Making the Call

"There are uncountable Legions of Angels whose Love would make you weep with Joy were you to see Their approach to your Call."     Archangel Michael

Archangel Michael wields certain Authority in the awakening of humankind and to encourage us to accept the Angelic Host as our Friends.  He is drawing forth from within us the latent memory of the Reality of the Angelic Host and all the blessings we received in the past through Their Divine Love.

These Divine Angelic Beings hold out Their Hands to us for assistance, who have poured Love down to us.  We should not let a day go by that we don't give love and gratitude and recognition to all the Angelic Host who have ministered here through the ages.  The conscious understanding of what the Angels do to assist mankind must come to the intellect of human beings who are intelligent enough to understand their Presence. The Angels reside in a state of higher consciousness within our mind.

The more you can focus your attention upon Them, the more you would draw Their Perfection into this physical realm.  This greater awareness of the Angelic Host is essential at this time if you are to receive greater Help.  Call to the power of the Angels of the Sacred Fire of Divine Love.  The more you make the call, the more Love can flood the world to help spread their Love over conditions that have been in turmoil.

The closer you feel to the Angels, the more their Love can hold victory for you.  The reason we do not experience the radiation of the Angels is simply due to a lack of attention.  How much time out of each day does the average person think about the Angels?

We give our employers eight hours of our time, energy, and mind to perform the services for which we are hired.  And when our attention is on the outer world, we forget that the Divine Helpers exist.  So during those hours you are not living in Their World, they do not exist for you during the time that you forget Them.  And yet, They are always forever radiating Their Love into the atmosphere of Earth.

Unless our attention is returned again and again to the remembrance of the Angelic Host, the Protecting Angels, the Healing Angels, the Illuminating Angels are held in abeyance because of our gift of free will. They will not interfere without a call to assist.

Since they are Beings of Divine Love only, and They know only the Service of Love, they wait to draw the Victory of Their Love into this octave.  The closer you feel to Them, the more Their Love can hold Victory for you.

At this time of great acceleration, it is imperative to open the door to the Angelic Host.  They hold the key to transmuting the darkness into Light. The Angels ask that we pause often during the day and take time to invite them into our world.

A good visualization is to call on the Angels of the Sacred Fire to fill our Nation with the Violet Flame of transmutation.  Making the Call assures divine help at this time when it is needed most.

We give thanks to the Love of the Angels and for Their Mighty Service to humankind.

Blessings,

Karen

Perfect Love

Deeply troubled over the tragedy in Connecticut, I was guided to select a card from a Miracles box.  The words gave me peace:

"The still infinity of endless peace surrounds you gently in soft embrace, so strong and quiet,
tranquil in the might of its Creator, nothing can intrude upon the sacred Son of God within."
                                                                                      A Course in Miracles

This morning I drew another card.  It was the same passage from a brand new box.  I know the Holy Spirit is holding the space as Love comes pouring through to each of us.  Perfect love casts out fear and so we are gently reminded that life is eternal and to keep sharing our love with one another.

Blessings,

Rae Karen

12-12-12 Portal

Today in honor of 12-12-12, we had made plans with friends to greet the sunrise at the ocean.  It was raining when we woke up and so we tried to call to cancel the trip.  The angels must have been at work because we couldn't reach the couple by cellphone. When they arrived, the rain was lifting and we made it to New Smyrna Beach in time to catch a beautiful sunrise.

The pinkish clouds brightened by the hidden sun. The color pink has to do with the heart chakra.

A portal of light opened up to reveal a new dawn.

To learn about the powerful energetic portal of 12-12 and 12-21, I found this informative webpage just now. http://spiritlibrary.com/era-of-peace/what-should-we-expect-dec-12-dec-21-22-2012  It includes an attunement to align with the energies.

Enjoy your day with the Angels as you rise up higher.

Love,

Karen

Watching Thoughts Manifest...

Have you been experiencing a quick manifestation of your thoughts lately?  Especially the past few days, I've noticed I'll have a desire and within a short time the answer will be provided.

I believe that the angels are helping to accelerate our thoughts upward to the higher dimension where thought can manifest at a faster rate. It's an exciting and awesome responsibility as we begin to witness the complexion of our thoughts take form.

For instance, I've been searching for some old clay flower pots, the real terra cotta ones, reddish orange, thick and sturdy.  Early this week I'd looked at Habitat for Humanity, but couldn't find any.  Then while digging a flower bed this weekend, I shoveled deep. To my surprise, I discovered an orange rim of a clay pot buried in the sandy soil.  I didn't expect it to be in one piece. Over sixty years old and packed with its original dirt,  Bloom where you're planted came to mind.  I washed out the perfect pot, thankful for the new acquisition.

Then on Sunday after eating breakfast at Hunter's downtown, Mom, Elliot and I were on our way to the car. Walking by a corner storefront, I saw a need. Planted in a pretty ornamental urn, a large, tall leafy plant was in dried out soil. The store was closed.  The Diffenbachia was bent over with shriveled, yellowing leaves.

"Oh, I wish I had something to water this plant," I said.  But the idea of returning to the crowded restaurant didn't seem like a good one, so we walked on.  We hadn't gone very far when the answer appeared.  On a window ledge, I spotted a clear plastic glass filled with water!  It seemed as if it had been waiting for me.

The timing was uncanny. I couldn't believe my eyes.  I laughed and happily returned to water the thirsty plant.  Elliot and Mom were both surprised at the quick manifestation.

Then that afternoon at the oceanfront, I saw a rainbow, high up in the sky.  I would have missed it but my neck was stiff and I began doing some head rolls, leaning way back.  There it was...without even a drop of rainfall.  I was so thankful for the beautiful reminder of God's promise.  It quenched my discouragement.

Most friends and family admit that these are challenging times; as we prepare to receive the cosmic energies of 12-12-12, old patterns are coming up to be cleared away as we rise in consciousness, embracing the new.  It is an exciting time to be alive as we awaken to our spiritual Identity.

The angels are here to love, encourage, guide, and comfort us with this powerful transformation.  All we have to do is welcome them into our consciousness.

Enjoy your day with the Angels and remember to watch your thoughts. They are things.

Blessings,

Karen

The Joy of Christmas

Joy was in the air Saturday as the little town of Deland held their annual Christmas parade.  The Boulevard  was lined with colorful floats of animated little elves singing carols, bubble making machines, marching bands, snow makers, Santa's helpers pushing wheel barrels of red carnations shared by the Garden Club, and old time cars. And Elvis singing Blue Christmas.  The festivities lasted over an hour. I've never seen a Christmas parade. When a clear sparkling bubble floated through the air above me, like a child, I was reminded of the magic of Christmas. In the midst of so much joy, I found myself wiping away a tear, as I saw for an instant the Christ child in each happy participant. Young and old. We each come in many different sizes and packages, but the content is the same, divine Love.

Watching this beautiful float, I was thankful that my guardian angel had nudged me to the parade at the last minute.

The elves waiting for their turn, taking a break....

One cuddled a cute white rabbit or it was the Easter Bunny, a reminder to keep Christ in the season.

Even the goats were in the holiday spirit...

On our way out later that evening, I was surprised to see a small Christmas tree in the middle of the road, about to be flattened.  My son ran to the rescue before I could get out of the car.  This perfect little tree decorated with crimson berries and a bright red velvet ribbon on top, delighted my inner child. I know it's silly but I felt as though it were a gift from the angels.

Our heavenly messengers, the angels, draw close to us this time of year; the veil is thin.  Invite them to join in all your celebrations and feel the shift in your experience.  May this season you be reminded of the wonder of you, God's holy creation and of all the Divine Love that is present in every now.

Love and Blessings,

Karen

Buddy, The Horse Healer: An Angel Message

While ordering lunch at the Artist Cafe in Lake Helen, I looked up from the menu.  To my surprise, a big brown horse had his head in the takeout window!  The old television show about a talking horse called Mr. Ed, flashed back as I wondered what this horse  had ordered.

I looked away and when I turned back, he was gone, making me question my sight.   When our server appeared, I asked her if there had been a real horse at the take-out window.  She laughed. "Oh, that's Buddy. He loves peppermints."

I smiled.  A horse at a restaurant!  I loved the humor.  Out of the ordinary comes the extraordinary.  After all, Lake Helen is horse country, but this was a first.

I've always been fearful of  horses.  They're so big.  And, the thought of putting my hand near a horse's mouth....

But, I've been trying to capture the innocence and joy of the inner child.  I decided to go outside and look for Buddy.

His dark brown eyes looked at me with gentle understanding as I nervously reached up and opened my hand. Slurp, he gummed my fingers.  As I talked to him, he continued to lick my hand.  Maybe the turkey burger flavor kept him at it.

I found my heart soften as I surrendered, and just let him love me.  He leaned his head up against my shirt and tried to nibble on it, too. "You're so handsome, Buddy," I told him.

Regina, the cafe manager, had taken a ride to town on her horse. "Buddy picks up the pace when the Cafe comes into sight, and heads straight for the carryout window."  I confessed to Regina that this was the first time I'd come close to a horse.  She laughed. "He doesn't seem to know the difference.  He loves you!"

I walked away with a big grin.  Thankful I'd chosen love over fear, I now had a new Buddy.

Later, I learned the message of horse: "Horse brings with it new journeys.  It will teach you how to ride into new directions to awaken and discover your own freedom and power."

What a perfect fit.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings,

Rae Karen

The Tree of Life

This week I've been reading Joel Goldsmith's books and I'm gaining more understanding about the nature of God.  He shares a meaningful metaphor about The Tree of Life as a means of embracing the idea of Oneness.  Each one of us is a branch on the tree being nourished by the trunk anchored to the earth.  To sustain our  individuality, we must stay attached to the tree.  Often we might feel as though we can do something on our own, laden with fruit, we sever our connection feeling confident in our lower self.  But all too soon we find that our branch has withered, separated from the source, and is now lifeless.

The key to transformation is to keep our consciousness connected to the invisible Tree, knowing I can do all things with Christ.

I recommend The Infinite Way or any of Joel Goldsmith's books for those who are seeking on the spiritual path. His practical applications for going within are helpful to living a more peaceful, loving and joyful life.

Blessings,

Karen

The Archangel Metatron

This morning I was guided to select an angel card for guidance.  The Archangel Metatron was the one.  He is the Recorder of the Book of Life and scribe for all our deeds.  Metatron is the only angel within the heavenly spheres who was once human.  He was known as Enoch.

He acts as the bridge between the Divine and mankind.  He can counsel us to find the proper measure for every action we take in our lives.  This means to help us find the appropriate balance between what we give out and what we keep for ourselves.  This helps to maintain healthy well defined boundaries and keep a clear sense of self, in order to succeed in fulfilling our potential in this realm.

This Archangel can help us find the proper measure in love, work, and play.  He will also witness the good we do that often goes unrecognized by others.  He can help us when we have put effort and hard work into making something work like a relationship, a diet, or whatever goal we desire.  He can also help us give up an addictive or damaging habit.

In meditation, we may invite him to assist us when 'enough is enough', or when we need to do more for ourselves or for others.

Thank you, Archangel Metatron for all that you do to keep us in balance.

Blessings,

Karen

Happy Thanksgiving!

I couldn't find Angel yesterday afternooon. I had a good laugh when she popped up in the empty turkey box in the laundry room and posed long enough for me to take her picture.

Wishing you a blessed and joyous Thanksgiving!

Looking with Eyes of Love

At the Course in Miracles meeting this week the group teaching centered on Love, and how Love is the answer to every problem.  Begin to look on all things lovingly...

This morning I tried to put this into practice although I'll admit it wasn't my first thought.  A stray raccoon tailed cat has been coming around bullying a weaker gray tabby in need of food.  When he scared off the little one, I went outside and removed the food bowl.  I didn't like this cat and wanted him to leave the property.  I came inside feeling out of sorts.  Then a sudden impulse of an angelic nature made me go to the large picture window in the dining room and look out.

The bully was walking by and looked up at the window sensing my presence.  I looked out at him remembering the Course.  I began sending thoughts of loving kindness and the most wonderful thing happened.  He stopped and stared up at me, his amber eyes growing wider.  Then he sat down and just stared some more.  This happened for maybe a minute, but I knew there was something greater going on between us.  Our eyes were locked in a gaze of love.  We were having a divine encounter, dropping our judgments and just recognizing the love of God we share.  I  felt my heart soften and my vision shift into a special place that is hard to describe, a sweet place of peace and serenity.

Then I went about my business...and so did he.

What started out as a problem became a gift of love and I was grateful for the lesson.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings,

Karen

A Time of Harvest

This morning I woke up to the dynamic twittering sound of birds in the big camphor tree.   A feast was in the works out back. A hundred or more feathered friends had gathered on its wide thick  branches, gobbling up the plentiful black berries the old tree had yielded.  The dynamic energy of their activity was enlivening. So much so it got me to thinking about the abundance of nature this time of year.  The harvest.  A time of receiving and a time of letting go. Sharing.

Later as I was sweeping off the patio laden with leftover berries, I smiled thinking about the lessons in nature.  Our neighbor's tall oak has been showering his tin roof in a steady rhythm of acorns that sound like a shoot-out in an old time western. Knowing the harmonious source of this barrrage makes me joyful.   Each little acorn holds the potential of becoming a big oak tree, and each tree holds the potential of a forest. Some will fall on good soil and others on surfaces less than ideal for fruitage.  It makes me think about the personal agendas I create that often block the flow of God's creativity.  The blessings are overflowing, but have no room to grow because of all my stuff that's in the way, blocking the soil for success.

This week of Thanksgiving is a time of appreciation. The harvest is plentiful, but we must make room in our hearts and minds to receive the bounty.

It is a time to reflect on our spiritual nature and in gratitude give thanks for all our infinite blessings.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

The Pelican Post

I thought I saw a bird perched on a post in the rough sea at Daytona Beach on Sunday.  When I zoomed in, I was amused to find this pelican who seemed to be obeying the sign beneath her.  WARNING:  NO WATER ACTIVITY WITHIN 50 FEET EITHER SIDE OF POST.

The symbolism of the pelican in Animal-Speak is about renewed buoyancy and unselfishness. Despite their size they are very light and buoyant.  They can float like a schooner.  Often the brown pelican is observed flying solo and then suddenly plummeting into the water.  It then pops up to the surface.  Symbolically it hints at being able to be buoyant and to rest on top in spite of the heaviness of life circumstances.  The lesson the pelican teaches is that no matter how difficult life becomes, no matter how deep you plunge, you can pop to the surface.  The pelican holds the knowledge of how to rise above life's trials.

Pelicans use their long bill and pouch to scoop up fish and not to store them as depicted in cartoons.  The question we need to ask about our own personal activities is: Are you not using or digesting what you have?  Are you trying to store what shouldn't be stored?

Angel messages come in many different ways.  I enjoy a good lesson from nature whenever they appear, it is always timely and on target, presented in a loving manner.  I just need to follow through on the nudge.

Enjoy your day with the Angels and try to pay attention to those little nudges.

Daytona Beach Sunrise

I was beginning to wonder if we would see the sunrise this morning.  The thick cloud cover hid the sun for the longest time.  Then a break in the clouds revealed half of the sun like an eye awakening from sleep.

For a while it looked like a battle between the sun and the clouds.

But then the sun's rays burst forth.

And the  morning grew brighter

                A new day was dawning.

May the Light of the Creator fill your days.

Blessings,

Karen

Rainbow on 11/11

Early yesterday evening while driving to Daytona Beach it was a wonderful omen to see this rainbow shining through the clouds.  It was odd as there had been no rain, just a little sprinkle as I stopped to take this photo.  The Angels are reminding everyone to have faith that more is going on than meets the eye.  Don't let the dark clouds of doubt and fear chase away your joy, what is hidden will be revealed.

Blessings,

Karen

St. Michael, The Archangel

Archangel Michael
With all the light hitting the planet, I'm  so thankful that Archangel Michael is the overseer of Autumn, a time of letting go.  Just like the tree must release its leaves to make way for a new spring, so it is with us.  Our personal attachments are harder to surrender, but Archangel Michael can help us release what no longer serves us.  It's a good time to clean out the closets and lighten our load, as well.

"Sanctify us, we beseech Thee, O Lord Jesus, with Thy holy blessings and grant us, by the intercession of St. Michael, that wisdom which teaches us to lay up treasures in Heaven by exchanging the goods of this world for those of eternity, Thou Who livest and reignest, world without end.  Amen."

Let us, then, with confidence invoke the service and protection of Archangel Michael whose shield bears the inscription: "MI-CHA-EL"--"Quis ut Deus"--"Who is like unto God?"

Blessings,

Karen

Getting Out of The Way

The angels will help us see things differently, but this can happen only to the degree that we are willing to get out of our own way.  By taking our egos out of the picture, we not only gain clarity but divine direction.  The secret is spending time practicing the presence by stilling our minds and going within in meditation.  The practice of meditation also consists simply by paying attention to what I am doing in the moment.  This attentiveness is a spiritual power that gives one the feeling that I myself am living, rather than being lived.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Up, Up, and Away

Tinkerbell Hot Air Balloon

On Interstate 4 this morning I caught sight of an identifiable flying object.  Tinkerbell's Hot Air Balloon near Disney World.  The Angels were sending a message that out of the blue, things can change, so keep on looking up.  The sky is the limit.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Dale, The Rescue Duck

Last evening Elliot and I went to the little lake over by the dome church. It's a regular haven for the birds.  Ducks, cormorants, sand hill cranes, you never know who'll show up.  We like to sit in the car, eating subs and enjoying the view.

Something unusual was going on.

Two sand hill cranes were putting on a show.  With wings spread wide open, facing each other,  they gracefully fluttered up and down like two ballerinas in joyful dance. I wished I had my camera.

A young woman had an opened  pet carrier.  I asked her if she was releasing a rescue? She shook her head, "I'm trying, but she's not ready."

Her feathered friend,  a small brownish duck with a reddish beak and soft brown eyes stayed close to her human guardian.

"It's wonderful how you take care of the birds," I said, as she sprinkled seed on the ground.

The woman laughed, shaking her head. "I never liked anything with a beak before!" she said.  "Then three weeks ago, she showed up at my door with a gunshot wound." She pointed fondly to her rescue. "I rushed her to the vet and have bonded with her.  Since then, she's been healing my heart as I've been tending to her."

"What's her name?" I asked.

"Dale. We named her that because we weren't sure if she was male or female."

I looked at Dale, now the picture of perfect health, waddling close to her human Angel.  I watched the two of them do their own dance.  The Angel woman tried to coax Dale back into the carrier to take her home. Only Dale wasn't so sure.  She would come close to the door, then turn away.  "She's teaching me patience," the woman said.

Knowing Angels are always with us.  I decided to ask for help, expecting them to shepherd Dale right back inside the carrier.

But the dance continued for a long time.  Baiting her with food and a bowl of water.

As I watched the process, I began to realize that Dale had her perfect place in God's kingdom.  That she was also an idea of God and as such could not have one shred of error in her.  In divine mind, she was already perfect and free.

"Maybe she doesn't want to come with me?" The woman said, with a change of heart.  "She was attacked by a crane near my house.  I just brought her from the vet and was told not to bring her back home because the crane would get her again." She wiped her tears away.

I gave her a hug. "You did your part. You were like an angel to her."

Elliot asked. "What was your intention when you brought her here tonight?"

"I wanted to release her."

Suddenly Dale flew up in a tree.

"Maybe that's her way of telling you that she doesn't want to go." I said.

With a hint of relief, the woman smiled.  "I've been following signs.  I was planning to drive her to a place eight hours away, but then learned of this wonderful lake from a lady at the Vet.  So here I am."

We looked up at Dale perched in the tree.

"You've done everything you could for her.  The same protection that led her safely to you has led you here tonight." I said, as she wiped her eyes.  "You can go in peace, knowing you helped her."

She nodded, heading back to her car. I was guided to help with the pet carrier. When she opened the trunk, we heard the flapping  of wings.  We looked up.

Dale was standing by the cross on the church roof.  "She's sending you a message," I said.  "This is the way she wants you to remember her."

She looked up at her duck friend."I've been following signs." she said again.

"The world's a better place because of people like you," I said. "Thank you for caring."  Tears were falling as I watched her drive away.  I thought about The Oneness of the Circle of Life.  Ducks represent emotional healing and  Love is all there is.

 I wondered who rescued who?

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings,

Karen

Missing Angel?

I'm so thankful for the understanding that angels are guiding and protecting us, and our loved ones. Yesterday afternoon I was busy planting ferns in the meditation garden.  I came in the house and got cleaned up. When Elliot looked out the window to see what I'd done, he did a double take.  Our beloved little indoor cat, Angel was outside in the garden!  I was scared as I hurried to the rescue. She meowed as though she were grateful for our reunion, too. Although, it was puzzling as to how she'd made her escape, we assumed she'd gotten by one of us.

Early that same evening while watching a movie, I had an intuitive "angel" nudge.

Where's Angel?

It was odd because THIS time I  absolutely knew there was NO way she could not be inside. But something made me check on her.  Angel was gone again.  I ran to the window.

How did she do it?

She was outside in the meditation garden again!

I was so thankful I listened to the guidance because it was still daylight so I could see her.  I brought her back inside, feeling blessed that she was safely in my arms once again.

Both times before she disappeared, I'd seen her entering our bedroom closet.  The key to her disappearing act was found.  She had pried open the small panel door to the bathtub plumbing.  A floor board was missing. An escape hatch. Angel went exploring underneath the house.

Now that we solved the secret to the mystery, the panel door was sealed to prevent a repeat performance.  But, like most of us, she hurried to the closet, tempted  to do it one more time, only the way was barred, thanks to  angel guidance.

I know Angels were watching over my sweet feline, and I learned another important lesson in the power of listening and obeying divine guidance.  Angels can help us solve problems we don't even know about, if we just answer the call.

Blessings,

Karen

Defying Gravity: An Angel Message

While on a weekend vacation in Winter Park, Florida, I watched these kids hard at play at the playground. Have you ever noticed how exhilaration can defy gravity?  Look at this boy's feet lift off the ground in a superman move. He leaps the fence in a single bound.

The angels encourage us to enjoy life, and be like a child.  Look for the simple pleasures. And get over yourself.

Joyful blessings,

The White Crane Teaches a Lesson

Keeping Balanced
The recent heavy rains filled an overflow area that is now a favorite hangout for our feathered friends.  This white crane is the picture of balance. Standing on an open-ended pipe for security in the water, he patiently stays focused watching for the right opportunity to make a move.   Vigilantly,  he waits.   The pipe of itself serves no purpose in the flow.  The flow has appeared without any help from it.  The land area that has been dry is now a mini lake, filled with opportunities that didn't come through the normal channel.  Nature has provided the supply. The crane only needed to show up and maintain the proper focus.

The crane is a symbol of longevity and creation through focus. A reminder that the Divine is our Source and we are infinitely supplied with every good thing if we can open our hearts and minds to receiving the inspiration.  Angel thoughts, messages sent to us from God, are constantly available in the higher regions of our mind. In stillness the answer comes.  Often we stand on a material prop, unaware of the blessings that await us, but we need to step into the abundant waters with faith. When we do, the spiritual rewards will be plentiful.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings,

Karen

Creative Threads

Spiderweb hanging from the tall tree limb.
When I opened my eyes this morning after meditation, I saw something unusual.  I thought it was a reflection on the window pane and got up to take a closer look.   With my camera's magnification, I could see the detail of this amazing creation, suspended from a tall tree limb, created high enough to be visible to me, just when I needed the message the most.
Spider web early this morning, suspended from a tall limb.
The synchronicity was affirming as I usually sit on the front porch in the morning and for some reason was guided to stay in the den.  I believe the Angels speak to us through nature, and as I wrote in an earlier blog, autumn is the time of year when messages are expressed this way in abundance.

I looked up the symbolism of the spider in Animal-Speak by Ted Andrews. Spider represents creativity and the weaving of fate. The ancient mystery schools had one precept above their portals. "Know Thyself and Thou Shalt Know the Universe."  Spider reminds us that the world is woven around us.  We are the keepers and writers of our own destiny, weaving it like a web by our thoughts, feelings, and actions."

If spider has come into your life, ask yourself:

Do you need to write?  Are you inspired but not following through?
Are you using your creative opportunities?
Are you feeling closed in or stuck in a web?

Spider teaches to maintain a balance between the past and the future, physical and spiritual, male and female. Everything that you do now is weaving what you will encounter in the future.

"Weave your creative threads in the dark and then when the sun hits them, they'll glisten with intricate beauty."

I'm so grateful each day for becoming more aware of the Circle of Life, and the Oneness of it all. Love is all around us when we take time to be fully present.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings,

Karen

Joining in Oneness

Skydive Deland Photo
I snapped a photo of this picture at The Perfect Spot restaurant at Skydive Deland. A funny quote on the bulletin board also caught my eye:  "If at first you don't succeed, sky diving is not for you."

Those words don't exactly encourage a hesitant jumper to take that leap of faith.  But  with conviction, many bravely go forward embracing the blue sky.

Together we can do it, is the message of this happy troupe.  Holding hands, they are joined, breathing as one.  With strength in numbers, comes peace, our power is amplified.  We can relax.  We're all in it together. A smiling face, enjoying the ride,  is giving the peace sign.

Whenever I get fearful, I close my eyes and remember that I am not alone.  I live and breathe and move in an atmosphere of divine love.  (words from a hymn) The angels are encamped around me.  Legions of angels. A wonderful thing happens when I take time to do this.  I feel the presence of that unseen but palpable love wash over me, strengthening and refreshing me to be at peace. I connect with the Oneness.

Enjoy your day with the Angels and try something new. It doesn't have to be anything as daring as skydiving, but you may want to stretch a little if you've been in a holding pattern.

Blessings,

Turn on Your Love Light

Angel at Monastery
When I took this photo I didn't notice the decorative light bulbs on a nearby tree.  This single red one seems to be a message from the Angels to keep our own heart light turned on.  One light can help to dispel the darkness, so we can see more clearly.  We can each be that light for another, by extending a helping hand, or the warmth of a friendly smile.  Being present to those around us, makes the world a brighter place.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Angels Lighting the Way at the Gate

Angel Gate

Today at the Miracles meeting we read Lesson 131 in the A Course in Miracles book. "No one can fail who seeks to reach the truth."

A favorite passage in this Lesson speaks about angels. In a guided exercise, you close your eyes and review the thoughts you think and then let them go. Sink below them to the holy place where they can enter not.  There is a door beneath them in your mind, which you could not completely lock to hide what lies beyond.  Seek for that door and find it, knowing that you cannot fail to reach the truth.

"Put out your hand, and see how easily the door swings open with your one intent to go beyond it. Angels light the way, so that all darkness vanishes, and you are standing in a light so bright and clear that you can understand all things you see.  A tiny moment of surprise, perhaps, will make you pause before you realize the world you see before you in the light reflects the truth you knew, and did not quite forget in wandering away in dreams."

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Spreading Your Wings

A Neighbor's Angel
Often we think of spreading your wings as a means of taking flight, soaring above the mundane and communing with the Angels on High.  But when I saw this statue, I was reminded how important it is to also stay grounded.  Spreading your wings could be a sign to remember to enfold those around us with tenderness and compassion.  A comforting, kind, caring love that transcends judgment of any kind.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Happy Michaelmas Day!

First moonflower bloomed this morning!
In celebration of the Feast of Saint Michaelmas Day, the nature angels honored our garden with a beautiful white moonflower.  I don't usually go outside first thing, but I was guided to this morning.  I was so surprised.  I saw an unusual large white flower had bloomed on a vine during the night.  The full moon is this evening so it is a double gift.

I'd bought a packet of moonflower seeds in the spring, but nothing happened for the longest time, just a short spindly vine growing on the trellis by the birdbath.  Disappointed, I turned my back, forgetting all about them. Another lesson in surrendering.  But here she is, a little shriveled in the light, but beautiful with her heart shaped leaves.

The message is a good one.  Something may seem like a lost cause, but don't get discouraged.  It will bloom in a little light at the right time if we just do our part and then let go.

Curious, I read about the symbolism in a dream book.  Moonflower vine exemplifies the bountiful spreading of a singular spiritual deed.  Mine or someone else's, it really doesn't matter.  It happened!

Today we thank Archangel Michael and all the Angels, particularly those who are appointed as guardians of mankind for all their love, guidance, and protection.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings, Karen

Keep On Paddling...

Keep on Paddling
A Tourist by a Gator at Blue Springs

I took this photo at Blue Springs on Wednesday and wrote an earlier blog on love. Seeing this picture, I am reminded of an old song:

Row, Row, Row your boat...
Gently down the stream...
Merrily...merrily...merrily..
Life is but a dream."

The angels were sending me a message about not getting hung up on fear.  Just keep on paddling through the dream, sending love.  I realize how often I might get sucked up in drama, when the only solution is to keep moving downstream, enjoying the moment.  In spite of the appearance of the gator, this man and his companion were experiencing a beautiful day at the springs.  Love and wisdom go hand and hand, and so naturally, they didn't stop to stare.

When we meet up with fearful  thoughts, like gators, that can disturb our peace, we can choose to just keep on paddling by, knowing that we are always in the presence of angels. That conviction  can make all the difference.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings,

Love is Letting Go of Fear...

Elliot came up with an idea to spend time in nature yesterday, so we headed for Blue Springs.  A beautiful fall day, we took a walk on the wooden trail bordering the Springs.  At one of the look-out points, Elliot saw a lone fish in the clear water and waved.  It struck me as funny.  I jokingly asked him why he was waving to the fish. "Do you think he sees you up here on the deck?"

He assured me that the carp could feel the love vibration.  I had to smile because in a matter of minutes a large school of the same fish swam over to join in the energy.

I must say I did think he was carrying it a little too far when sending love to a smiling gator.  But it was Yom Kippur a high holy day and love was in the air.

(Smiling gator at Blue Springs yesterday)

On the way home, I lovingly tried to rescue a large turtle.  I feared for his life. He was leaving the woods, heading toward a residential neighborhood on the other side of the road. Elliot pulled over and I hurried to help.

As luck would have it,  I picked up a long stick to shepherd him back to the woods. Defiantly, he ducked into his thick shell as if to say, "I wish this woman would get a life!"  I must confess I talked to him about the wisdom of not crossing the road, but he paid me no mind.

I knew then, I was learning a lesson on letting go.  I snapped a photo and wished him well, by the side of the road.  He had to follow his own rhythm.  A young woman driving by, saw me taking a picture.  Getting out of her car with her camera, I asked, 'See what you can do to keep him safe?  As we pulled away, I sheepishly thought,  Okay...so letting go happens in degrees, but I'm learning.

My turtle friend trying to cross the road.

I'm also learning about healing.  During all the excitement,  fire ants were biting my toes.  Rather than tend to the ants, I kept my focus on the turtle, gently prodding him along.  The bites were really nothing, I told myself choosing to recognize only the perfection of being in God's image and likeness.  This little bit of conviction brought amazing results--instead of the red swollen fiery welts I usually experience, I had only a few dots that soon diminished as well as the flame.

I looked up the symbolism of turtle in Animal-Speak:  Keynote:  Motherhood, Longevity, Awakening to New Opportunities.  "...A symbol of the turtle was an invitation for the blessings of both heaven and earth."  I read on..."If turtle has shown up, it is time to get connected to your most primal essence.  Go within your shell and come out when your ideas are ready to be expressed.  It is time to recognize that there is an abundance out there for you."

A wonderful message for each of us.  The Autumn season is proving to be a time when Angels communicate their messages in nature.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings,

Karen

On Wings of Upward Thought

Wood carved Angel from Wikimedia.com
This angel wisely points upward, a reminder to keep our thoughts on High.  His face, radiant; his eyes, understanding. He knows the answer to every problem.  Love more.  Fear less.  It is not easy for us to be in a physical body so closely tethered to the earth's materiality and the  convincing misperceptions of our five senses.

Conviction is needed.  The belief in things unseen.   We have been taught to look for the negative instead of the good in this world of judgment.  What we focus on, we draw into our experience.  Worry, doubt, anxiety, and guilt block the flow of divine inspiration.  By keeping our thoughts on upward wings, we are subject to God's law of Love rather than mortal mind's ideas of fear and separation.  An opportunity is available to bring a touch of heaven into each of our relationships  if we look for the Light in everyone and keep an open heart.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings,

Karen

Life in the Fast Lane

I snapped this photo of the Daytona International Speedway while sitting at a stoplight.  The Angels seemed to be saying, Slow down and enjoy the ride.  You're part of the human race, but that doesn't mean you have to accelerate 24/7 on the fast track of life, going round and round in circles.

Stillness speaks, so it is good to pause often and quiet the mind.  A definition for angels in the glossary of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy is most helpful.  "God's thoughts passing to man; spiritual intuitions, pure and perfect; the inspiration of goodness, purity, and immortality, counteracting all evil, sensuality, and mortality."

The atmosphere around us is always filled with angels. It is important to take a pit stop and tune in to higher thoughts.  The roar of our own "engines" can drown out the best of ideas if we keep on speeding along in hot pursuit of the next ego demand. The ego is behind the wheel driving us hard and fast.  It is that part of our mind that always is seeking, but never finding.  This keeps us off balance and discourages taking time to go within.  No sooner does the ego find one thing, then it's off looking again since the latest didn't fill it up for long.

The angels are as near as our next breath, when we pause and take a deep breath, remembering that we are not alone, we can find peace and answers come in amazing ways.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings,

Karen

Take a Breath and Have Fun

On my way out the door this morning, an angel thought reminded me to grab my camera. I was thankful to be prepared when this little lizard peeked out of the dolphin's blow hole.  The patient little fellow posed for a closeup shot.

This is the season where angels speak loudest through nature. I looked up the symbolism of the dolphin and the lizard.  In Animal-Speak, Ted Andrew writes: "when dolphin shows up it is time to breathe some new life into yourself.  Get out, play, explore and most of all breathe."

And lizard is symbolic of detachment. Lizard often saves its life by breaking off its tail so it has time to flee from its predator.  A message that sometimes we must detach part of ourselves from others in order to accomplish what we need to do.  Lizard energy can help us break from the past and explore new realms, but we must follow our own intuition now.

The lizard is also associated with dream time and with the psychic and the intuitive, a heightened sensitivity.  Dreams often contain subtle perceptions which we may not be conscious of, that can give us insight and solutions.

Take a deep breath, let go of the past and enjoy this beautiful autumn in nature.

Joyful Blessings,

Rae Karen

All Things Work Together for Good

Photo from the web
I was in for a surprise when I entered the church last night.  A friend greeted me with a warm smile, saying, I hear you're looking for some more plants.   In that moment, I knew the angels were working behind the scenes as I'd not mentioned my loss of vines to anyone.  (See 9/19 blog post Choosing Again).  It gets even better. The vines she has for me are a favorite spot for butterflies to lay their eggs. I'd just recently visited a butterfly garden and learned all about the process of a caterpillar becoming a beautiful monarch.  So I'm learning to trust the process and if things don't go my way, to just try to give thanks for the lesson, and say, oh well...  Then move on...Divine Love is amazing and things have a way of working out in the most wonderfully creative way.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings,

Karen

Choosing Again...

Photo from the web
I had an experience over the weekend that put me to the test.  The past week, the weather has been pleasant and it's a treat to sit on the patio and look out on the meditation garden.  Thick  heart-shaped vines have grown abundantly over the summer, canvassing the fence at the back of the lot, adding both privacy and a strong presence of nature spirits. I really loved the view.

On Saturday, my neighbor who lives behind us, was working in her yard. The angels prompted me to share a book with her.  There was a little opening in the vines where we could speak. She was busy pruning a bush on her side of the fence, but stopped and gratefully accepted the gift.

I came back inside, feeling good for following through on guidance.  A few hours later when I looked out again, I was in shock. She'd trimmed down most all of the vines at the back of the fence.

It hurt my heart, but I knew that I had a choice.  In the past, I might have boiled over but I realized that I could either come from love or fear.  The vines would eventually grow back in the spring.  She'd done it so we could more easily converse over the fence.

If all things work together for good, except in the ego's judgment (A Course in Miracles) then it must apply to affronts that could lead to seeming separation.  That's what fences are all about.  It's kind of funny because I'd been praying to have all the walls I've built to stop the flow of Divine love to me and me to others be removed.  According to A Course in Miracles, everything is either Love or a call for Love.

The Angels help us stay in the light and love of God's true Thought.  That's what I like about the statue in this picture.  Clouds swirl around her but her head is in the light.  Angels can shield us from every negative thought we may try to entertain.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings,

Karen

You Hold The Key

Several days ago, I watched light particles fall like rain outside my window.  The earth is being showered by the coronal mass injections from the sun.  It doesn't sound poetic, but the energy is very transformational, so much so that lately I often feel like I'm in a molecule jumbo, in the process of becoming something new and different, but not yet discernible as to what that might look like.

Recently I saw a little snippet in meditation where my physical body was shaped like a key stuck in a keyhole to a door to another realm.  Half in and half out, it wasn't a comfortable feeling.  I laughed at the idea because  it made sense.  I was leaving the old, having gotten the key into the hole, but waiting for the next step. Elliot, my husband, told me to just turn the key and pop open the door.

"If  I'm the key, I'm not sure how that's supposed to work" I laughed.  "I need help--and that's where I believe my angel friends come in." I told him.

I'd forgotten all of this, enjoying a weekend visit from my girl friend from Virginia.  This morning I was drawn to a new angel book I'd bought on sale at the library last Thursday.  I had to smile when I opened it to a section:   You Hold The Key.

The book makes an important point.  We get to decide how much we want to open our hearts to the angels.  The key is to ask them for assistance with goals we hope to achieve. The more service-oriented the goal, the better for everyone during this time of fast paced change.

So if you're feeling a little out of sorts, just know that you are a work in progress and get ready for a wonderful new change.  We thank the angels for helping us to accelerate our spiritual development.

Blessings,

Karen

P.S. After taking many pictures of  keys and keyholes, the angels guided me to an old clipart book, The Ultimate Angel Book, where I finally found the right image for this blog.  (I was sorry I hadn't asked for their help earlier.)

Sounding the Trumpet

(image from Wikimedia Commons)
The sound of a trumpet broke down the walls in the Bible.  Listening to the messages of the angels can break down the barriers we have set up, consciously or unconsciously, that hold us back from being our true selves. When we are authentic,  we more freely express and share our gift with the world.

The Angels are asking us to come up higher and rejoice that our true Identity is and always will dwell in the Oneness of Divine Mind.  Wherever you find yourself today is perfect to celebrate the wonder of you and  to begin to enjoy life.  A favorite line in A Course in Miracles that comes to mind:  The past is over and all that is left is a blessing.

Many blessings,

Karen

Legions of Angels on September 11, 2001

Lillie Leonardi, a former police officer who retired from the FBI due to post-traumatic stress disorder linked to her role in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 terror attacks has written a book about seeing legions of angels guarding the Pennsylvania site where a hijacked airliner crashed.  She served as a liaison between law enforcement and the families of the passengers and crew members killed in the United Airlines Flight 93 crash. She arrived on the scene about three hours after the crash.
Leonardi's book, "In the Shadow of a Badge: A Spiritual Memoir," centers on her vision of angels.

“A white mist then began to take shape,” Leonardi recounts in her book. “It moved and swirled in patterns of spectacular white light. All at once, the mist took full shape and I saw what appeared to be angels.”

“There were angels standing in the open area to the left of the crash site. There were hundreds of them standing in columns. There was a field of angels emerging from the realms of the mist. They were Archangels with their wings arched up toward the sky,” she explained.

“And I didn’t say anything to the guys because you can imagine if I would have said, ‘I just saw angels on the crash site,’ they’d have called the office and they’d have said, ‘She lost her mind and tell her to go home’,” she wrote.

But she added that she saw more than just the shapes inside the mist. She, and two men with her, spotted a Bible from the plane that had been barely singed. All of a sudden this huge wind came out of nowhere and flipped that Bible open and I remember it flipped open to Psalm 23, “The Lord is my shepherd…” she told CBS Pittsburgh

I learned about In the Shadow of a Badge last night and look forward to reading her book.

On the anniversary of that tragic day, we remember those who lost their lives and the loved ones they left behind.  May God's angels enfold our hearts to extend love and peace and strength to all.

Blessings,

Karen

Angels on the Lookout

(artwork from Wikimedia Commons)

The more we stay vigilant for the presence of the angels, the more palpable they become in our lives. Our faith builds a bridge, experience by experience, and soon we begin to really understand that we are never alone.  Right now, in this very moment, we are on holy ground.  Holy in the sense that it is untouched by the material world.  We abide in the presence of Divine Love.  The Angels are on the look out, eager to help those who are willing, for they cannot assist us without an invitation.  Isn't it wonderful to know that in our darkest hour, an angel was there, watching over us.  God has truly given his angels charge over us to guide us in all of our ways.  When life is especially challenging, just a silent request for help, coming sincerely from the heart, brings not only peace but inspiration to guide us to the answers we seek.

Enjoy your day with the Angels and expect wondrous things to unfold.  Nothing great has ever been achieved without enthusiasm.

Blessings,

Karen
