The Sounds of Christmas: An Angel Message

The little door on my advent calendar Saturday revealed a bell.  It set the tone for an afternoon Christmas Concert at Stetson University down the street.  A present from a dear friend.  As you can see, the stage is set, awaiting the arrival of the orchestra and choir from the School of Music.

Staring at the empty seats, I got a glimpse that life is like a stage.  Everything is prepared for our entrance to play our part in the performance.  All we need to do is show up, and invite the angels to join us in the orchestration.

What joy to stand and sing Hark! The Herald Angels Sing and Angels We Have Heard on High with nearly 200 students pursuing degrees in music, accompanied by a chamber orchestra, brass ensembles and a pipe organ.   The international program included beautiful carols sung in Latin, Hebrew, German, Russian, and Spanish.  I'm so grateful to the University for sharing their gift of music with the community, and to my friend for setting the joyful tone for this holy season.

Have a joyful day with the Angels.
