Angel of Creativity

(Photo by John Sullivan at http://www.pdphoto.org/)

For He shall give His angels charge over you, to guide you in all of your ways.                                                  -- Psalm 91

It's amazing what can be created when inspired to share.  Ordinary sand, the foundation of a beach, can become a work of art; a tribute to our guardian angel who always lovingly watches over us..

Enjoy your day with the Angels and stay open for divine inspiration and appreciation.  Your creativity is meant to be shared.  A gift for others.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

An Angel Sign: Get Your Wings On!

This angelic sign at a local restaurant served as a great reminder to get my wings on. Look at an issue from a higher perspective. When something is in our face, it's easy to forget that the answer is always a call for love. Hurting people hurt people.  By not getting caught up in the drama, we can hear the angel messages and stay above the storms bringing more peace to a trying time.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

An Angel Message: More on Mother Mary's Iris and the Full June Moon

Long before dawn this morning, I woke up and went out to the living room.  To my surprise the full moon had created an inviting path of light on the carpet. Grabbing a large pillow, I stretched out bathing in her healing energies. Gazing up at the high window by the fireplace, it was as if I had been tapped on my sleepy shoulder.  See, the reflection of the full moon on the stained glass irises?

I sheepishly remembered yesterday's blog naming the Iris Mother Mary's flower for June to represent Celestial Reflections. The poster I'd shared then of the cosmic iris and the full moon had now been  translated into a "living" portrait in the living room window!  June is proving itself to be the month of Celestial Reflections, but we must wake up and pay attention.

Angels are always speaking to us and their tender touch transforms our world into a place of joyous wonder.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Angels Everywhere: Psalm 91

Yesterday morning I found myself interrupting the task at hand and grabbing a book off the shelf, one from an eight volume set by Joel S. Goldsmith, author of The Infinite Way. The books were a  gift from a dear friend several months ago.  I'd been feeling deflated, but you can imagine my surprise to open  the book God Formed Us For His Glory and land on a passage titled, Angels!  That synchronicity shook me awake...more is happening than I know. Angels are always guiding us in the subtlest ways, although unseen they are not unnoticed.  The paragraph began with that comforting scripture, Psalm 91, "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."

"in ALL thy ways"...the more receptive we are to acknowledging this help, the easier it becomes to pass through our trials with more peace, love and joy and to avoid those obstacles that try to block progress.  Thank you! Angels.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

As it is in Heaven

(Wikimedia Commons:  Andrea Mantegne)

I try to remember to ask the angels for guidance as far as what movies to watch or books to read. It paid off on Sunday at the public library when I found an engaging funny and romantic spiritual movie.  As it is in Heaven is the story of Daniel, a successful international conductor who returns to his childhood village in Sweden after suffering a heart attack.  Soon thereafter, the local church choir seeks him out for help.  As the amateur choir develops, he finds love and true friendship in his old home town.

Regarding the movie, there was a bit of synchronicity.  The Miracles Distribution Center's Holy Encounter Newsletter arrived yesterday.  It had a recommendation to watch this 2005 film by Kay Pollak, who is a student of A Course in Miracles.

Themes from the Course are evident in the movie.  As it is in Heaven became one of the most popular movies of all time in Sweden.  It is available on Netflix streaming as well as the public library.

It was one of the best movies I've seen.  A wonderful expose on the importance of finding our own voice and living life freely.  It also included a comforting message about angels.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Angel of Exuberance and More Feathers!

More angel messages appeared yesterday.

On our way home, a spontaneous angel message came to stop by a rehab center to visit a dear friend.  The facility, located in nature, held a surprise.

Glistening on green grass, its wispy bronze and green iridescent "tufts" glowed in the early evening sunshine.  I found a beautiful peacock feather!

When I first saw it, I couldn't believe my eyes.

In that moment, the veil seemed thin, and I felt as if I were dreaming.  The odds of finding a wild peacock feather were amazing.  With all the peacock synchronicity over the past several weeks, it was no doubt an angel message.  And, this feather was especially long and fresh.

The idea of a wild peacock dropping a feather on our path was right up there with finding a unicorn. Something magical and adventuresome was in the air.  The world became more expansive, the possibilities more limitless. There was a feeling of exuberance.

What I learned, too, was to trust more in those little intuitive suggestions from the angelic realm.  When we do, we are truly in the flow.  The peacock represents resurrection and wise vision (watchfulness).  Its call has a screeching laughter like quality,  a reminder to laugh at life.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Karen

Circle of Life - An Angel Message from a Spider

(June 23, 2013 early A.M. Spider Web.)

I hurried to the window early this morning, hoping to see the Super Moon.  Although it was not visible, another perfect circle stood out in the sunlight, a spider's web, in our neighbor's backyard. Several weeks ago, I was saddened when he cut down many trees, and left them in a heap.

Since then, I've been so thankful that the towering, older hardwood trees are still standing.  I find myself silently thanking them, appreciating their presence and not taking them for granted.  So,  in the midst of such disarray, the perfect circular web seemed like an angel message.

I wasn't sure what it meant at first.

Then an idea came to me.

The Circle of Life.

And, how we are all joined together by one single thread, woven in a finite form representing infinity. With its shimmering in the morning light, I could see more clearly:  All life is related and each part should be accepted equally.

In Animal-Speak, author Ted Andews describes the spider as the guardian of the ancient languages and alphabets.  "Spider reminds us that the world is woven around us.  We are the keepers and the writers of our own destiny, weaving it like a web by our thoughts, feelings, and actions."

This circular web reminded me of a Hebrew letter shaped like a circle, Samech.   The symbolism is a circle, a wedding ring, or a prop.  The keynote, protection.

A circle is infinity in a finite form, and all the points are equidistant from the center.  This symbolizes equilibrium in motion, a balance in this world while connected with the Divine.  Samech indicates a  need to open up more fully to the celestial realm and trust its protection.

In yesterday's blog, I wrote about how summer marks the best season to connect with Nature and the angels.  I've been calling on Archangel Uriel for assistance.  How wonderful to see that portal opening up today in unexpected and creative ways.

The next time I returned to the window, the sun had shifted, and the splendid web was no longer visible.  A reminder that angel messages are always there, but illumination is necessary to bring them forth.  There is a divine timing.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Karen

Angels Are Near

Yesterday morning while sitting in the tub I was meditating about a certain issue.  When I opened my eyes, I noticed this little angel on the soap dish.  Her pose reflected my quandary, she  seemed to be pondering a question, too.  Or tuning into mine.  I had to laugh because like most things I often look but do not see.  I never really paid any attention to her before.

She was a reminder that so often purification is necessary before we can experience a new shift in perception.  These days are filled with opportunities to cleanse our thoughts and see more clearly, to wash our cares away.

When I got out of the tub, I saw a small clipping from a magazine Elliot had cut out. "You Can Talk to Your Angels. Angels Are Near " He'd propped it up against a beautiful pink conch seashell on the bathroom shelf. Angels are around us always, but are we paying attention? I need to stay more vigilant that's for sure.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Karen

The White Ibis: Angel Message from the Birds

(Photo from Wikimedia Commons)

"In our innermost soul we are winged beings,
and we should soar and glide each day of our lives."
                                       Claire Nahmad
Angel Messages, The Oracle of the Birds

A wonderful way to experience the angelic streams of life is to listen with an open heart to the song of the birds.  To draw close to them in spirit is to become aware of the hidden beauties and mysteries that are sacred and secret within the human soul.

Monday evening while Elliot and I were out for a drive, hoping to find answers to what's next in life, I saw a flock of birds flying toward us in a V-formation.  At first, I thought they were geese, one of my favorites, but as they came closer I was surprised to see they were snowy white ibis.  I thanked them for their gift as they flew over our car.
The timing was perfect. Their upward flight had lifted my spirit above the mundane, releasing a need to be in control and to just let things unfold naturally.

In his book, Animal-Speak, Ted Andrews explains that the V-formation is very symbolic.  It reflects by shape an opening to new possibilities.  It's like a arrowhead, pointing to a new direction, and with one end open, it also reflects an openness to new ideas. The letter "V"  in Hebrew "vav" means nail.  This formation indicates we are about to affix ourselves to a new path.  It is a letter that reflects great fertility.   Vav is also a creative connecting energy between heaven and earth.

Another flock of ibis crossed my path yesterday.  This time they were grazing in the grass.  Aware of the importance of synchronicity, in Angel Messages by Claire Nahmad I learned that  the ibis represents the initial letter of the Egyptian alphabet.  It is the sigil of the origin of language and all that civilizes humankind.  The Egyptians believed the white plumage of the ibis symbolized the light of the Sun.  "If an ibis draws close to you, it is a spiritual call sounding your name.  You have been chosen to enter into a new and elevated spiritual understanding.  The cry of this 'Bird of Thoth' is a call to your heart:  "I offer enlightenment."

I was so thankful for this wonderful message that applies to each of us.  Moreover, on Wikipedia, I discovered the ibis is an author of sorts, writing upon surfaces, leaving its footprints as 3 + 1, which is the image enshrined in the Scandinavian world tree Yggdrasil and the Hebrew tree of the Sephiroth.

By surrendering and trusting, we, too,  will rise in consciousness as we go through our trials.  We will then leave golden footprints for others to follow by waking up to the divine within us.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Karen

What Are You Putting Out There? Love or Fear?

I'd never seen anyone toss a Frisbee high into the wind, watch it soar above the waves, and return to him automatically.  Amazed, I watched his maneuver repeatedly as if he were playing catch with an invisible Angel standing in the sea.  Some of his returns had pizazz, skillfully caught under the leg.   Elliot explained it was gravity and the dynamics of the wind.

I thought of something else, a universal law:  What you send out comes back to you.

I captured this feat on video, but the format wasn't compatible with Google. Although the action is missing, the message has stayed with me.

It's no secret that like attracts like.  What we send out, returns to us.

This week I've been reading in A Course in Miracles about the Holy Spirit

He has given you love's messengers to send instead of those you trained through fear.  They are eager to return to you what they hold dear as are the others.  If you send them forth, they will see only the blameless and the beautiful, the gentle and the kind.  They will be careful to let no little act of charity, no tiny expression of forgiveness, no little breath of love escape their notice.  And they will return with all the happy things they found, to share them lovingly with you.  Be not afraid of them.  They offer you salvation.  Theirs are the messages of safety for they see the world as kind.

...The Holy Spirit has given you His messengers to send to your brother and return to you with what loves sees.  They have been given to replace the hungry dogs of fear you sent instead.  And they go forth to signify the end of fear. (Text 411)

I took the message to heart and became more vigilant for the subtle ways my ego slips into judgment.  Why did they do that?  Shouldn't they have done this. Why me?  What's up with this?

Instead I began to focus on sending out love to all life everywhere I went.  I tried to remember "Love is attracted to love." If I had a less than positive thought, I'd instantly replace it with a loving one.  I kept reminding myself that God loves me and everyone.  Show me how much you love me today, I asked.

The results were amazing.  People were friendlier and more loving.  A server came over to greet us at a cafe, giving me a big hug.   But I really knew something special was up when my wild cat, Cleo, the one that adopted us, jumped into my lap for the first time.

It startled me at first.  I'd been sitting on the patio enjoying nature.  The warm breeze, the scent of flowers, appreciating the moment.  Maybe she's going to curl up in my lap, but instead she brushed her cheek hard against mine, a deliberate head rub, then gave me a wet kiss and jumped down.

Wow...

I know those messengers of love are the Angels.  It's so wonderful when we actively choose love in every situation.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Karen

Grow in Grace

When a dear friend sent me this artwork from the web a few days ago, I was moved by the tender sacredness of life and the responsibility we each hold in our hands.   God's grace is sufficient for all things.

Mine was put to the test early this morning while working in the garden.  I was holding a potted pink azalea from Easter, getting ready to plant it in the meditation garden out back.  Suddenly, I heard barking and whirled around.  Two pit bulls were facing me.  Never having seen them before, I had a moment of fear as they glared at me, barking.  Then some part of me took charge and I found myself speaking softly in a cheerful voice, saying I love you.  What are you doing here?  I love you.....

I kept this up as they stood a few feet away, looking at me a little confused. The next thing I knew they'd gone off after a cat (who artfully dodged underneath the house at a rapid speed.)   The dogs disappeared as quickly as they came, but I was so grateful for the angels' strength to surrender in grace.  Love does conquer all and I'd learned another important lesson about fear.  It only has the power I give it.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings,

Author! Author!

Today is my sweet  husband's birthday.  Elliot Chiprut has just published a wonderful book, Practical Wisdom from Kabbalah and Edgar Cayce.  One of my favorite excerpts is  about an angel.

Angel On The Bus

Many years ago, I was working in a photographer’s studio. One day, while my car was in the repair shop, I needed to take the bus to work. The weather forecast for that day called for rain, so I took my umbrella. While waiting for the bus, I sat down on a nearby bench. At the far side of the bench sat an elderly man dressed in old, wrinkled, dirty clothes. He needed a shave and a bath. I sat on the bench and ignored him. Soon it started raining and I opened my umbrella. The elderly man on the other end was getting wet.   I heard an inner voice say, “Go sit next to him and share your umbrella.”

Reluctant at first, I then moved next to him to help keep him dry. To my surprise, we had a nice chat and he thanked me as the bus came. When we boarded the bus, he went toward the back and I sat near the front. There weren’t many people on the bus. When I turned around to look at him, to my amazement, he was gone! There had been no stops along the way. I wondered then if he had been an angel?  Cayce had this to say about angels, “Oft does man entertain angels unawares.” (3011-3)

A Day Devoted to Love

This beautiful quote by Rumi says it all:

"Love said to me, there is nothing that is not me.  Be silent."

It's wonderful to know that Divine Love is always present, never absent in any condition.  That's quite a commitment that we often take for granted.  Angels, God's messengers of Love, enfold us 24/7.  Imagine how our lives would be more blessed if we could make a commitment to acknowledge them often throughout the day.  Love is all around us, but we must remove all the barriers of fear we've created to not let Love in.   Today is a perfect time to begin to pause and take a breath, then let the Love in.  And let your universal Love flow out making the world a better place.

Thank you, Angels for all your Love that encompasses every aspect of our Life.

Love and Blessings,

Karen

Leapin' Lizards - Love Overcomes Fear

(Lizard in the Garden last Spring)

It's hard to know exactly when my fear of lizards vanished.  I'd become familiar with the little blue and yellow striped ones while living on the farm at Virginia Beach.  Often they could be seen basking on a rock in the flower bed, enjoying the warmth of the sun.  I began to see them as cute and amusing...although the last thing I wanted to do was to touch one.

It turns out those three years were good training for a future move south I knew nothing about.    Now living in Florida, lizards are a natural part of the landscape. Often posing on top of the garden statues or scaling the exterior walls of the house or the patio fence. I found myself becoming rather fond of them at a distance.

The balance in nature shifted when a couple of cats adopted us.   Apparently they had been living in the crawl space underneath the house.  When we began to feed them I thought the lizards would be safe.  Yesterday afternoon I was sitting outside with a friend, when Mr. Paws caught a small one in his mouth and began to toy with it. The lizard froze, playing dead and the cat waited, wanting to play.  I silently asked the Angels for help.  This is supposed to be a peaceful place.  All God's creatures can move in harmony. I affirmed.

I knew it was important not to interfere with nature, but still...

When I looked again the lizard was missing!  No one saw him move. Sniffing the ground the cat couldn't figure it out and neither could we.  Then I happened to look down at my pant leg.

The lizard clung to my jeans, looking up at me.  I could almost hear his loud cry for HELP!  His tail was missing, but he was alive; and it would grow back.  Now, there was hope. It was a bold move on his part.

My reaction surprised even me.  Why wasn't I jumping up out of my chair, screaming and brushing him off. But I knew in that moment that I was the answer to my prayer.  Seeing his panic, I reassured him to hang on.

And he did.

He clung to my stiff leg as I carefully walked through the mulch to the far side of the woods.
Somewhere along the way, he let go. The cat now far away still sniffing the patio.

I must admit when it was all over, I began to cry. I wasn't exactly sure why.  Maybe it was because my love for that lizard exceeded my fear of him and in that moment I was transformed.

Angels often teach us lessons in nature and I was so happy to be used as an angel to the rescue.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings,

Karen

P.S. In Animal-Speak by Ted Andrews, lizard teaches to listen to your own intuition before you get swallowed up in what is not beneficial for you.   You will see things that others may miss.  You will hear things that are not being said. The lizard also teaches detachment. (Their tails come off in order to survive.) Sometimes we must separate ourselves or part of ourselves to be able to do the things we must desire to do. Lizard is also associated with dreamtime.
