Fortune Cookie - Angel Message

The angels seemed to play a hand in celebrating the Chinese New Year. After enjoying our carryout dinner I opened my fortune cookie. To my surprise, the message was so perfect:

Get into the spirit of the times

Spirit is the key to finding peace during these changing times. Angels are a present help in time of trouble. They encourage us to use our free will and ask for their help.

The Chinese Year of the rooster brings in enthusiasm, humor and creates an atmosphere to express our creativity.

Enjoy your day with the angels,

On - the - Fence: An Angel Message

Peacocks are symbols of Christ. Their feathered eyes are a reminder to keep our focus on the divine.

Yesterday the angels prompted us to take a drive to see the wild peacocks. This beautiful one perched on the fence with its colorful  plumage facing us seemed to have struck a deliberate pose: On the fence was the message.
In what area are you undecided? To get off the fence is to take an action. When we decide to partner with God and His angels everyone wins.

Enjoy your day with the angels.

Angel Of Awakening

This morning when I reached into the bowl for my daily angel card, two angels popped up together. The Awakening angel and the angel of Sisterhood Brotherhood are perfect companions for greeting a new dawn. Today may we awaken to our true spiritual identity as a holy Child of God.

Enjoy your day with the angels.

Peacock Ore - Angel Message

The angels of synchronicity were at work when my friend Debra found this peacock ore in her files. The new year started off with a fan of peacock energy. I was delighted to receive this colorful rock in the mail.

Unlike the light-weight feathers of a real peacock, the angels delivered a message with this iridescent ore. Not knowing there was such a rock, I looked up the symbolism. It is a happiness stone (bornite) that brings newness to life, a perfect message for a new year!  It can also help one to release grief and to cast off that which is no longer useful.

The main theme: "to enjoy life to the fullest."

So if you are reading this blog today, the angels lovingly direct you to toss your peacock ore into the stream of life and send happiness ripples out across the waters.

Enjoy your day with the angels,

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

Unseen Help On High

                                                                                       (Photo from the web)

Rev. Flower A. Newhouse, a gifted 20th century Christian mystic who founded Questhaven retreat in California, devoted most of her her life to public service to increase the world's awareness of Angels. In her book, Rediscovering the Angels, she wrote about a spiritual experience at the Lincoln Memorial:

"My husband and I with two understanding friends visited the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. It is an imposing edifice, but what impressed me so deeply was what the tribute symbolized. The design of the memorial is a symbol of an initiate who works along the lines of humanitarian service. The line of power issuing from the Inner Government of the World does not enshroud the Capitol building nor the stately White House, but instead, the Lincoln Memorial.
Above this edifice was a huge National Angel whose duty was to direct the force from the Master of America to those buildings, meetings or persons who required it. Enveloping the statue of Abraham Lincoln was another Great Angel who blessed each individual who looked upon the figure of this initiate."

It took great courage for Abraham Lincoln to fulfill his life's purpose. I find it comforting that despite external circumstances, a host of heavenly assistance is available to our nation and the world. Through prayer and meditation we can lift our thoughts to union with God and help create peace on earth.

Love Does Not Keep Score

Sometimes an "angel message" will suddenly come as inner wisdom, a fresh new thought. It will interrupt our ego chatter.

I was awake early this morning lying in bed. In the darkness, my ego had been mulling over a long list of kindnesses extended in the past that laid fallow, bearing little gratitude, if any.

A quick review of those events made me question, why bother? Why not just keep to yourself and withhold random acts of kindness? That's when I heard an angel message: Love does not keep score. It was followed by another message: Never tire of well-doing. A smile, an encouraging word, a warm hug, can't really be measured.

Love does not keep score, but that's how the ego plays the game.

To lift the heart of another is to team up with the angels and hit a home run.

Enjoy your day with the angels.

The Peacock Rainbow - An Angel Message

Angel messages may come in mundane ways. Last week a friend sent me this picture of a peacock from her Christmas card. She added a blessing for the new year and wondered how I would react. But, her guidance had been so strong that she sent the partial card, knowing my passion for peacocks. I loved the beautiful bird and propped it up on the end table in plain view.

This morning, what a surprise to find a rainbow glowing on the card as I sat in the chair beside it.  It seemed to bring another angel message of hope and peace for the new year.

Peacock often symbolizes the Christ and represents watchfulness.

But more was to come...after taking this photo, I noticed the old tea-towel I had used the day before while eating a juicy orange. The words seemed to jump out at me. ACE PEACE.

Chuckling, it seemed the angels had a universal message: Play the PEACE ACE you hold in your hand, and don't throw in the towel when the game gets messy.

The Missing Key - An Angel Message

Several days ago Elliot discovered a lost key on the front walk. This find reminded me of other keys that had turned up in the past.

For instance, one day while sitting in the backyard, I was just drifting with no particular thought. The large trees had been recently pruned, cutting away the dead wood.  I was feeling a little pruned myself and so I was spending time enjoying nature in the now.  As I laid back on the chaise lounge, my attention was drawn to the giant key propped up against the old camphor tree.  It had been a fun find at a thrift shop that made me wonder about the large door of opportunity it  could open. Alice in Wonderland came to mind... how objects would grow or shrink to teach her a lesson.

I love the ending of her journey. As Alice is frantically retracing her steps back to the door, the Queen's fierce army of Cards in hot pursuit is about to nab her. In a barrage of fear, it looks like Alice is a goner, but she knows the goal. If she can just make it to the door, she'll be home! To her surprise, as she pulls on the doorknob, the door is locked! I've got to get home! Her fate seems sealed, but when she was told to look through the keyhole, in amazement, she sees herself sleeping peacefully under the shade of the tree. WAKE UP, ALICE!, she repeatedly shouts. Thank God that it was only a dream. Alice was home all the time.

So no matter what your story may look like today, as you look at your keys, may you remember the missing key: WAKE UP! It's only a dream, that you can ever be separated from the Love of God. Angels lovingly watch over you.

You are at home in God,
dreaming of exile
but perfectly capable of
awakening to reality.
Is it your decision to do so?                                        (A Course in Miracles - Chapter 10)

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Angels and Dreams

Several years ago, before creating this blog, I had a wonderful dream. I saw two angels at dusk walking at the edge of a field bordered by tall trees. Although they were a good distance away, I could feel the rush of their holy presence on the other side of the field. It was the same wonderment one gets when seeing snow for the very first time. Hurrying towards them, I called out. They were dressed in white and somehow lighted. I thought perhaps they were carrying candles, but it was the glow of their light that helped me see them. By the time I got to where they were, they had disappeared. I awakened hearing a familiar angel tune that I hadn't heard in quite a long while.

Curious, the next morning, I went to get the songbook. To my surprise,  it was opened to Adoration to the Angels. The song I heard in my dream!

"Dear angels, bright angels now hov'ring above
Are watching, protecting, and guiding with love
Dear angels of heaven, our songs rise to thee
In quiet communion thy beauty we see

Dear angels, blest angels send comfort to earth
In minst'ring, healing, and giving rebirth
Perfection's great light now enfold every soul
To teach us and help us to all reach our goal.

Dear angels, God's angels, thou cohorts of Light
Though presently veiled from our earthly sight
God's peace and God's love are the keys to your heart
We love you and pray that you never depart.

Then one day, dear angels, we'll rise up to thee
To dwell in the realms of they creativity
We then shall ascend borne on Light's shining ray
Majestic, triumphant, bring in the new day."
(Summit University Press)

This precious dream and the synchronicity that followed were a gift that strengthened my faith in the unseen help that is available to us all.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

How Deep Is Deep Enough? An Angel Message

While taking a walk at Back Bay Park in Virginia Beach, I was surprised to find this water level marker sticking up like a yardstick. How deep is deep enough? It brought back memories of a time when my life was at the crossroads. I was driving back home to Atlanta from a visit in my home state Virginia. No more NBC angel documentaries were planned.

 What next?

With 500 miles to go, I reached for the car radio to break the monotony. It was timely as I listened to a Christian broadcast on Joshua and his plight to cross the Jordan River with all the Israelites. Not really in the mood for a sermon, I changed the station.  But it was the only program on the airwaves.  In need of guidance, I stayed tuned:

The minister asked, “Do you know what it's like to camp? The preparation required?”

Joshua was responsible for 3 million people. He needed a state the size of Rhode Island, a 700-mile radius for the Israelites. God provided garments and shoes that lasted for 40 years. Heavenly manna was provided daily. As they marched along, the people were told to stay far behind the Ark of the Covenant. Some believed this was because they were tainted and may spoil the Ark. But the minister said that God wanted all the people to be able to keep their eyes on the Covenant. If it were too close to the crowd up front, the people in the back would not be able to see it.

The minister spoke about the faith the priests who carried the Ark had to have the day they approached the Jordan River. The closer they came to the water's edge, the more trust was needed. There was no visible sign the mighty river would recede. They began to wade into the water.

The minister said, “The message was to keep your eyes on God." Sometimes God doesn't come until the water is up around your knees. Sometimes your neck. But the point is, you have to put your feet in the water before He will come. You can't just stand on the shore. You have to have faith and demonstrate that faith. As you go through uncertainties in your life, keep your eyes on God and remember how He came through for you in the past.

I turned off the radio.

Glug...Glug...Glug...I was in the deep water, for sure, uncertain about my future. After listening to that timely message, the rest of the drive, I reflected on how God had helped me with other challenges.  Instead of worrying about the future, I needed to trust God.

Later in South Carolina, I tried the radio again, hoping for some music. The only program within range was that same talk about Joshua! I laughed, recognizing the angels wanted to make sure I got it. "Thank you, Angels.  I got it the first time!"  I was grateful for the message.

Finally back in Atlanta, as I turned down the driveway at home, the church marquis on my street made me look twice: Keep your eyes on Jesus.

Enjoy your day with the Angels. May our faith deepen this year with the help of God's Angels.

Yellow Brick Road - An Angel Message

(Photo from Wikimedia Commons)

For He shall give His angels charge over thee,
to keep thee in all thy ways.
                                                                  Psalm 91:11

As the new year begins, this angel sign is a fun reminder to keep on moving. Follow the yellow brick road. Don't spin your wheels on the past, but stay in the steady flow. Yield to your Guardian Angel and enjoy the ride. Expect good things up ahead.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Helping Hand

Angel messages often appear in unusual and inspiring ways. This morning rather than jump up to do the daily tasks, I sat still enjoying a peaceful moment on the sofa before the rush of the day. The chill in the room had me reach for the warmth of the lamp beside me. As I gazed at the lampshade, I saw my hand magnified by the light. In that moment, an angel thought illumined my mind: How will you use your hands today? There are endless opportunities to give this year a helping hand.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

Happy New Year: An Angel Message

This peacock fanned his feathers as I took his picture on New Year's Eve. His message was to look back in gratitude and let the old year go. I watched him pivot to reveal his best side as he faces a brand New Year.

It seemed like good advice and I thanked him for his royal display.

May the coming year fill your heart with joy, love and peace as you explore the beauty of nature that surrounds you.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen
