Yesterday's rain didn't stop weather-proofed rascally squirrels from having a party. I counted a cluster of four young squirrels and four mourning doves gleaning the lawn in search of cracked corn leftovers. They were all in harmony co-existing together.
One little bushy-tail stood out from the crowd. He had an animated, quick routine. He'd grab a golden corn kernel. Then make a run for the cherub's head to munch. A kernel at a time--he kept it up so many times, I finally got the angel message. Get a photo to share.
I hurried to the living room and stood on the green sofa looking out the high window to get a clearer view above the window screen. Trying to stay in balance, I was ready if he made another landing on top of the cherub tortoise. I sent up a little prayer for help, hoping for the best on a rainy gray afternoon. My camera was focused on the angel's head ready for action. Presto. There he was in an instant. Nibbling on his prize, with his bushy tail curled like an umbrella.

Squirrels represent balance. A balance in our giving and in our receiving. A balance in work and play. And, like this wise, playful little fellow we can take a hint from the tortoise cherub by remembering slow and steady wins the race. With the help of the angels, we will cross the finish line in victory. Help is ever present. 
Remember you are never alone. God loves you. He has given his angels charge over you. Expect wonderful things to happen today. We have so much to be grateful for.
