Angel of Enthusiasm!

                      (The Meditation Garden this morning)

The Angel of Enthusiasm is my card for today.  It seemed that energy was already in play as I woke up feeling buoyant.

When I drew back the curtains in the den, the sunlight refracted through the tall trees creating radiant beams of light.  Looking through the camera lens, the sunshine appeared to be an image of an angel!  To my surprise when the pics were uploaded, a few orbs appeared to meet the day with enthusiasm.

Orbs in the Garden this am.

The Angel of Enthusiasm is an energizer...adding joyful, expectant intention to our day. I was so thankful for the reminder, nothing great is ever accomplished without enthusiasm.

Osprey Message: A Gift from the Angels

This past week I had a silent retreat at Saint Augustine at the Double Tree Hotel.  The Holy Spirit prompted me to spend time in solitude, recharging my batteries from the challenges that had presented themselves in 2014 to help me grow spiritually.

I was so grateful to have taken the time to go inward, but I had company.  A lone osprey appeared outside my window, sharing lunch time with me.  He spent most of the day and rested in the sunset after a fish dinner.

Ospreys are often called fish-hawks, and this one was a good teacher for me.  He stayed vigilant looking for the right opportunity coming his way and then went after it.  The symbolism of the osprey in Animal-Speak, is about asserting new efforts.  "Check your commitment to others and theirs to you.  Now is the time for active and fearless hunting."

I liked that angel message. The past is over and with the new year dawning, it is definitely a time to assert new efforts.  By following our heart, we will find new beginnings unfolding to share our spiritual gifts.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

Look for the Blessings, A Daily Review: An Angel Message

The Meditation Garden Early this morning

This morning when I stepped outside to feed Theo, our love cat, the sunlight was so beautiful beaming through the trees that I had to hurry inside and get my camera.  The angels were reminding me to count my blessings.  Just recently I was guided to a evening exercise.  It went like this:  Before going to bed, in your mind's eye, review the events of the day and assess how well you did.  Did you let the day's irritations and upsets block out the view of all the blessings that were before your eyes? Were you so caught up in dwelling on the negativity that you missed them?   If so, tomorrow be more aware to look for all the blessings that are right there waiting for you to notice.  Thoughts are energy, you attract what you think. Review the blessings that you took for granted.

The second part of that exercise is to look on actions you personally took that could have been kinder and more loving toward others. Did you zing someone with a barb, or maybe you judged another not recognizing that very fault within yourself.  The daily review is not to make you feel guilty, but to  be more vigilant for doing better next time. Send that person a silent blessing.

The third part is what I like best.  To let the Light of the Christ shine into your heart and mind, clearing the slate for a brighter tomorrow.

This evening examination was just what I needed to practice. The view on the left side of our meditation garden had shifted drastically several weeks ago when a neighbor cut back a beautiful old tree in another neighbor's yard.  Looking at this photo this morning, I got it.   I have a choice as to which way I look.  I still love that old tree next door that had given us a shade of comfort and privacy, but I can turn and face the direction that gives me the most peace now, and that is always toward the Light.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

A Cheshire Cat Grin - An Angel Message to Keep Smiling

Okay, I'll admit I've been a little "out there" recently, like spotting an oatmeal heart on my spoon, when I needed to remember to see with the eyes of love.

Amusing and insightful, angel messages can be simple, yet profound, conveyed in an everyday manner. The joyful messages appear in a symbol to help us shift our perception. The key is to be receptive and stay open minded.

The other morning when I woke up, I saw a light reflecting from the mirror or somewhere, it wasn't clear. The bedroom curtains were closed, but there was a light, shaped like a smile, on the wall over the TV.

It was kind of amusing.

As I stared at it in bed, I had a thought about the Cheshire cat in Alice and Wonderland.  His tail was the first to fade away, but the last part of him to vanish was his grin, which remained some time after the rest of him had gone.

I was thankful for the "light" message.  It seemed to be saying, all this illusion seems to be so real, but it will be translated into light, fading away in a smile. So keep smiling in the dark.

This morning when I woke up, the grin was there again.

I asked Elliot if he could see it.   He had to move over to my side to see it.

"Oh, on the TV antenna," he said.

I laughed.

Our new antenna looks like a sheet of white paper.  That was what had been holding that grin...
Even more significant became the message to watch what you're tuning into. Love or Fear

Enjoy your day with the Angels and look for their loving hopeful messages. They are smiling everywhere.  Keep your faith.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

Loving Spoonful: An Angel Oatmeal Message

Heartshaped Oatmeal Grain

I love little unexpected angel touches, some so sweet and loving they heal the heart.  I was working on a vision problem with a healing practitioner. "You will receive direct clarity on what needs to be healed in your thinking," she told me.

In the evening after having a bowl of oatmeal as a late snack, I set the bowl on the sofa beside me.  Later when I picked it up to go to the kitchen, I caught sight of a tiny oatmeal heart, the only remnant on my shiny spoon. Not trusting my eyes, I asked Elliot if he could see the heart shaped grain of oats.

"Another blog," he smiled, but I wasn't so sure.  "Take a photo," he said, "see if it turns out."

Loving spoonful was the angel thought that came while uploading the photo. No matter what may ail you, love is always the remedy. It is the only ingredient worth saving.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

My Cup of Tea...An Angel Message

There's an old saying for when we don't like something very much.  "That's not my cup of tea."   This morning my teabag had an angel message that I needed to drink in.

Live light,
travel light,
spread the light,
be the light.

A good reminder that sometimes some thing comes our way that is less than desirable, but if we can concentrate on the essence and not the material form, the light is there.

"While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light."

                                             ~Jesus
                          John 12:36

Enjoy your day with the Angels, and be the Light that you are.

Shamrocks in Bloom: An Advent Door Surprise

What a surprise to find this  bouquet of large shamrocks in bloom by the Peace Pole in the meditation garden. A gift from the fairy realm.  According to the Language of Flowers, a shamrock is the symbol for lightheartedness.  Saint Patrick compared the tri-part leaves to the Holy Trinity:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Letting Go: An Advent Door Message

Angels speak in many ways.  I hear them best when observing nature.
Yesterday while at the Christian Science Reading Room in town, when I first arrived, I stood at the double glass doors while admiring the lovely garden. It was then I saw a little lizard.  Facing my direction, he clung tightly to the outside glass door.   He seemed to be stuck between two doors, the screen, and the double sliding glass door that led to the patio.

I was happy to be there to help! Maybe he'd been waiting all through the night for a rescue.   My friend, in charge, told me, he could probably get out the same way he got in.  It turned out that she was right, the screen was partly open on the other sliding door and he could escape whenever he was ready.  I let him be.

I had a little laugh, instead of him waiting to be rescued by me, he was a messenger waiting for me. His presence became my advent calendar "door" for the day. "Freedom"

Lizard represents dream time, a message not to take this illusion so seriously.  I had been praying about a loved one who was going through a severe testing period.  The lesson of this lizard was a timely one.  Although we, or our loved ones, may appear stuck at times with an issue, the answer is waiting if we can detach from the seeming problem and turn our focus to God. Then we'll be shown the way out.  It was there all  the time, we just couldn't see it because we were looking in the wrong direction. God is All.  When I returned home, my prayer concern had been set free into a new light. Healing was in the wings.

Synchronicity was in play.  The afternoon mail delivered a book. "The Way Out" by the author of The Impersonal Life.  The quote on the back also perfect:

"Ask and ye shall receive.  Seek and ye shall find.
Knock and it shall be opened unto you."   --Jesus

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

P.S. Although I didn't get a pic of the lizard yesterday, I went outside
with my camera today and asked for a lizard to show up for the blog
photo.  Nothing seemed to happen.  The weather a bit cloudy, but when
I turned around in my chair on the patio.  There he was...waiting.  I love
the kinship with All Life, don't you.

The Angels of Vision: Seeing Divine Reflection

On December 3rd, Elliot and I were surprised when we both selected an Angel of Vision card.   One from our old angel deck had made its way into the dish. After our morning meditation, my attention was drawn to the three flames flickering in the yellow illuminating candle bowl called Sunrise.

I recognized then that I was being shown how the three distinct reflections on the outer glass appeared to be real, if I didn't know better.  But that my understanding knew the truth, and that was that.  A higher Truth dictated that the reflections, although seen in the physical, can only reflect the perfection of the Source (Light).  Although an attempt could be made to alter the reflections by coloring the glass or trying to wipe the reflection off the glass, it simply could not be done, that much I knew for sure. I got to thinking how my true reflection can only reflect the Source.  It has no power of its own.  I thought about  my ego mind or mortal mind trying to change the perfection of my reflection as a child of God, murking it up with limited negative thinking.

Now I could see more clearly that the truth about my real Identity can only reflect the attributes of God (Life/Truth/Love) and although the glass reflection could appear different as influenced by outside factors, the true reflection although temporarily appearing different, did not change Truth.  Divine perfection is the only true and real reflection, anything else is false.

I was so thankful for the metaphor.  I gained more clarity on not being deceived by appearances. Sometimes my ego mind will present an argument that may seem valid by appearance, but the inner Knowing prevails, no matter how convincing the external evidence may appear.  So it is for each of us.   At the heart of each of us, is the spark of Christ consciousness reflecting Light and Love and Life,  eternal Truth, anything else is false.

Enjoy your day with the Angels,

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

Remembering Departed Loved Ones at Christmas Time

(Artwork Wikimedia Commons)

While shopping on Sunday, I met up with my Mom's doctor. "This is going to be a hard Christmas for you," he said, as we stood in line at the store.  The last time I'd seen him was at the hospice facility last summer.

"Mom's exactly where she wants to be." I smiled. "I've already received many little messages that she is happy."

He laughed, knowing my mother and her eagerness to move on up at age 96.

There are no coincidences, and this becomes more evident the more I stay awake. I'm always meeting up with the right people at the right place; all part of a grand plan.

I am so grateful for the understanding that life goes on beyond the physical body.  Holidays can be especially sad, longing for those cherished memories with loved ones. A book by White Eagle* helped me gain a brighter perspective.

"In the world of spirit Christmas time is a most grand and powerful ceremony or festival, of which man only gets a glimmering reflection. Here the presence of the Cosmic Christ is actually seen and felt. Try to picture a temple, apparently built out of light, in the centre of which can be seen a Christmas tree shining with light—a symbol of the Man of Light, or the perfect light symbol; also of the Giver of Light, the Creator. This scene is for the children, and oh! How they love their Christmas festival! Yes, spirit children are very like the earth children—they laugh, sing, and dance, and are easily made happy. They hear the voices of the angels. They enjoy themselves with their appointed mother guardians and with other children who to them are like brothers and sisters.

Those of you who have lost loved ones, husbands, wives or children, should realize that they have only left behind the dust of the earth. They themselves are alive in this wonderful world of eternal life, about which we are trying to speak. In love there is no separation. So at your Christmas try not to think with regret about those whom you have lost; rather let your hearts go out in joy to them in their new-found life of freedom and happiness. They can all gather round you. Yes, we are giving you their message of love. You must not think of us as being very sanctimonious and proper in the spirit world. Indeed, the beloved Lord himself has a keen sense of humour. There is greater fun in the spirit world than on earth. Therefore, may the peace of the spirit of Christ bless your Christmas, and bring to you that deep and lasting happiness which comes in the silence of the night, and in peaceful days.

Before you sleep, try to remember that if your hearts aspire, purely and simply, to join the company of heaven you too may be fetched by angels—by your own angelic teacher and guide—and so witness and even participate in this Christmas celebration. So on earth, whatever you are doing, remain alert; and in your heart keep the simple trust of a little child.

We bring all love from the brotherhood invisible. No matter how far you travel, wherever you go, whatever you do, the friends of your spirit will be close beside you, and the happiness and joy which you feel in your hearts will be increased by their loving presence. Never shut us away at Christmas, we like to come in, we like to come into your heart and into your home."

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Karen

A Christmas Tree: An Angel Message

(Artwork Wikimedia Commons)

Yesterday I got busy decorating our Christmas tree.  It had been packed away in a box in the attic.  The assembly was getting frustrating as I wrestled with the color tipped branches that weren't fitting into their designated holes on the trunk of the tree.

An angel thought reminded me that the activity of decorating a tree is symbolic of a spiritual idea.   The evergreen tree represents eternal life.  The sparkling tree lights represent spiritual illumination,  and the angel ornaments are symbolic of our heavenly helpers.  My earlier frustration faded away as I asked for divine help in putting it all together.  Soon, the branches, one after another went in without any struggle.  I relaxed and enjoyed the peacefulness of creating a beautiful tree to celebrate this holy season.

I've read that an angel presence comes to enfold each Christmas tree with love and it will remain throughout the season bringing a sense of joyful expectation that something wonderful is unfolding both within us and without.

December is a holy time as the heavenly host draws even closer to the earth plane in celebration of the Light of the World, the Christ.  Their loving presence is especially palpable in the "atmosphere" around us.  It's a joyful practice to invite the angels to join us as we go about our festivities during the season. No matter where we are, when we remember them, surprises fill the air as we look to be a blessing to others.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

An Angel Message from the Ducks

These three ducks are out of water, taking a rest on the shore.   Their feathers didn't even get ruffled when I stopped to take a picture!  Ducks are symbolic of chilling out, not letting our emotions get the best of us, rather than react just let it all go, like water rolling off a duck's back.

If an issue is trying to surface today, just stay out of the water and rest in the sunlight.  There is a time for everything, so enjoy the peacefulness of today.  Difficulties will be handled effortlessly.

True Vision: An Angel Message

This morning while sitting on the sofa talking to Elliot in the chair across the room, I noticed an angel message of truth.  The two white doves on the room divider had each taken on two different hues from the sunlight shining through a stained glass panel in the window.  One dove now appeared to be pinkish, and the other one, blue.  I knew the truth about them--despite appearances--they were both the same, pure Spirit, white.  But my human eyes were deceiving me that they were clearly very different.

Even more interesting, the stained glass panel was about having faith.

It was a perfect lesson.  Although we may appear differently in these human bodies, influenced by external factors in our lives, in essence we are all Spirit at our core, coming from the same Source, Divine Love.

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen."
Heb. 11:1

Rising Above Tests: An Angel Message

                       (Osprey at beach)
The cranes were whooping loudly, and a hawk circled overhead this morning. God was speaking to me through nature.  It was about not reacting to my neighbor who lives behind us.  She had hired a team to cut down the beautiful canopy of a tall old hardwood tree in my next door neighbor's yard.  It was heartbreaking to watch. I found myself beginning to boil inwardly, always a sign that I have moved away from Spirit and have aligned more with the illusory material world.

So, nature was putting a check on my reactions.  I had to silently pray not to have the angry feelings I did.  I remembered how a tree is only a concept of a perfected idea of God in the spiritual realm.  So what I was seeing really had no power to destroy a perfect idea of God.  I must say, this took a lot of work, but I didn't like the way I was feeling about her.  I was surprised I had so much hidden anger in me...so the sandhill cranes were whooping loudly.  Always a message not to disturb the environment with more negative thinking.  And the lone hawk circling, a message to rise above it all and see the bigger picture.

The timing couldn't have been worse (or better) as I was preparing to finish my book on spiritual lessons I've learned from nature.

So, dear friends, whatever is looming in front of you today, try  to follow as best you can the calling of nature, and go within to connect with the truth of who you are and what you really are doing here on this earth plane.

Enjoy your day with the Angels. And remember,

"Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God."

Listening to God: Angel Messages

Last weekend,  a lecture, God is Speaking to You, was held at the public library in a nearby town.  The title spoke to me, personally. I knew I had to be there.

Before leaving home for the lecture, I heard an angel message to get the directions on-line, but I ignored it.  A friend and his wife who were riding with us had given verbal directions to the church on Wednesday night, having been there several times before.

So on Sunday afternoon when the angel thought came to me, I didn't listen.  I heard it once again before leaving the house, but ignored it, thinking of myself as a control-freak. Well, I shouldn't have been surprised when we couldn't find the library, having driven right by the entrance road. We stopped at the 7-11 for directions and turned back, retracing our way. I had a little laugh to myself, sheepishly remembering the angel direction I had so clearly heard and ignored.

God is Speaking to You, if only I would listen more obediently. The lecture was just what I needed.  The speaker reminded us that God never stops talking to us.   Our "spiritual receptor" is like a radio.  Angelic messages, pure intuition, are constantly being broadcast 24/7, but unless our "radio" is turned on and tuned in, we can't discern God's thoughts.  Static on our airwaves can interfere with reception.  Static comes in many forms. It can be fear; we may be afraid of what we'll be told.  Low-self esteem will keep us from feeling worthy to hear God.  And, anger and guilt will block the loving reception as well, but there is hope.

We've all had an experience or two where we have turned to God in prayer for an answer, yet we don't hear anything.

How to Listen to God for an answer.

1.  Tune out fear. Go within and close the door of your mind.  Affirm the truths you know about God.  He is all-knowing; He knows your every need.  He  is omnipresent; ever present regardless of where you find yourself.  You cannot be absent from God.  He is All Loving and wants the best for you. (Or use a particular scripture to connect, e.g,:  "Be still and know that I am God."

2.  Tune in to God. Tell Him the problem and expect an answer.  Keep your spiritual receptor turned on.   Listen, be willing to receive.

3.  When the answer comes, obey.  Do not hesitate.

Tips that it is God speaking:

1) The thoughts that come are good and moral.

2) They are a blessing to others as well as yourself.

3) A peaceful calm feeling prevails (not pushy or aggressive like having a personal agenda)

4) There is a sense of authority.  I must do this, or I must not!

When You Can't Hear...
Then pray that the static be revealed to you.  Ask what blocks in your consciousness are impeding you from hearing God?  Then, stay vigilant for the answer.  It may not come during prayer, but it will be revealed to you so be expectant of hearing Him.

Since going to the lecture, I have had success in getting answers and hopefully will become more accustomed to turning to God and the Angels for guidance.

Have a joyful day!

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

The Angel of Authenticity

The angels guided me to a passage about being true to our Self today.  Something I think most of us struggle with from time to time.  The tragedy is not that others do not know who we are--it is that we do not know who we are, and we spend our days searching outwardly hoping to find the door with our name on it.

Thomas Merton, a spiritual seeker like you and me, wrote in New Seeds of Contemplation:

"A tree gives glory to God by being a tree.. The more a tree

is like itself the more it is like him...For me to be a saint
means to be myself.  Trees and animals have no problem.
God makes them what they are...With us it is different...
We can be ourselves or not, as we please.  We are at liberty
to be real, or to be unreal.  We may be true or false, the
choice is ours.  We may wear one mask and now another,
and never, if we so desire, appear with our own face.  But
we cannot make these choices with impunity...If we have
chosen the way of falsity, we must not be surprised that
truth eludes us when we finally come to need it!"

The goal of life is to become our authentic Christ self, the one God intended us to be.  The inner seed, our divine spark, does not rest, it will make itself heard time and again, inspiring us to be what we are meant to be.  The angels will help us with that glorious unfoldment when we have the courage to let go and be.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

An Angel Message: A Time of Joyful Transformation

                                          (Artwork: Wikimedia Commons)

In keeping with yesterday's theme of new life, this message from the angels was conveyed this morning as I sat down to write:

"Dear Ones,

We are here to assist humanity in your sojourn to the next glorious level of spiritual advancement.  The old you (ego) is breaking down, passing away, thus the sorrow for "what has been". This clears the path for the joy of  rebirth into the next phase of your existence, what is yet to be!  At no time are you absent from your I AM Presence as you go through this contraction and expansion process.  Although it may feel stressful and uncomfortable at times, the end result is well worth the birthing pangs.  Patience is needed with self as well as with others.  Those souls around you best reflect the unhealed areas of your consciousness that are in need of having more light thrown upon old wounds so they may be revealed to be healed.  It is all Good.  Trust the process, and when things feel overwhelming, still your mind, take a breath, and go within to connect with the peaceful state of your true Being.  Wonderful things are happening.  You are the Light, and you are loved."

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

Beyond the Stars, Deep Within: An Angel Message

The Milky Way Galaxy (Wikimedia Commons)

I believe in one God--sole, eternal--He who, motionless,
moves all the heavens with his love and his desire...
This is the origin, this is the spark that then extends into
a vivid flame and, like a star in heaven, glows in me.
DANTE ALIGHIERI
Paradise XXIV

In the Psalms, we read: "The heavens are telling the glory of God. The sky declares the work of His Hands."

When looking up at the vast night sky, how humbling to realize that we are a part of such a wondrous creation.  The Milky Way Galaxy, where we live, measures 100,000 light years across.  The ratio of our little solar system is like a little cul-de-sac the size of a quarter (coin) in our galaxy as vast as the North American continent.

A quote by a well-known genius captures our limited human intelligence.

The human mind is not capable of grasping the Universe.
We are like a little child entering a huge library.
The walls are covered to the ceiling with books in
many different tongues.  The child knows that
someone must have written these books.
It does not know who or how.
It does not understand the languages in which
they are written.  But the child notes a definite plan
in the arrangement of the books.
...a mysterious order which it does not comprehend.
but only dimly suspects.
ALBERT EINSTEIN

As magnificent as the physical universe appears to be, there is even a greater kingdom dwelling within us that Christ talked about when he said, "My kingdom is not of this world." He taught "Seek ye first the kingdom within, and all things shall be added unto thee."

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Aurora Borealis: A Gift from the Angels

(Aurora Borealis over Banff Springs, Canada - Wikimedia Commons)

An aurora borealis lights up the sky and fills my mind with wonder. I saw my first Aurora Borealis in the early 70's while living in Fairbanks, Alaska.  So impressed by this  magnificent phenomena, I memorized the definition.  The aurora borealis is caused by the reflection of the sun's radiation upon the rare gases of the earth's upper atmosphere. Who would imagine that scientific description could convey such rare beauty.

The aurora shown here is over Banff Springs, Canada, the ethereal retreat for Archangel Michael. In 1994, I visited Banff Springs to attend an Archangel Michael spiritual conference that was life changing.  Four months later, I found myself leaving everything familiar and beginning a new chapter in life.

Love and blessings,

Archangel Michael - Call on Him

A reminder from your angels.  Archangel Michael, the governor of this season of purification and letting go will  intercede  when called upon. No problem is too great, whether it be health, finances, relationships or work.  Archangel Michael stands ready and able to assist any seeker on the spiritual path.  Under his direction, we can make wise choices that lead to fulfilling our life's service to humanity. A gift to share with others that makes our heart sing.

Archangel Michael is a powerful Ally and with him beside us there is no need to fear.  His mighty sword will remove obstacles in our way, whether they stem from our ego or that of another.  He is here to aid in our spiritual acceleration and will help us break the bondage of our ego.

It's been over a month since he took charge.  Remember him often and ask for his help in making major life decisions.

We thank you Archangel Michael for all that you do.

Love & Blessings,

Rae Karen

An Angel Message from A Turtle

I've started a daily exercise program that should begin at a brisk pace, but all the wildlife  at the pond is distracting.  This morning I spotted a turtle swimming far out in the middle of the lake. It was about the size of a dime, until I zoomed in. Trying to focus,  the lens bounced, I couldn't make out his face; he appeared headless. Asking the Holy Spirit for help,   I took several shots, but it wasn't until the pics were uploaded, I found that I had what I had been seeking.  His head was above water and the expression on his face, priceless.

I realized then how my eyes had been deceiving me as I had only been able to see the contact point where the reflection and reality began to meld.  So it is with us when we try to perceive a particular situation.  It seldom is as it appears to be.  Asking for divine help is a good way to gain clarity.

In many societies turtle was a symbol for Mother Earth, the shell represents the world, which she carries on her back.  When a turtle appears it is a sign that a new world is opening up with new opportunities.  We have gone within our shell and it is now time to come out and express ourselves. Turtle tells us to trust that the vibrations are good now for making a move.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

The White Heron: An Angel Message

On Sunday afternoon, this fellow stood on the edge of the pond as Elliot and I passed by on our walk.  His mouth  was opened wide, ready to take the "bait". He reminded me of a recent spiritual lesson. The bait is any personal sensitive reaction to something that causes a rise in your emotions.

That's been the  discipline I've been working on last month. It was the topic at A Course in Miracles meeting on-line at the Miracles Distribution Center.

"Don't take the bait, and get hooked like a flailing fish, reeled in on a line.  Instead, let it go, it's not worth reacting to; go within and choose peace.  Sounds easy, but as we all know, sometimes we find ourselves taking the bait before we realize what happened.  And although we may not react openly in the physical, unfortunately, we find that mentally we've swallowed it hook, line, and sinker as it continues to dominate our thoughts.  It is good to remember that no one else can take the hook out of our mouth, so don't wait for the other person to do it, such as "I can't believe you said this to me?  Are you going to take it back?"

No...we swallowed it, so we alone must take the hook out. This involves choosing to see things differently. Just call on the Holy Spirit to let you have peace instead of the angst you're feeling.   When asked in earnest, you'll experience the results as quickly as you can give up the need to be right.  And next time...try not to take the bait in the first place.  Smile inwardly, and tell yourself God loves you and He never changed His mind about you.  Then let it pass... like all things eventually do.  Truth needs no defense.  Everything is either love or a call for love, as A Course in Miracles teaches.

Enjoy your time with the Angels.  They are here to comfort and protect you as you invite them into your life.

Love and blessings,

P.S. Heron signifies time, longevity, focused patience, untiring concentration and secret knowledge.
Heron plumes are a symbol of silence.  In Angel Messages, The Oracle of the Birds, Claire Nahmad writes that the raspy cry of the heron brings us the message:  "There is a time for all things, and a season for every purpose under the Sun."

Angel Message - Straight Ahead

Angels of Divine Light and Love direct our path:  Straight ahead... a step by step process,  as we walk by faith and not by sight."  Sometimes the way becomes narrow, and the climb rocky, but the journey is well worth the effort for when we reach the top and see how far we've come, we know we are not alone.  As we admire the grand view, humbly we recognize the challenges faced have transformed us into something far greater than previously known, our spirit is enlivened. We find we have more faith to conquer the next mountain, to overcome whatever may be up ahead.

In gratitude, our passage through time and space has not been a coincidence, the lessons learned have been in preparation for the next triumph as we continue forward, accelerating our spiritual development with the help of the Heavenly Host.

Enjoy your experience with the Angels and give thanks for their loving, tireless support.

Love and blessings,

Ladybug Messengers: An Angel Message

How often do we look at things without really seeing them?  Then, a sudden shift in perception brings everything into focus, and we have clarity-- understanding the circumstances that led up to creating this exceptional moment.

In August, when my mother passed on, I inherited most of her angel collection. The June Angel, shown here, had been a birthday gift from a friend or relative.   Now, she watches on the kitchen windowsill.

Yesterday, I read an inspirational book on abiding in the Presence by inviting Christ to join us as we go about our daily activities.

This morning, I remembered to ask Him to be with me as I cleaned up the breakfast dishes.

While scrubbing the oatmeal bowls, my attention was drawn to the base of the June Angel statue.  I noticed the little red ladybug for the first time.

Ladybugs! I grinned.

They had mysteriously appeared on the window of our hotel room in abundance last weekend. (see previous blog).  The view of colorful fall foliage had tearfully reminded me of my mother and the autumn weekends we'd shared in Virginia with her over the years.  I was missing her.  More and more ladybugs were somehow coming through the sealed shut hotel window.  Elliot and I got busy escorting them downstairs and back out in the fresh air.

So the sudden sight of this little ladybug on Mom's birth Angel brought me joy.  Perhaps Mom, now an angel, was the heavenly inspiration behind all little ladybugs parading on our hotel window.

What comfort to know our loved ones never leave us. Powerful love binds us together.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Sandhill Cranes: An Angel Message

While having breakfast on the porch this morning, there was a loud whooping sound from the street.  I looked out in time to see these two taking a stroll, stopping a car here and there.  Their raucous call interrupted a conversation about some of the pitfalls we'd joyfully overcome on our recent trip.  The cranes seemed to be reminding me to stay in the present; it's a new day.  Cranes are symbolic of longevity and creativity.  What are you creating in your world today? was their loud and clear message.  I had a good laugh and grabbed my camera, thankful for their visit.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Ladybugs: An Angel Message

                                           Ladybug - Wikimedia Commons

Angel messages often come on "wings" of inspiration.  Some more deliberate than others, like the unusual gathering of ladybugs on our hotel window this past weekend. I noticed four crawling on the inside window pane in search of a way out in the sunshine. Giving a helping hand on the colorful autumn day, I quickly escorted them in a cup down five flights on the elevator. They seemed happy to be freed in the grassy area--their wish fulfilled. Elliot took the next group of three that emerged. Later two more ladybugs had come to join in the party.    Ladybug's appearance signals new happiness and wish fulfilled.  It was a joyful weekend as we were visiting our new granddaughter, Victoria.

Enjoy your day with the Angels, and watch for the many ways the angelic beings communicate to you with messages from Nature

Angel of Autumn

                               (Photo from Web, public domain)

Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year.  I love the change in nature, trees loosen their golden and russet leaves so that we may walk in softness.  Just as nature is in the process of transformation from season to season, we, too, find ourselves being renewed and transformed, as we open up to the spiritual truth of our being and connect with the angels who walk beside us on our way home.  The keyword for the season is detachment, a time of letting go of the old in preparation for a new beginning.

Enjoy your day with the Angels, and remember to call on Archangel Michael to assist you in overcoming any fears.  He will help prepare the way for progress in our spiritual advancement..

Love and blessings,

Angel Scrolls: A Message from the Angels

Norman Rockwell's paintings have always been a favorite. This vintage candy box I picked up at a flea market seemed like a perfect tin to store my homemade angel scroll kit.  As you can see even a king can use a little heavenly help.

Although we may not offer chocolates to everyone, we can be just as sweet in other ways.  That's why I get so much joy out of making and sharing these little gifts as I go about my day.  Listening to the angels, I'm guided as to who may need one.

There is always an element of surprise that a stranger cares, and also curiosity as to what angel will be inside the scroll.  Whether it is Courage, Joy, Abundance, Faith, Love, Light or any of the other celestial virtues, it always appears to be "right on" in that moment.

So today, I'm opening up a scroll for you, a gift from the Angels.

The Angel of Music encourages us to take time out and listen creatively to good music.  Be relaxed and receptive without feeling a need to be entertained.    Music is healing for the soul, and a powerful way to hear guidance. Without really trying to figure anything out, just be in the flow of the soft instrumental harmony as you close your eyes and drift...

Enjoy your day with the Angels,

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen
