A Winged Messenger: Nature Angels

With the start of Autumn, and the angelic advice to spend more time outdoors, it was a surprise to find nature calling so close to home.  I  happened to look down at the driveway after getting out of the car to bring in the groceries.  Brown wind-blown leaves scattered by the night's rain created a motif, but another large brown fluttery-like object  was part of the montage.  An angel thought suggested, take a closer look.

A beautiful large brown moth, with two purplish eye-spots, on its hindwings was at rest on the speckled pavement. Moths are attracted to the light. And the lantern by the backdoor shines brightly during the night.

An on-line search popped up a startling surprise.

An exact picture of our moth messenger, along with its message:

"Moth is the master of disguise and is reminding you to be aware that you could be hiding from yourself.  Are you using your emotions to keep yourself hidden from others?  It is time that you transform your emotional energy away from drama and into something closer to your heart.  Have faith in your journey and trust that although things seem to be complicated right now, you will eventually see the light.  Use your  heart to guide you."

The idea of hiding from myself was somewhat startling. But perhaps we are all a little fearful of truly being ourselves in a world of conformity.  The message to let the heart guide, knowing we will eventually see the light is a powerful reminder.  The Light of God shines in each of us.

"Moth represents the beginning of a new shift in your life.  New people, events, or energy.  A big moth represents BIG changes, big opportunities and things that can no longer be ignored.  It also signals that you must also trust that you will eventually see the light."

It is always darkest before the dawn, so keep having faith and trusting that you are in the company of angels, lighting the way. The best is yet to be.  Never give up. And, keep on shining, the world needs your loving smiles now more than ever.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen
