the  tranquil water, blue sky, and a cool breeze were just what my soul needed. I sat on knobby "knee" roots sticking up from the soil and leaned into a quiet time of reflection.

Later looking up the symbolism of the cypress tree, I learned it is a tree of mourning.  With a birthday and Mother's Day coming up--my first without Mom--I was so thankful for the angels' guidance.

A message from the cypress tree on the web described my healing.  "The cypress recalls the freedom of the forest and invites you to leave your attachments behind, settle in a quiet place and be free."

The weekend although different from the past proved to be loving and fun, thanks to the inspiration of the angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

Angels: What are you creating?

What a surprise to see beautiful pink lilies in bloom for my birthday last weekend. Lilies are angelic messengers of wonderful new beginnings, and a birthday represents just that.  Many gifted artists throughout history have painted  The Annunciation  showing Archangel Gabriel offering Mary a white lily in honor of her upcoming mission as Mother to the Christ.

Today the angels are here to help accelerate our spiritual growth. They remind us that great works of art, music, creativity, and invention are not limited to an elite group of masters.  The angels want to tell you that your life is a masterpiece. That's hard for some of us to believe, I know. But just  as a seed holds the potential for a beautiful flower,  an unseen "spiritual kernel" within each of us is ready to crack out of its hard hull and wiggle up into the light to bloom. It just needs our willingness.

That's why it's important to make choices that benefit our intentions.  During this time of rapid technology,  thousands of images a day via Internet, television, and print media bombard us. If you live in a city you  may observe around 22,000 advertising impressions a day.  Reading email brings up a sidebar of "personally selected" buys to meet your every need.  So if you would choose to live your life, you must draw from the inspiration within yourself, not borrowed from the media and other external stimuli.

If only you would stop to realize that in each moment you are creating with your every thought and every word. Whenever you think, speak, or act, you are painting the portrait of your life--so choose wisely.  Most of us create by default without any real thought as to the results. The Angels remind us to pay attention to what gives you the greatest joy in sharing and act from it.  Hold a clear picture in your mind of what brings you ***life*** and, then stay focused on the goal...and watch what happens...

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

Angel of Inspiration for Beginning a New Project

Since birds represent higher thought for they freely navigate between  earth and sky I chose this artwork to depict the Angel of Inspiration.  Angels are pure intuition, messengers of divine revelation that can come to mind in many ways:  the words of a friend, a song, a book, even an ad on TV.  Usually angels take something that we value and then translate it into a spiritual message that causes a shift in our thinking.

I was guided to this passage of a book I acquired last year, but had not yet read.  Unity of All Life.  The author, Eric Butterworth, shared a wonderful affirmation that I found especially helpful.

"Begin every project with an invocation of the unity of all life.
Make it just as spontaneous as turning on the light upon entering
a room.  Affirm:  I am one with all life, with all Mind, with
all substance.  That which I seek to do is already done, and I
give thanks for its success.  My mind is open, receptive, and
responsive to divine inspiration and guidance."

I found these words freeing--that which I seek to do is already done, but I must be willing to stay open to divine inspiration.

Enjoy your day with the Angels and keep expanding your creativity. The world needs your gifts at this time.  .

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

Wild Peacocks: An Angel Message

It seemed like an  idyllic  scene out of Alice and Wonderland as Elliot and I visited our friend in rapid recovery at a nearby rehab facility in nature.  To our delight, she was already in good company enjoying the fresh air.  While we sat outside on the patio, two beautiful peacocks roosted in the shady old tree above us, eavesdropping on our conversation.

We complimented these magnificent birds on their radiant beauty.  Soon there was a flutter of wings and they touched down to put on a fashion show. Like models on a runway, they slowly pivoted with wings fully fanned.  Afterwards they rested beside us.   I was wearing a peacock bracelet... what you think you will attract. I have always had an affinity for peacocks.  But to see them in the wild like this was really special.

I didn't have my camera, but returned later to find Papa Peacock (here) resting by the trees across the parking area.  Isn't he a beauty?

Their visitation seemed so deliberate that I looked up the esoteric symbolism of the peacock.  Resurrection and wise vision are the keynotes (because of the "eyes" within their feathering)  In Egypt the peacock was associated with the all seeing eye of Horus.  They also have to do with feet, pay attention to where you place yours as they represent discipleship/dominion.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

The Angel of Unexpected Blessings

With a love for the sea, it's no wonder I was attracted to this little angel at a local bookstore.  The scallop shells on her hem are symbols of a spiritual pilgrim on a journey home.

Her message is encouraging and speaks of unexpected blessings, which is this angel's name.  The large white pearl inside the open shell  reveals a victory. All the inner work has paid off.

The oyster is a tightly closed creature.  It protects itself  by hiding from observation. Inside the hard shell, the oyster takes specks of grit, stress, and other negative factors and transforms them into a beautiful pearl.

The angels are encouraging us to do the same.  We, too, can turn our problems into beautiful victories.  Interesting to note, that the pearl symbolizes the kingdom of heaven.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen
