EXTREME TERRAIN: Angel Message

Angel messages appear in many ways...sneaking up and catching our eye.  Yesterday afternoon, I waited in the car for Elliot to run into the Post Office. In the shade of an old oak, a solid heavy duty black jeep parked beside me had a bold angel message. The brand name  "EXTREME TERRAIN" was no lie.  Massive, black rugged tires had treads that could easily swallow up silver dollars. A lean, mean powerful machine! It was equipped to handle the road no matter where it went.

I looked at the exposed heavy-duty coiled shock absorbers. And, then I saw a curious message, professionally painted in white cursive, by the rear door.

 go ask Alice?

I recognized an angel message for the extreme times we're trying our best to navigate.  Although we're traveling uncharted territory, we are not alone. Man's extremity is God's opportunity, I've often heard.

I regret not taking a photo...but honestly it took a while to make the connection between

go ask Alice? and Alice in Wonderland. A red decal of Wonderland was near the front wheel cover.

A loving reminder that Alice's adventure in Wonderland has a happy ending...

Frantically peeking through the keyhole, Alice sees herself safe and sound, already at home, sleeping in the shade of an old tree.   But she must take action before the Queen's army descends upon her.  With all her might, she shouts!  WAKE UP, ALICE!!!

The same holds true for us...we are dreaming of an exile that could never be.  Nothing can ever separate us from the love of God.  We are already safe at home.  The Holy Spirit will take everything we value here and use it as a teaching device to return our awareness home to God.

Like this little squirrel, up a tree at the park, giving us a wink.  A head's up not to get caught up in the illusion.

Remember you are never alone.  You are in the presence of God's angels. They will bear you up lest you dash your foot upon a stone.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen
