What's Yours Will Come to You: Angel Message

Yesterday while sitting on the porch looking out at the newly potted flowers on the patio, a beautiful turquoise dragonfly flitted by.  To my delight, she landed on the apex of an old  hanging basket tripod. Like a finial topper on a tree, she glowed in the morning sunlight.

Turquoise dragonflies, although rarely seen, remind me of my angel friend Joanna on the other side. Hello, Joanna! I playfully greeted her. She had loved dragonflies and they were always a message from her late husband, encouraging her to trust in the light.

Seeing the lovely image of the dragonfly striking such a deliberate pose, gave me an idea to grab my camera. The turquoise winged dragonfly on the throw pillow on the turquoise porch chair across from me was a sign to go for it.

When I hurried out, asking the angels for help, what a disappointment.  My dragonfly caller was no longer in sight.  An angel nudge suggested...take a seat...wait in the sunshine...what's yours to share will come to you.  With that uplifting thought in mind, I sat down on a turquoise Adirondack chair enjoying the warm sun on my face.  Yes, I'm going through a turquoise phase--soaking up that soothing color.

I didn't have to wait long.   The turquoise-jeweled head of that lovely winged messenger flew by me, circling round, and, once again, landed atop the rusted old garden hanger, giving it new life. A perfect photo op.  If only I could steady the bouncing lens to focus in with clarity in the bright sunlight. I've learned over the years, the wisdom of asking the angels for help. I snapped away hoping for the best.

When the photos were uploaded, what joy.  Not only were the iridescent wings folded forward as if in prayer, but I could see the reflection of many colors on those amazing transparent wings.

Dragonflies are ancient symbols of new joy and light.  When one appears, it's time to trust in the power of Light. Their large compound eyes can have as many as 30,000 tiny lenses that detect the subtlest of movements and shifting of light.   A reminder that as light shifts so do our perceptions, and they are very accurate and sharp right now.

Dragonflies also remind us that we are light, and we can shine in very powerful ways if we choose to do so.  Now is the time to express our own inner light.  Life is never as it appears...  Dragonfly is a messenger to help us see through the illusions so we can shine fully in our creative endeavors.

Light! Light! Light!  My "one word" for this year is working overtime.  Thoughts are things and what we focus on we bring into our experience.  Keep on shining bright, expecting the best...and giving thanks for the loving, tireless angels that guide, comfort and protect us.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen
