An Angel Message: Divine Order, a Prayer of Attunement

This morning I woke up to thunder and lightning and got out of bed to start my morning prayer and meditation time listening to the pouring rain. Soon the storm lightened. Maybe it negated the Saharan Dust Plume heading our way this weekend.

While cleaning out a messy catch-all basket by the sofa,  I found a little leaflet, Divine Order and You. I was surprised by the title.  I don't remember seeing it before. Just recently a long-distance friend had said when discussing an issue, Like my friend Rae Karen always says, everything is always in divine order.  I realized then, I don't always remember that truth or fall back on that affirmation.

Divine order was coming into focus as the angel's topic for today's blog. Curious, a search of older blogs turned up only one in 2014, called Divine Order and the Universe. I was thankful it jogged my memory that God is in the details. Here's what it mostly said:

Maybe you've noticed how sometimes when searching for something you've tucked away, you find something else even more meaningful in that moment. Something you've forgotten and needed to remember.   That's what happened to me yesterday.  While looking through a box of old journals, an article about the stars and planets popped up, entitled Divine Order in the Universe.  I kept it out to read later, and went about my day.

After lunch while browsing the book shelves at a local thrift shop, I came across a large photo book of Hubble space shots called The Hand of God.  My love for astronomy began in the third grade.  I returned home with my find and put it on the coffee table to enjoy.

A short time later, I read the article on Divine Order in the Universe (written in 2002). It referenced my new astronomy book, The Hand of God.  The timing seemed to be in divine order.

Combining both titles created a wonderful angel message:

With the Hand of God, there is divine order in the universe. When you look up at the night sky, you can see harmony and order in the movement of the universe. As above, so below.

When synchronicity comes in to play a hand, it's comforting to realize that God knows our every need before we even do.  We live and move and have our being in the Divine.

Synchronicity is often described as meaningful coincidences that manifest based upon our intent or energy vibration.  Through our vibrations, we attract things, people, and circumstances which closely match our own frequency.  With our focus on the divine, paths open up and life moves in the ease of harmony and effortless accomplishment of divine order.  Like the stars, we are here to shine our light and bring joy and beauty to others.  Angels, the forget-me-nots of the universe, are present waiting for an invitation to guide when we get out of our own way and move in divine order.

There is a wisdom and a way,
and order and a will.
It works at the heart of things;
it moves through
suns and stars--
and you, if you will let it.

Divine Order... a simple yet powerful prayer worth remembering.

Purple Iris: A Message for You

A sweet friend in Virginia shared a lovely photo she took while out on a nature walk.  I've always loved purple irises and miss them here.  In the past, when an iris appeared, it was my sign from God to keep on going I was on the right path.

In the Victorian language of flowers to receive an iris meant: I have a message for you.

I took a closer look at Deb's photo.  An expansive view captured more than just the beautiful purple iris by the sunlit lake.  I drank in the serene reflection of sailing white fluffy clouds across a celestial blue sky.   The leafy green tree peered into the water to get a glimpse of itself.  The beautiful iris had not just one, but two full purple blooms opened wide.  Standing on the water's edge, among the tall green grasses, windswept ripples stirred the iris to sway in a gentle breeze. A peaceful picture of contentment, basking in a portal of light in a moment of eternity.

Later, I discovered the iris message in a symbology book.  The keynote of the iris is to maintain hope; a sense of peace restored; new birth at hand.  Purple has a high vibration and represents spirit.

Tucked inside the book I found an old article on gardening. It turned out to have the perfect message from the purple iris photo. An uplifting angel message for these shifting times we live in.  And, to  remember that God speaks to us in flowers.

"Learn also from the flower that where thou art, ye, too,
may make that place more beautiful for your being there,
whether it is in this or that or whatever place.
Whether in the hovel or in the home of the mighty,
make it beautiful as do the flowers."
Edgar Cayce Readings 5122-1

It's never too late to bloom where you're planted.

Love and peace,

A Rabbit Watch: An Angel Message

The grass was soaked this morning, cooler temperatures, a fresh breath of air...a sense of satisfaction filled the atmosphere at the start of a new day.  A bunny came by and sat still as I watched him from the porch.  A beautiful peaceful rabbit with a white powder puff tail, big shiny bright eyes and two tall ears sticking up like antennas on top of his furry brown head.  He posed still as a statue... vigilant.  I got the angelic message... Keep your ears and eyes opened wide and you'll see God in all the details.

It was a visual confirmation of my morning journal guidance:

"Dear One,

It's hard to discipline your mind to stay focused on Me,
even in the most mundane little chores.  This is the practice
of praying without ceasing-- what you do, say or think has power
and grace when I am present.  Watch and be still...
Listen for My direction...the little pull to go here or do that...
Pay attention to detail. Let us travel the road together in joy this day.
Let the beating of your heart be the cadence of Love leading the way forward.
Be filled with gratitude for every step you take,
for where you stand is holy ground.  All is well."

Later, I came across a recent photo of the white rabbit's pocket-watch at Sunflower Park.  The timepiece symbol from the story of Alice and Wonderland is beginning to show evidence of wear and tear over the years.   "I'm late. I'm late for a very important date."  The famous line the harried rabbit mumbled before disappearing down the rabbit hole.

The rabbit's pocket-watch reminded me of taking time to seek God at the beginning of each day.  And, to avoid frantically running here and there driven by the petty tyrant of time. Haste makes waste.  Time is relative.  Wonderful things happen when the day begins by keeping a very important date with the Divine.  Oh, the places you'll go and the people you'll meet... A Wonder Land.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

A Memorial Weekend Messenger of Light: Angel Message

On Saturday afternoon the heavy rains and thunderstorm finally passed. The dry earth was soaked again, the lawn a lush green.  Matilda, a favorite old tree, reached up in gratitude for the refreshing waters had soaked her thirsty branches.  A lone red hawk landed on the black cable, feathers drenched as he gently swayed watching out for fresh opportunities.  I was sitting in the sun-room thankful for the peace...now that the storm had passed...when my attention was drawn to something unusual on our new American flag at the end of the sidewalk.

From a distance, it appeared as though a dragonfly had lighted upon the flag pole posing for an amazing picture?  Really?

With my camera zooming through the misty windowpane, I focused on a glorious sight.  A beautiful turquoise dragonfly had crowned Old Glory.  An uplifting  message to believe in the power of Light.   A wonderful symbol of faith and trust on Memorial weekend. Her iridescent wings circled the flag in a dance of  little rotations, only to resume her stance on the golden flag tip.  A finial, a beacon of light, at rest above the stars and stripes. I was thankful for the ample opportunities to try and get it right.

You can see her lacy wet wings were folded forward in prayer...  God bless America.

Without a nudge from the angels, I could have missed the divine timing of this important little detail, delivered simply and directly.  A soggy little dragonfly's big light-filled message of hope for our country and the world. God is in the details.  How blessed we are to be in the company of God's angels, pure intuition, passing to each of us healing messages of light to help us see beyond the illusion of separation from divine Love.  Storms come to pass...and all things are brought to Light. We are children of the Light.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

Hawk Vision: An Angel Message

It was hot last Sunday when we stopped to visit our donkey friend at the Orchid Farm.  Sitting underneath a picnic arena canopy a short distance from Alhambra, I could see he was taking a snooze in the shade of the trees, legs locked.

Not wanting to disturb his peace, I too was thankful to be out of the sun. I happened to look up and that's when I saw it.  A lone red-shouldered hawk perched atop a lifeless old tree. His choice of vantage point was amusing as the vigilant hawk seemed to be framed between two dead branches that looked like goalposts.  Watching and waiting on-high for the next opportunity to come his way.

Would you believe later when I looked up the symbolism of hawks, there was an analogy of a football field.  "All hawks see seven to ten times better than humans. In fact, if a hawk could read, and a newspaper were held at one end of a football field with the hawk at the opposite end, the hawk could read the headlines.  Because of their vision and strength, all hawks are guardians. Hawk's appearance heralds a time of greater vision and strength which will help in our present endeavors.  Protection will be provided on our journeys.  Now is the time to move forward...

A funny thing happened when I moved forward to greet our donkey friend...he gave me a heartwarming bray!

I hope you're learning more and more to open up and receive guidance through angel messages that appear in nature.  What blesses one, blesses all, and the more attuned we become, the louder the volume, and bolder the visual expression.  We are never alone.  We live and move and have our being in an atmosphere of Divine Love.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

A Cardinal at the Door: Angel Message

This morning when a repairman came to fix the water-heater, he hesitated at the front door. A beautiful bird was waiting, facing the door, as if hoping to be invited inside the house.   The cardinal stayed still, holding its ground, sending chills up my spine.  I asked the electrician to come around to the back door which he gladly did.

I hurried out back and returned to the front door.  The little bird was waiting...at the door.

Whenever a departed loved one draws near, a cardinal appears... My thoughts turned to my mother on the other side.   I sat down on the bench and spoke softly, encouraging the young bird to fly free...but she remained by the door, and then turned to look at me. I wondered what the message was in that moment.  What was I being asked to do?  I sent healing thoughts in case she was injured.

Before long, an inner stirring by the front door, caused a sudden shift.  A beautiful sight unfolded.  Reddish wings opened wide and she flew toward the sunlit pasture.  I watched her land safely on an old tree. And, like most angel messages, they never leave us where they find us...my spirit soared free, grateful to see her take flight.

It's comforting to know that whatever we may be going through to remember that we are never truly alone.  Stand firm in faith, and realize that you are not a physical body, but a spiritual being of light, in a state of grace forever.  God has sent his angels to watch over you...  All is well...

Later I learned the name of our angel repairman.  Francisco.  (St. Francis)  You can't make these things up.  Praise God.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

Just in Time: An Angel Message

Divine timing is amazing...the little angel nudges  to go there and do this can often lend a helping hand at a time of desperate need.  The day after my birthday, I went to the kitchen for a snack in the afternoon (which I never do).  Standing at the sink, I looked out the window.  By the garage, a good distance away, the garden pond was swirling like an eddy.  An animal was drowning, fighting for its life.

We ran out to help.  A large gopher tortoise was thrashing in the water!  Elliot grabbed a small yellow garden rake, and scooped the heavy-domed tortoise up high in the air and placed him on the sidewalk.  Frightened it looked like an oversized brown football.  Arms, legs and head  tucked inside its hard shell for protection.

We waited, hoping for the best.  Before long, it popped back into shape.. and paused to catch its breath and get centered...recalculate before moving forward.

It was unsettling... The large tortoise apparently fought hard to keep his head out of water, clawing at the slippery plastic walls to get back to dry land. No telling how long he'd been trying his best, but I was grateful for the spectacle in the pond that sent me running for help. Tortoises are terrestrial, and unlike turtles, they will drown in water. Their skeletal structure is made to burrow down deep in the earth with powerful shovel claws to build tunnels where other animals may live, too.  A community.

Was this my old friend Timothy who made an appearance on my birthday after a long absence? Thank goodness, he was safe on dry land back where he belonged.  We happily watched that big wet helmet glisten in the sunlight as Timothy headed toward the dry land of home.   "Have a nice life," I called out, thankful the angels got my attention and I was at the right place at the right time to make a difference.

The following day synchronicity was at play while shopping for a birthday gift from a friend.  I laughed at the timing.  Really? A bronze-like gopher tortoise with a wide-eyed frog passenger clinging to its domed back. A wonderful symbol of the angel rescue. The old garden pond where the tortoise scaled the rocks and slipped in happens to be where tiny tadpoles transform into happy frogs.  And, frog always remind me of the acronym Fully Rely on God.  F.R.O.G. it.

Have a happy day, and remember you are never alone.  God has given his angels charge over you... fully rely on God, and expect the best.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

What's Yours Will Come to You: Angel Message

Yesterday while sitting on the porch looking out at the newly potted flowers on the patio, a beautiful turquoise dragonfly flitted by.  To my delight, she landed on the apex of an old  hanging basket tripod. Like a finial topper on a tree, she glowed in the morning sunlight.

Turquoise dragonflies, although rarely seen, remind me of my angel friend Joanna on the other side. Hello, Joanna! I playfully greeted her. She had loved dragonflies and they were always a message from her late husband, encouraging her to trust in the light.

Seeing the lovely image of the dragonfly striking such a deliberate pose, gave me an idea to grab my camera. The turquoise winged dragonfly on the throw pillow on the turquoise porch chair across from me was a sign to go for it.

When I hurried out, asking the angels for help, what a disappointment.  My dragonfly caller was no longer in sight.  An angel nudge suggested...take a seat...wait in the sunshine...what's yours to share will come to you.  With that uplifting thought in mind, I sat down on a turquoise Adirondack chair enjoying the warm sun on my face.  Yes, I'm going through a turquoise phase--soaking up that soothing color.

I didn't have to wait long.   The turquoise-jeweled head of that lovely winged messenger flew by me, circling round, and, once again, landed atop the rusted old garden hanger, giving it new life. A perfect photo op.  If only I could steady the bouncing lens to focus in with clarity in the bright sunlight. I've learned over the years, the wisdom of asking the angels for help. I snapped away hoping for the best.

When the photos were uploaded, what joy.  Not only were the iridescent wings folded forward as if in prayer, but I could see the reflection of many colors on those amazing transparent wings.

Dragonflies are ancient symbols of new joy and light.  When one appears, it's time to trust in the power of Light. Their large compound eyes can have as many as 30,000 tiny lenses that detect the subtlest of movements and shifting of light.   A reminder that as light shifts so do our perceptions, and they are very accurate and sharp right now.

Dragonflies also remind us that we are light, and we can shine in very powerful ways if we choose to do so.  Now is the time to express our own inner light.  Life is never as it appears...  Dragonfly is a messenger to help us see through the illusions so we can shine fully in our creative endeavors.

Light! Light! Light!  My "one word" for this year is working overtime.  Thoughts are things and what we focus on we bring into our experience.  Keep on shining bright, expecting the best...and giving thanks for the loving, tireless angels that guide, comfort and protect us.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

A Birthday Visit from an Old Friend

What a wonderful birthday surprise to see my old tortoise friend Timothy plodding along the outer pasture fence.  I was having lunch in the sun-room when I spotted his high-topped dome shell slowly moving in the sunshine. I grabbed my camera and went out to welcome him.    He'd been missing ever since the hurricanes last fall.  His timely appearance was the answer to a prayer as I could see he was doing well and hadn't moved on to greener pastures.

But there he was, big and beautiful, enjoying the day, methodically plodding along, slow and steady, stopping to eat blades of grass for lunch.  From a distance, I watched him try to squeeze his big shell through the narrow openings in the wire fence and return home inside the pasture.

But that wasn't going to happen.  "You can dig down under the fence with your shovel toes," I reminded him.  Tortoises can dig up to 16 feet...  This would be a piece of cake.  But Timothy was not in the mood and plodded along by the fence in search of an opening.  I knew he would find a way, and let him be, thanking him for my birthday gift.

I later learned that when a tortoise appears, we have usually been going through many changes and many burdens, and though it may not appear so, now the dawn is slowly approaching.  So carry on by moving along and facing things steadily and slowly in our endeavors.  Though the responsibilities have been great, we will succeed in time.  A wonderful message of hope.

You can see a clip of Timothy in action on the angels for you website link at the bottom of your email.

Have a joyful day...and remember you are never truly alone.  All is well.  For he has given his angels charge over you...  Slow and steady wins the race.

 Love and peace,

Rae Karen

Happy Mothers' Day

A favorite tree I call Matilda went through a heavy pruning this week.   I watched from the window as the elevator crane operator whirled himself up and down as if on a carnival ride trimming her full leafy branches that soon lay in a big heap at her feet, covering most of the yard. When he finished, I was grateful to see that she was still standing.

With no rain for months, I worried.  The shock of that drastic pruning and no rain might cause her downfall. But like grace, heavy rains came through the night and soaked Matilda to the bone. Refreshed and renewed, she was a picture of celebration.  A happy countenance, arms raised skyward, she greeted Mother's Day in a sunshine glow.  A lightness of being.  A testimony that we may experience a long arid season in life, and then if that's not enough--a drastic surprise pruning, leaving us in a quandary as to who we really are.

But the rains come to nourish just in time, and we are born again, ready to celebrate life once more.  And, through it all, angels watch over us from above, just like these white celestial clouds pictured here. And, soon we too will be waltzing like Matilda.

Happy Mother's Day.  The best is yet to be.

Love and peace,
Rae Karen

A Heavenly Forecast: Angel Message

Yesterday evening a powerful storm brought much needed rain, with thunderbolts of lightning and fearful rumbles that shook the house. Elliot was guided to play Amazing Grace on the piano. The uplifting notes of grace brought peace as I closed my eyes, silently praying Psalm 91. In my mind's eye, a beautiful vision appeared in the sky, bringing colors of purple and pink, shifting the atmosphere.  Then I saw a celestial angel above my neighbor's house.  Towering above the roof, she glowed in radiant peace and the sky round about her reflected an aura of light.

A peaceful feeling came over me... a lightening up.  Something had shifted in the upper atmosphere although the storm raged.

Confirmation soon came when I opened up the sun-room blinds to look out at the weather.  What a surprise.  The setting sun was shining through a westward portal, glowing bright through the trees in the rain. A breakthrough!  Funny thing--the view from the other directions told a different story, a blanket of gray clouds.

Let there be Light!  I clapped my hands.  Light! Light! Light!  I was so thankful for the lesson in Light.  No matter how dark or furious a storm may become in our lives, the Light of God is ever shining.  Keep having faith and look toward the Light.  The best is yet to be.

For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.  Psalm 91:11

I was about to sign off on this blog when I happened to look up in time to see the morning sun rising outside my window. A beautiful vision of light, shining through the trees like a golden sparkler on Independence Day. But then to my surprise, clouds suddenly appear, leaving only a smattering of light before the sun disappears from sight. I'm grateful for another angel lesson on Light.  It's good to know the clouds cannot put out the sun, now or ever.  Let there be light!   A breakthrough will appear...expect it.

I reread the blog, ready to publish when...Oh my...now the sun has broken through the clouds shining BRIGHT! glowing in a golden aura.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

No Competition in Love: Angel Message

That old trite saying, Love makes the world go round, isn't a simple platitude but a profound truth.

Some cling to love in fear... as if there won't be enough to go around, feeling that what's given away will become less to have, rather than more.  And if you truly love that special person maybe you shouldn't extend love to others. Your world becomes exclusive.  Then there's that greedy old green-eyed monster with a need to be loved the BEST in the whole wide world.  See me...love me.

Often love seems like an event that takes place in the arena of the heart.  Prizes go out to the most beloved, while others are mere spectators.

The Holy Spirit teaches that Love is not special, love belongs to everyone and each of us is equally blessed with God's Love.  The only real love is that love that extends beyond ourselves and touches the fringes of eternity.  Like the sun, it shines equally on all without judgment.  That's the way Divine Love is.  Christ taught by demonstration to teach only love for that is what we are in Truth.

Have a blessed day and remember that you are Love. Love is infinite, supreme, everlasting-- extending far beyond the limitations of any human perceptions.  Love is all there really is. The question that will be asked when this life on Earth is over won't be how much money you made or how many letters were behind your name, what kind of car you drove, or how many likes you had on social media, but simply how well did you love?

Today is another beginning...a chance to open up our hands and our hearts to share the precious gift of Love.  Love is what the world needs most...freely received we can freely give the gift that keeps on giving. A loving thought, like a white winged dove can truly bless the world.

No sooner had I typed this last paragraph when I looked up from my desk. At the window stood a strange young man in a yellow utility vest. Startled, I grabbed my heart.  He gave me a little sheepish wave, and a smile of regret for the intrusion.  I laughed, realizing he had a job to do...he had come to check the meter on the big white fuel tank at my corner of the house.  What timing! First thing in the morning, and an angelic reminder to check my own love tank and keep it filled as I begin to share love today. Once my nerves settled down, I remembered to silently send the new meter man a loving thought for a wonderful day on the job.

Love and joy to you all,
Rae Karen

Let there be Light! Angel Message

Angels have a sense of humor, and although unseen, their joyful loving presence bubbles up in surprising delightful ways.  At the library on Sunday, at the entrance a bangle sale was in full swing.  A table full of bracelets, earrings, a treasure trove of jewelry on sale to raise money for the free activities offered.  Combing through the collection, I found a little birthday angel with emerald wings that seemed meant for my May birthday.  The only one in the pile... Thoughts of my angel mother brightened my day.

Then, a rare pair of pink heart-shaped glasses were in plain sight.  The angels were at play with synchronicity at hand. A manifestation of Elliot's recent message to see the world through rose colored glasses. No more judging.  He put them on and had fun dialoguing with the library volunteer who played along with his change in perception while making the sale.

Another birthday gift arrived by surprise that afternoon.  A little red book, One Word that Will Change Your Life.  Curious, I sat down to find that word--the key needed to open the door to the heart's desires.  The authors reported everyone's word is different, but works like a laser beam in your life when you practice focusing on it for a year.  A spiritual discipline.  With my birthday coming, the timing was good to begin.  I took it to heart, and prayed over what that word may be...you can't force it...let the word come to you in prayer and meditation. There are questions to ask in the stillness...it's a process.

My answer came suddenly that evening while our family was discussing the One Word while sitting in the sunroom. I noticed a strange reflection of light moving back and forth on the sofa cushion beside me. Where was it coming from?  We looked at the moving patch of light, bouncing up and down on the tweed sofa fabric.  It dawned on me that my reading glasses, folded at my neck were the source of the phenomena.  The lens were reflecting off the table lamp beside me. The bouncing movement was created by my breath. I laughed, watching the glowing orb move to and fro as I inhaled and exhaled. I laughed, "It's like my breath is light."

I knew then that my word was to be LIGHT.  Let there be LIGHT!

The next morning, confirmation came in another delightful but unexpected way. A box was delivered to the front door with my name on it.  A wonderful gift of light sent by an anonymous friend.  LIGHT!  I laughed, reading the tag on the solar garden light orbs.  Soon the orbs were aglow in the flower bed highlighting our brown tortoise statue. A reminder that slow and steady wins the race.

As I write early this morning, sunbeams of morning's first light, shine through the trees like a sparkler.  Let there be light!  A precious gift from the Father of Lights.

Angels are all around us... the more we open up to receive their bountiful blessings, the brighter our lives will become as we lighten up and remember we are Children of the Light.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

The Greatest Thing in the World

My old friend, the Moorhen has returned in time to celebrate the month of Mother's Day bringing a message of love.  Seen from afar, a photo confirmed the visitation.

I fondly recall my first reaction to this unusual bird in 2023. With a beak like a bright orange candy corn kernel, and a squeaky wheezy call, that sounded like a dog's toy, I'd never seen such an odd duck at the lake. And watching her easily stand on floating lily pads without sinking the blooms made me wonder all the more.

A long on-line search for her picture on Florida ducks turned up nothing.  But then I  found a photo on an Australian website.  She wasn't a duck but a Moorhen!  Instead of webbed feet for paddling, her long toes make it easy to walk on soft marshy ground without sinking. Turns out she is known to adapt and overcome obstacles in harsh environments.  A hopeful message.

Her photo caption on the Australian website made me glad I didn't give up so easily.  It was entitled, "The Greatest of These is Love." And, I'd just finished reading The Greatest Thing in the World by Henry Drummond. The webmaster had named the Moorhen, the World Bird in 2012.  The world definitely needs love more than anything else.

The challenge in Drummond's book is to read I Corinthians 13 once a week for the next three months.  One man did so, and it changed his whole life.  Love is the greatest thing in the world. And, to do anything without love, is to do nothing.

It turns out that Moorhens are considered spiritual birds with symbolism that goes beyond the physical world.  Associated with motherhood, they fiercely protects their young.

The Moorhen also brings a message to start fresh and make a new beginning.  A sign of adaptability and change.  And, like the Moorhen, we, too, can adapt to our surroundings and make the best of the situation, when we do it with love.

"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not Love,
I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge;
and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains,
and have not Love, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned,
and have not Love, it profits me nothing.
    Love suffers long, and is kind;
    Love envies not;
Love vaunts not itself, is not puffed up.
Doth not behave itself unseemly,
Seeks not her own,
Is not easily provoked,
Thinks no evil;
Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things,

 endures all things... "

 (I Corinthians Chapter 13)

I think it's time to take up the 3-month challenge again.  I highly recommend The Greatest Thing in the World.   The Moorhen's message on adapting to change was divinely timed.  A few days later, a sudden change in scenery at the lake was a shock to the senses.  A fence had been erected in the parking lot that obstructed the expansive serene view visitors could see from an air-conditioned car.

As I started to fume and lose my peace, I prayerfully asked the Holy Spirit to let me see this differently.  I was reminded of the precious gift of sight.  Be grateful I could see.  And, when I lowered my head, I saw Gray Baby through the gap in the knotty pine slats--peaceful and at rest, with new friends.  Although his look of surprise seemed to match my own as he stared in my direction. But he was no longer alone--satisfied with new company.
Something shifted and I got the soft angel message.  To focus on the Love already present in each moment, and chose again to be at peace.

"Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things,

 endures all things... "

Love and peace,
Rae Karen

Opossum Crossing Up Ahead

Early this morning on our way to the grocery store, the angels delivered a message from nature.  You can tell because it's not your usual everyday encounter.  The messenger grabs your attention, if only fleeting. That's what happened when I spotted a lone animal scurrying across the main road a good distance up ahead.  At first I thought it was a cat, but coming closer I could see an opossum had made it safely to the other side of the busy country road. With opossum making a rare appearance these days, I wondered about the timing and the nature of the angel message.

In Animal-Speak, Opossum demonstrates how to use appearance to your benefit as it is the supreme actor.  We may need to appear fearful or fearless in spite of how we truly feel.  We may need to be apathetic or extremely caring.  Submissive or aggressive.  Sometimes it's necessary to "play dead."  Sometimes it's necessary to put up a particular front to succeed easily and effectively.  A message to fake it until you make it. Opossum can also show you when others are putting up false fronts. If someone is spreading rumors about you--play dead, and don't react or confront the person.  Things will work out more smoothly and justice will prevail.

Some questions to ask when an opossum crosses our path: Are you acting or about to act in an inappropriate manner?  Do you need to strengthen your own appearance?  Do you need to divert attention from some activity?  Are others trying to divert your attention?

Now is the time to go within and pay attention to your inner guidance and be willing to follow it.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen
