Happy Earth Day: An Angel Message

Prayer is often the last resort, and in hindsight, we wonder why?  Why not take it from the top, to the Most High, rather than try to fix a problem at the lowest level. Meeting it in the spiritual realm holds the answer. Then healing will be reflected in the physical.

Nature is always teaching by example.  Several years ago, the water level at our favorite lake was at an all-time low, way below the 7-foot marker.

So low, a private dock looked like a wooden scaffold extended high above a dry pond of  tall reeds.   A grassy barrier was creeping in, creating two small bodies of water.  The lake, home to the sandhill cranes, ducks, herons, turtles, and fish, was shrinking.

Praying and recognizing the angel of the lake brought amazing results.  And it didn't happen overnight, it took many people working together to clean up the waters, dredging, and uprooting encroaching vegetation.  But something amazing happened, nature came and replenished the waters naturally without a single hurricane.

The 7-foot marker is now deeply submerged. The lake overflowing and expansive.  So much so, this tree, that once stood on dry land, now has roots anchored in the deep.

During the winter, I wondered if it could survive, and prayed for resurrection, not really sure there was much hope. With water up to its waist, I didn't expect much, but was hopeful.

I wasn't disappointed.

To my delight, the water-logged tree is budding in springtime.  A testimony to new life, she wears a coat of bright leafy green.  She stood tall in glory on Easter morning at a sunrise service at the lake.  A sandhill family, ducks, and bubbling fish joined in the celebration of Life. And, the sun broke through the clouds, as a soloist sang praises.

Hallelujah!

"And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; nor whatsoever he doesth shall prosper."  Psalm 1

So if you're feeling overwhelmed, and thinking the odds are against you, remember the testimony of this amazing tree.  Nothing is impossible with God.  Look up in faith, pray, and live one day at a time.  Victory is assured in Christ.  All is well.

Happy Earth Day!

Love and peace,

Stand Still: An Angel Message

Yesterday morning, two playful bunnies ran around in circles on the lawn,--chasing one another at rapid speed!  What joy to watch their white cotton tails flying in the wind.  They kept running in circles for quite awhile.  A bushy tailed gray squirrel darted in and out between the two racing rabbits, adding to the frenetic pace.

Finally this bunny stopped.  Facing the sun room, he stood on his haunches as if striking a deliberate pose to Stand still.

Wanting to capture his unusual stillness, I had my doubts if he would still be there when I returned with the camera.  But there he was steadfast, standing tall in the green grass, and many photos were taken through the blinds.

I revisited the rabbit symbolism in a nature book: If Rabbit has shown up and we're unsure what to do--freeze.  Do nothing.  It won't take more than 28 days until we know exactly what to do or where to go.  Rabbits never do anything in a step-by-step way, and even if they have to backtrack and cover old territory, their long, fast hops and jumps swiftly make up for lost ground.

Our rabbit scenario mirrored this reference. Stand still!

Don't keep running around in circles, expending lots of energy, covering the same old ground.  Stand still, and wait on the Lord.

Later in the day, a passage on that topic popped up in a spiritual book.  "Do not be afraid.  Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today."  (Exodus 14:13)

I give thanks for the lessons that the angels teach through nature.  They so perfectly illustrate the inner struggles to be overcome in daily life.  Gifts to help us grow in Spirit with the unseen love and guidance from the heavenly realm.

What messages are the angels speaking in your life today?  Stand still and listen.  All is well.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

Too Good To Be True: An Angel Message

Jesus tells us rather than worry, to stop and look up at the birds of the air.  They neither sow nor reap and yet our heavenly Father takes care of them.  Aren't you more valuable than the birds?

Last month,  I woke up one morning in the grip of something heavy and dark; pressured on all sides.  Thank goodness, I realized how oppositional energy tempts me to start the day off on the wrong foot.  When this happens, immediately I know it's time to turn up the light.  Not believe any fearful thoughts that roll by in clouds of doom and gloom. When I open my eyes, I always begin the day with gratitude for God and the angels. Although my spirit knows the truth, my emotional body at times takes longer to align with inner peace.

So that morning, I got out of bed, feeling somewhat constrained, my bare feet padded out to the sun-room. When I opened the blinds, I spotted a rare sight.

Tom Turkey, in his full regalia, was far off in the distance. Fanning his tail, he pivoted in the sunlight. I smiled at this angel sign to be grateful for all the good in that very moment.  The sunlit morning, the green pasture, and the sight of a big, beautiful, happy wild turkey.  It had been awhile since I'd seen the  turkeys, so this seemed like an angel message.  A reminder not to complain, but give thanks for everything.  Wanting a photo of old Tom to share with you, I asked the angels for help, but the turkey was too far away to capture the moment.  I decided to let it go, and be thankful my mood had shifted.

As I walked to the sofa to join Elliot for meditation, another angel thought came in. All things are possible with God.  And, if God wanted me to have a close-up picture of Tom, he could just appear in the driveway, well within range.

With that thought, I sat down and closed my eyes to meditate.

Mozart was playing on the stereo; a peacefulness filled the sun-room. Hei-Hei, our tabby, was fast asleep in his wicker basket by the glass slider.  After a minute or so, the serenity was suddenly broken by a loud THUD at the slider.

A force hit so  hard, it scared Hei-Hei awake. His nails clicked lickety-split on the wood floor as he ran for safety in the dining room.

Curious, I got up to take a look.

LOL! Goose bumps rippled my arms.  Healing tears filled my eyes.

Old Tom Turkey stood at the windowpane, so close, we were eye-to-eye. His tail feathers fanned, his beautiful blue painted face and bright red wattle were a glorious sight to behold.  In that incredible moment, the angels' love seemed palpable. He wanted to come inside!  I forgot all about the camera at first, and just showered him with love and gratitude for his message:

All things are possible with God.  Have faith.  Don't worry.  You will always see clearly what you need to see.  What's yours will come to you, so expect good things! And, don't be a doubting "Thomas"...trust that God knows your every need and will always deliver on time.

So dear friends, be at peace today and remember you are in the company of angels.  God is Love.  Look for the good in every moment. God loves you.

The Best is Yet to Come: An Angel Message

Sometimes angels will direct our eyes to glimpse a certain object at just the right time.  It happened early this morning.  I was sitting in the sun-room and was guided to look across the way.  To my surprise, a golden reflection of Archangel Uriel illumined the wall.  Yesterday I'd rearranged the hallway furniture without much thought, moving this here, and that there.  The table lamp in the living room had created an encouraging angelic silhouette.   THE BEST IS YET TO COME, a free-standing wood block sign on the kitchen countertop, made a perfect caption. I smiled, thinking it could be the song Uriel is strumming on his guitar.  It's time to sing a new song.  Spring is here, filled with resurrection energy. THE BEST IS YET TO COME.

So whatever you may be going through just now, know that there is more to come.  God's angel messages are always available. Keep on having faith.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

2022 Happy Spring Solstice

Shortly after beginning my spiritual journey, whenever an iris appeared, I took it as a symbol that I was moving in the right direction.  Irises were like God's bread crumbs on my path.  Even though things were unsettling, somehow the events would work out for the highest good of all. And as time passed, I began to see this was true if I didn't lose my faith and give up. Many years later, I discovered this cosmic iris poster at a thrift shop in Virginia Beach.

A perfect reflection, the celestial iris captured a rainbow of emotions in one inspiring glance.  The soft hues of a blue bearded iris had blossomed far beyond the earth, as she reaches to greet the full moon, the divine feminine. Iris is also known as the Goddess of the Rainbow, and centuries ago was the word for rainbow.

Today we welcome Archangel Raphael, the governor of the season.  Raphael means  'Divine Healer' or 'God Heals'. This powerful Archangel is responsible for healing the earth and its people. He can help us seek the gift of healing and show us ways to heal ourselves in nature and through universal divine energy.

The winter season, under the leadership of Archangel Gabriel, brought feminine energy to the earth through the water element.  Now the fire element, the masculine energy is most active.  The keynote is resurrection, witnessed in nature, as dormant life reaches from darkness upward into the healing light of new beginnings.

Raphael means God has Healed. He is the Angel of brightness, beauty, healing and life. The sun, or the returning sun, sometimes symbolize him. He instructs the art of healing, especially through the elements of nature, and thus the caduceus is often his symbol. In the healing, he helps us to link our heart and our mind. The Book of Tobias in the Old Testament tells how Raphael healed Tobias' father of blindness with an ointment made from a large fish.

Spend time in nature.  Call on Archangel Raphael to bring radiant healing and dissolve any blockages holding you back from a wonderful new beginning. Then, watch what you say and think. Speak only positive life-affirming words over your life. Get ready to bloom!

Happy Spring Solstice!

Angel Biker: An Angel Message

Many years ago, I found a lost angel biker pin in the parking lot in St. Augustine.  It was by the car as I got out. Finding an angel is always a wonderful surprise; a reminder that we are never alone, our guardian angel is with us.  I tucked the little gold angel pin away in the Honda coin box, hoping to pass it along to a biker one day, and soon forgot all about it.

Last week, waiting at the gas station in town, a half dozen bikers were fueling up.  An angel thought nudged, why not pass along the biker pin?  I wasn't even sure I still had it.  But the message was so insistent, I dug into the coin box.  There it was...buried under some loose change.

Before I could lose my nerve, I jumped out of the car and approached a guy on a Harley.  "Would you like to have this biker angel? I found it years ago and was guided to offer it to you?"

"Thanks!" His face lit up, as he held it in his hand.

"Hey! A Biker Angel!" He proudly showed it to his riding buddies.

The atmosphere at the filling station suddenly shifted from the worrisome drain of high gas prices, to a peaceful touch of heaven as I watched the bikers zoom off, wishing them all a Happy Bike Week.  The "Biker Angel" looked back and nodded, before pealing down the road with his angel in his pocket.

Life is smoother when we remember the angels are traveling the road with us.  Inviting these loving celestial visitors into our daily life makes a world of difference.

Love and peace,

True Blue: An Angel Message

With such divisiveness in our world, it takes courage to be true to the real you during this time of spiritual revolution. Angels can help us to stay awake and not fall asleep during the quest to experience God.  New attitudes are needed so God can remake us as we yield to Spirit. As we practice the presence of God thought by thought, hour by hour, day by day, Spirit is forming us anew, and we let go of how the world defines us.

I love peacocks.  So when this creative plaque popped up on my path last week, it was just what I needed to remember.  Peacocks are all about watchfulness, royalty and resurrection energy.   We are spiritual beings having a physical existence.

Have only one rule:

Be your wild, courageous,

brilliant self

every SINGLE day.

No matter what.

       --Leigh

In his book, How You Can Talk with God, Paramahansa Yogananda writes:

Our physical form is made of molecules, molecules are made of atoms,

atoms are made of electrons, and electrons are made of life force or

"lifetrons"--countless billions of specks of energy. With your spiritual eye,

you can see the body as a mass of scintillating specks of light--the energy

that is emanating from your 27 thousand billion cells.

Yogananda goes on to say: "only through delusion do you see the body as

solid flesh. In reality, it is not matter but energy."

The good news is celestial help is available 24/7--God's pure angel thoughts passing to our consciousness. With a little willingness on our part, we can abide on high-beam and shine our light to bless the world.

 Love and peace,

Letting Go, A Hermit Crab Reflection: An Angel Message

Angel messages are light-filled and easily recognized by the love they create in our hearts. And, often they pop up when least expected, but are always appreciated.

You never know what the universe will unfold at the local farmers' market on Saturdays.  That's what makes it fun.  Some random off-beat items may symbolize my inner landscape.  An angel message, of sorts, plays out in synchronicity.  Something amusing recently happened. While digging through a vendor's wares, this elegant hermit crab paperweight turned up.  I chuckled at my reflection on  its spiral, silvery shell.  A mirror for what I'd been feeling lately,--too big for my shell.

A hermit crab is an animal best known for its habit of occupying the empty shell of a snail.  The crab uses the shell to protect its soft abdomen, which it twists into the shell.  As hermit crabs grow they exchange their tight shells for larger ones.  Years ago, that's what happened to my young son's hermit crab. When Hermie was too big for his shell, a couple of larger shells were placed nearby for his shopping convenience. The choice was up to him.

Hermit crabs move to a new residence in the dark.  Courage and vulnerability are needed to step out of the protection of an old shell, and scurry into a better fit.

I never forgot the hermit crab's lesson on letting go.  You can't force a hermit crab out of its shell, it won't let go, and would rather split in two.  Nature had to take its course.

One morning, to my delight, the shift had happened without any help from me.  I was amazed to see Hermie happily dressed in a beautiful new sea shell.

Change is hard, but sometimes necessary for growth.   The good news is the angels are here to guide, comfort, and protect as we leave our old shells behind and reach out for the new.

                                                                      LETTING GO

To LET GO does not mean to stop caring,

it means  I can’t do it for someone else.

To LET GO is not to cut myself off, it's the realization

      I can't control another.

To LET GO is not to enable,

but to allow learning  from natural consequences.

To LET GO is to admit powerlessness,

which means  the outcome is not in my hands.

To LET GO is not to try to change or blame another,

it's to make the most of myself.

To LET GO is not to care for, but to care about.

To LET GO is not to judge,

but to allow another  to be a human being.

To LET GO is not to be in the middle arranging all the

      outcomes,

but to allow others to affect their own destinies.

To LET GO is not to be protective,

it's to permit another to face reality.

To LET GO is not to deny, but to accept.

To LET GO is not to nag, scold or argue,

but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them.

To LET GO is not to adjust everything to my desires,

but

to take each day as it comes and cherish myself in it.

To LET GO is not to regret the past,

 but to grow and live.

To LET GO is to fear less

and LOVE more.

The Ladybug Ringer: An Angel Message

A quick stop at a convenience store brought a much needed smile when I spotted a bright red ladybug wind chime.  Ladybugs are my sign that my heavenly mother is near.  Feeling lighter, I tucked it in my basket.

Without much thought it found a home in my office on a rack. A reminder to look for the bright spots in life.  A few days later, while at my desk, a bell rang. Laughing, I turned to see Hei-Hei, our playful tabby, had learned a new trick!  Ringing the bell, like a prize fighter.  I cheered him on, remembering the good news:  "Every time a bell rings an angel is getting their wings."  Flocks of angels were taking flight.

When the pic was uploaded, it had another heavenly touch.

A tiny orb sealed the ladybug's smile with a kiss.  :-D

I love it.  Mama Mary Luckie is smiling down from heaven, spreading joy, as always.  Our love ones are forever near and there is nothing to fear. Love can never die.  It is eternal, infinite, supreme.

The floral plaque on the office wall is another angelic reminder. During these dark times, Psalm 91 brings comfort and protection for all who abide in the Shadow of the Almighty.  "He will cover you with His feathers and under his wings you will find refuge." (Psalm 91:4)

We are all here on planet Earth for such a time as this.  To be the light in the darkness.  Our prayers and spiritual awareness (faith) make a world of difference.  Thank you for shining your light. The best is yet to come.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

The Pistachio Nut: An Angel Message

Recently, an older Angel for You blog came to light; a reminder on how ordinary things can bring humor under the influence of angels. Here's the 2015 recap:

"Okay, maybe I'm going a little nuts...but...I had been eating pistachios, one-by-one.  The broken shells were in a little pile on the sofa beside me.  Not a big fan of Elliot's special stash, that afternoon I got hooked on the flavor. Soon, I'd chomped down on the last one in the bowl. A stubborn nut too hard to crack.

I could relate...

I flipped it over and cracked up.

This pistachio had character.  A face!  Etched by nature! Quickly I checked the nut bag for other faces, but it was one of a kind.

My angel for the day had been JOY.  "There's your next blog," Elliot said, as we shared a good laugh.   Mr. Pistachio took up residence in my keepsake box.

Curious, I looked up the symbolism of this deliberate messenger:  In Ancient Persia, lovers met under the pistachio tree and listened to the crackling of nuts in the moonlight; a sign they'd be happy.  Also, hearts are a universal symbol of love, and pistachios keep ours healthy, along with a good dose of laughter every day.

Ha! That's what this odd little nut had done!

Later, I read,  Are you known by your joy?  This is a question to ask ourselves often. Just like our car is checked for oil so it can run smoothly, we need to check our oil of gladness by looking for a smile in the mirror throughout the day.

"A cheerful heart is good medicine."
                                         --(Proverbs 17)

Remember you are never alone.  Your angels are always with you to comfort, guide, and bless.  The best is yet to come.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

Reflection of a Trumpet Swan: An Angel Message

I love this image of the trumpet swan gliding in sync with its beautiful reflection.  I'd been reading the greatest lesson one can ever learn is to be at peace,--no matter what.  When the waters are calm, we can see our true reflection. But when stirred by negative emotions, we splash about lacking clarity, and easily get off course.

Today we can know that whatever may come up, we will not lose our peace. We can choose to go within and be still.  To call on the angels for help in maintaining balance.  Peace is not dependent on outer circumstances, but it comes from a deep stillness within.

The stillness of the peace of God is mine.
                             --A Course in Miracles

Later, I looked up the spiritual message of swan:

"Swan brings a message to rise up to the highest levels of your world of senses, open your bright eyes, and have courage for the highest spiritual experiences."

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

Keep Looking Up: An Angel Message

It had been a long time since I selected an angel card from the swan bowl. VISION was the card of choice. The pic of a little angel taking a vision test made me smile.  The eye chart letters spelled: SOUL/ SIGHT/ FUTURE.

In the afternoon, a ride to the rehab center magnified the symbolism. Peacock is a powerful bird of resurrection and wise vision (watchfulness).  Two outstanding features are its beautiful feathers and raucous calls.  The call has a kind of laughter as if a reminder to laugh at life.  Peacocks have ugly feet, and there is a story that the peacock screeches whenever it catches sight of them.  Feet represent dominion and discipleship, the foundation of our structure.  What are the feet of a peacock saying about your life? Wherever you plant your feet is holy ground.

It had started to mist when Elliot and I arrived, circling the rehab parking lot, in hopes of seeing one of my favorite birds.  As you can see, this stately fellow at rest on the lawn was in no mood for a visit.

Around the bend, I was in luck, another lone peacock strutted along, dragging his train of royal  plumage.  I got out of the car for a picture, but he scurried down the path to get out of the drizzle.

It may sound strange but as I stood in the rain, a sense of peacefulness washed over me, at just being able to see these magnificent fairy-tale-like birds that remind me to look for the beauty in life.

A sudden stirring on the roof-top made me look up.

A pair of peacocks were watching me. There was the photo op!  It had been there all along.

What joy to watch one shimmy and shake in the light rain, pivoting in full regalia on the roof. Soon he folded his plumage, lifted his crowned head, and let out a soulful heartfelt call.  In the stillness, a lone peahen answered the call from the woods. Love was in the air.

And, to top it off, as I turned around, the draggy-tailed peacock suddenly flew up a tree and looked down at me.

Another angel message to keep looking up and see all the good that is already present in every moment.

Expect the happy things of God to come your way today.  Look up and have a heart-filled Valentine's Day with your angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen
