Power of Praying

I have been moved to tears by the outpouring of loving kindness that  people have shown toward each other during this catastrophe.  The power of prayer opens doors and brings relief in unexpected ways. We witnessed this time and again during Harvey, as first responders and volunteers (Earth angels) showed up in boats, dump trucks, whatever it took to get the evacuees out of harm's way.  Even in the midst of such devastation, God is on hand, making a way.  Gratitude that so many lives were spared in the flooding. "For he shall give his angels charge over thee..."  (Psalm 91)

Have a blessed day.

Love,
Rae Karen

So Great a Cloud of Witnesses...

My son recently sent this beautiful photo of a painting inside a famous cemetery chapel in California. Synchronicity came into play as the next day my Bible lesson had a passage that explained the artwork in Hebrews 12:1. "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us."

During times of chaos when we feel most alone, it brings comfort to remember those who have won the race are on-high cheering us to press on and not give up.  With patience and trust in God, we too can claim the victory in Christ Jesus.

Keep your heart full of faith and acknowledge Him and His angels who surround, comfort, and guide you through life's storms.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

The Great American Eclipse, August 21, 2017

In keeping with that old adage: As above, so below, as within so without,  I wondered what this rare celestial rendezvous between the sun and the moon might symbolize today.   In the Zohar, the sun represents the masculine aspect of God, and the moon, the feminine.  The moon has no light of her own and can only reflect the light of the sun.  So today brings a mega dose of radiance for the feminine as she bathes in the totality of the magnificent golden sun, it's a dance that temporarily eclipses the material aspects of Earth.

The path of the eclipse will begin its trajectory at Mount Angel in Oregon.  A reminder to keep our thoughts on things above today.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

Cloud Nine Services: An Angel Message

What a surprise to see this Cloud 9 Services truck cross our path early yesterday morning.  Elliot and I had just pulled into the Lowe's parking lot on a mission to buy flowers.  I was so grateful for the beautiful sunshine, and all the wonderful sights along the way.  So this uplifting sign captured my altitude. To be on Cloud 9 is to be with the angels on high, happy and free to enjoy each moment.

At the garden center, I found my favorite flower on sale.  Named for the buttery colored blossom, Buttercups bring an energy to help awaken a new sense of self-worth.  The power of your words especially when used for healing will be heightened. It signals opportunities for new life directions and for sharing our light with others.  Words affect all things so the bright colorful buttercup is a reminder to choose our words carefully for they will have greater impact now.

Enjoy your day with the Angels, and look for ways to brighten the day for another.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

Disengage: An Angel Message

Angels messages can come from out of the blue. Recently a gardening friend shared a word that had helped her overcome an unhealthy addictive relationship.  Her word was to disengage.

Disengage is a powerful word, especially when dealing with difficult relationships that rob our time, energy, self-esteem, joy,  and  undermine our good purpose for life.

Sometimes an illustration helps to make an impression.  So my gardening friend used a familiar analogy:  When I'm on my riding mower and I take my foot off the gas, it will disengage from the fuel line. There is no power when I do. It stops. No more action.

Disengage.

Action follows thought.  So decide to disengage from destructive behavior.   And choose to engage your angels who can help you gain freedom from being overly attached to persons, places, things, as well as desired outcomes.

A wonderful skywriting message appeared out of the blue at Disney World.  God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your best life.  When we get out of the way and love God, we begin to see things in a bigger and clearer perspective.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

Swallow-Tailed Kite: An Angel Message

Whenever a beautiful bird catches your eye out of the blue, it brings a message for the beholder. Yesterday while eating lunch on the porch, from the window I spotted a lone bird soaring high above the treetops across the street.

I thought it was a hawk.  But when when it changed direction, her bright white head and snowy white belly were unlike a hawk.  I became more confused by the tail. It had a deep fork split like a swallow, only this flyer was too big for a swallow.  An inner voice told me the bird was a kite, but I dismissed it and googled a hawk with a swallow-tail.

BING! I had my messenger.

A Swallow-Tailed Kite!

Further research, and I learned that when a kite shows up, it signals a need to develop flexibility and adaptability.  Kites bring messages to use our skills.  Their tail is like a rudder on a boat.  Their appearance indicates a need to develop flexibility and adaptability.  Swallow-tailed kites drink in air, in a swallowing pattern.  They can teach us how to develop unique breathing techniques to open our intuitive abilities to recognize and communicate with spirit.

Enjoy your day with the Angels, and watch for messages from nature.

Love Deliveries: An Angel Sign

GOD LOVES YOU. HE ALWAYS HAS. HE ALWAYS WILL

What we send out wings its way  back to us, so we need to carefully watch our own thinking. The more love we extend by thought, word and deed, the more love will show up in our lives; likewise the more fear we put "out there", the more negativity will knock at our door.

Lately, I've been working on sending more "love" messages rather than fearful ones.

The angels demonstrated that what you send out does indeed return.  It showed up in subtle ways, like a lawn sign while out for a drive. (above)

In hot July, a touch of Christmas love arrived unexpectedly on our doorstep.  A large package from a friend up north brought thoughts of snowy weather. A set of Winter Whimsy oven bowls added a touch of Christmas cheer!

Enjoy your day with the Angels. And, remember that you are dearly loved and always will be.  You could never do anything to exempt yourself from the Love of God.  And watch what you are serving others, love or fear.

Joyful blessings and love,

Rae Karen

Changing Your Life: An Angel Message

Here's a bold angel message that appeared in a storefront window, and caught our reflection as we were driving by.

"CHANGING YOUR LIFE is GOD'S BUSINESS"

God will order our steps if we just follow His loving guidance in gratitude and expect good things.
Have a joyful day with your Angels and watch for the signs along the way.

Love and joyful blessings,

The Gift of a Windmill: An Angel Message

We were on our way home, feeling somewhat lighter, after having donated bags of clothing, and household stuff at a local thrift shop.  The universe is reciprocal. Because that's when I spotted a rare sight, standing tall and sticking out, in the parking lot of a scrap metal company in town.  An antique windmill!

Rusted metal blades spun round, waving.  Help!

Was that old windmill waiting to be scrapped?

I know the angels encourage to live clutter free.  I try to do my best, but there are temptations.  The state of one's house and yard represent the condition of his/her mind. So keep your home light and simple, they say.  Don't be weighed down with old stuff that you no longer need.   Pass it along.

But as we passed by the metals yard, my heart knew this old treasure had crossed my path for a reason. Not to be scrapped!  Those spinning blades brought a rush of fresh childhood memories. This was a replica of my grandparents' working windmill that had towered their farmhouse in rural Virginia.

This weathered relic reminded me of  my sweet Grandma who faced many storms in life, but never lost her faith in God.

Turns out that one man's scrap is another man's treasure.   The timing was perfect. The business owner was loading old washers and dryers onto a scrap truck.  As we pulled to the curb, I shouted from the car window, "Is that for sale?"

He gave the old windmill one last look, then said.  "Ten dollars."

"Sold!" I smiled, at the speed of the sale.

The angels of synchronicity must have been at work. Everything came together quickly.  A friend delivered the windmill that afternoon.  The next morning, I noticed the view from my laundry room had changed!   Now I can see the wind blow, as the twelve blades spin round and round, a metaphor for life's seasons. And a good reminder that with the breath of the Holy Spirit, it can be a gentle breeze if we stand tall on a firm foundation, the in-dwelling Christ.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

Sing A New Song: An Angel Message

In the photo above, Light comes into play as the evening sun pours out its radiance on Archangel Uriel. His presence brightens our living room. Sometimes it just takes a little window of willingness to let in the light.

At first sight, I knew the angels were bringing a soft message: "Sing a new song.  Rejoice in the Truth and celebrate each moment of life with gratitude.  Live life with passion."

Sing a new song to the Lord!
Let the whole earth sing to the Lord!
          --Psalm 96

Enjoy your day with the Angels!

Monkey Business: An Angel Message

I read a sweet letter from a ten-year-old student in Washington state that was printed in our hometown newspaper, The Beacon.  Lilly needed brochures on Florida for a school project. Her request brought to mind my own school days when I had made a topographical map of the state of Wisconsin. Flour, salt, water, and food coloring were part of the paste magic.  For old times sake, I wanted to give Lilly a hand and perhaps learn something along the way.

A trip to the local tourist center, and her material was ready to be mailed.  A funny thing happened on the way to the post office.  An angel message advised to go to Office Depot.  They send out packages and it would be faster. At the service counter there was no line, but the store computer would not print out my mailing label after I keyed in the information.

The manager, a fun loving spirit, joked while working on the computer problem. "A guardian monkey oversees our service department." She smiled.  "He makes sure everything gets done correctly."

I laughed.  "You mean guardian angel...?"

"No... guardian monkey." She smiled. "Look up and you'll see!"

Sure enough, stuck on a metal pipe high up on the ceiling, I laughed at the toy monkey hanging out there above the din of the marketplace.  "Are you telling me your store is run by a monkey?" I joked. "Maybe he deserves a raise."

"He already had one," she said, pointing up.  Their store's general manager had juggled a few of these monkeys when the shipment arrived.  This one got away.  Magnets inside keep him stuck to that metal pipe.  He's been up there ever since."

Elliot and I left the store feeling light after sharing laughter, and a $10 coupon bonus plus free tracking on Lilly's package to Washington.

Later, I got to thinking about the symbolism of that monkey business.  What a reminder to keep my  "little ego monkey mind" magnetized to the pipe of Higher consciousness.

Enjoy your day with the Angels. Have fun, why not bring them along on your errands.

Joyful Blessings,

Rae Karen
