The Little Pencil in the Hand of God

The greatest fulfillment is in doing God's will.
We do not have to do great things,
only small things with great love.
We do not have to be extraordinary in any way.
I can do what you can't do and you can do what I can't do.
Together we can do something beautiful for God.
We can be the little pencil in the hand of God.
                  -- Mother Teresa of Calcutta

When I first read Mother Teresea's comforting words, it was just the message needed most in a moment of anxiety.  I had left behind everything familiar--home, career, friends, family, my cat, and moved to a new state to work on an angel documentary.  Doubts were creeping in as to the wisdom of making such a drastic move.  That's when I looked up at the snack bar while taking a break at my new position and found the small sheet of paper on a bulletin board.

"Small things with great love"... calmed my anxiety.  I was embracing a new life that involved a learning curve-- navigating around an unfamiliar pulsing city, and tackling a different software application, in a new field of film production. I relaxed in the moment, slowing down and accepting that love is the essential ingredient to success. "Small things with great love..."

And, as it turned out, the little things done with divine love became stepping stones to unfolding God's creativity as we all harmoniously worked together on the angel production.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.  And please remember that help is all around you, seen and unseen.  Just allow your heart to remain open and do what you can to the best of your ability with LOVE...and, the outcome will be truly beautiful.

Joyful blessings,

Rae Karen
