But, it wasn't long before my attention came to rest on the Fisher Price playhouse. I'd saved Sunshine Cottage off the street curb to store garden supplies. A landscaping idea popped up--move the cottage back several feet under the shade of the tall orange tree. I ignored the suggestion--too much work for such a short distance, besides my energy was low. But the longer I sat still, the stronger the message: MOVE IT. Move the cottage.

So incessant, I began to realize an intuitive angel thought. So I got moving slow...soon swept up with enthusiasm. Not only emptying out the blue-roofed cottage to move, and raking the new area, but once in place, I got busy putting a border of bricks around the wild lantanas and bromeliads, along with a few stepping stones to the pink solar front door.
Theo, our friendly stray tabby who lived in our yard, kept me company, watching me work. When the job was complete, I found myself moving an old metal antique chair closer to the cottage so I could sit in the shade of the tall orange tree. Nature hummed in the garden. But, I wondered why I was sitting on that hard old lawn chair and not on the comfy chair on the patio by the camphor tree. Theo must have approved of my choice as he had curled up underneath my chair to rest in the shade.
I was glad that I had listened to the guidance... not only had I gained more physical energy from the work-out, but I was thankful for the help of the angel of the garden and the nature angels for creating a peaceful sanctuary.

Peace was suddenly interrupted. A strong gust of wind blasted in from nowhere. It burst through the old camphor tree. A big bushy branch landed on the patio in a chair.
Another sudden gust delivered a heavy thud, something crashed down from old Balboa, the old camphor tree. Dumbstruck, I saw a thick lengthy eight-ft. camphor limb had snapped off the old tree. Strangely, the heavy limb had come to rest--across the arms of my favorite chair! The chair where I'd earlier sat, ignoring the angel guidance to move it was now occupied by a heavy log.
Overwhelmed with gratitude, to be guided by angels, I humbling looked up at the sun's rays filtering through the orange tree where I safely sat, out of harm's way. Thank you, God. I whispered. My steps are ordered by you, whether I realize it or not.
The next morning a gray mist revealed a spot of color on the old camphor tree. Curious, I went outdoors to take a closer look at Balboa. A little red sapling had new red leaves. A reminder that at times we may go through heavy pruning--the old cut away to prepare for the new. But don't despair, new life will manifest when least expected, especially when we listen...and follow angel guidance. The best is yet to be.
