Angel of Strength

                                Angel photo: Wikimedia Commons

When I first saw this photo on the web, I got the message.  The answer is higher thinking. Look up.  Keep thoughts on high.  All things work together for good.  By accepting what is and not resisting, obstacles will be overcome, and you will progress forward at an accelerated pace in joy.

Funny that my stringed teabag complemented the guidance.  So I'm steeping myself in the message.

 "Share your
strengths, not
your
weaknesses."

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Run Your Race: An Angel Message

With all the turtle energy, "Run Your Race" seems to be the angelic message for the start of the New Year.  The theme was compounded when we watched the inspirational movie Secretariat last night.  The Virginia Thoroughbred's breeder and owner, Penny Chenery, found herself beginning to run her own race (living her purpose) when she took over her father's racehorse farm.  The movie is as much about her own personal victory, running toward Life as it is her loving connection with the beautiful big red 1973 Triple Crown Winner, Secretariat.

A powerful message young Penny learned from her Dad: It doesn't matter whether they think you win the race or not.  It's whether you think you did. "You run you own race, Penny," he said, and she did!

As shown above, Elliot keeps these inspirational horses and scripture over his desk.  He suggested that I include in the blog today what I heard this morning when I wrote in my journal, "Lord, what would you have me learn today?"

The answer came:

"The race is your life and how you run it is up to you, on the physical plane. In reality, you are and always have been victorious, but in your dream of lack you must press on toward the goal of awakening in Me.  Let Me be the thunder in your hooves--the fire in your nostrils--the intensity of your desire to press on toward victory.  Don't fear, hang on tight to Me, and hunker down as we storm the finish line.  Without Me, you cannot win, with Me you cannot fail.  Victory is assured."

Enjoy your race with Christ holding the reins.

Love and joyful blessings,

Thumbelina

(The old 45 record of Thumbelina)

Vinyl records are making a comeback.  Synchronicity was at play recently when Elliot and I answered an ad in the local paper and bought a turntable.  To our delight, the seller tossed in his entire collection of over ninety great albums from the 50's and on up. In his little box of 45's, I found Hans Christian Andersen's merry tune, Thumbelina sung by Jimmy Boyd, that also happens to be the name of my guardian angel!

Listening to  upbeat music is a wonderful way to keep a smile on your face.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blue Springs State Park: An Angel Message

The Angel of Spontaneity must have inspired a trip to nearby Blue Springs State Park.  A herd of turtles were sunning on the fallen limbs. Turtles indicate to take time in your pursuits.  Trust Mother Earth.  You will have whatever you need.

A big gator grinned. Alligators indicate initiation.  It's time to act on opportunities for new birth, a time of rapid growth.

The manatees and gators get along in the warm blue springs.

Usually the manatees navigate the waters of the Saint John's River but if the water temperatures drop they swim into the springs to relax and stay warm. Manatees bring messages of trust.  Trust your heart knows what is right for you.  Then pursue your goals.

Get ready to make a splash with your angels today. Watch for messages from nature delivered to you.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

More Turtles on the Path... An Angel Message

                       (Timothy, our new garden turtle)

Yesterday afternoon the Angel of Spontaneity guided us to Lowe's Garden Center.  In search of privacy fencing, we got sidetracked by a large shipment of turtle statues. Turns out, a herd of them had just arrived and were on display in abundance around the Center. They decorated the rows of colorful flowers.

An irresistible deal at $30, it seemed it was meant to be, especially with all the turtle synchronicity on our path since the New Year began.

The cashier smiled, "What's his name?" The young woman had watched earlier as we tried to select the perfect one.

"Timothy," I said, surprised at how quickly the answer came. (A helpful turtle in one of my children's stories.)   "You know the turtle won the race," I said.  "So, it's a good reminder to have around."

"Come on, Timothy," a brawny helper said, standing by to help. Lifting the heavy turtle up on his shoulder, he smiled. "Slow and steady, that's the way to go." He effortlessly carried Timothy out to our car.

At home, Elliot came up with an idea.  Mom's large suitcase in the closet had wheels.  So we tucked Timothy inside and slowly carted him to his rightful spot. Now I can look out from the den and see him in the meditation garden. "Keep on persevering, you'll successfully finish the race, too."  His encouraging message is important to keep in mind.

Enjoy your Angels, and watch for their loving kindness.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

P.S. In the Far East, the shell was a symbol of heaven and the square underside a symbol of earth.  The turtle could help you unite heaven and earth within your own life.  A symbol of the turtle was an invitation for the blessings of both heaven and earth.  (Animal-Speak, Ted Andrews)

No Parking on the Yellow Brick Road: An Angel Message

In the wonderful story, The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy must keep on following the Yellow Brick Road to find her way back home again. This photo brings a smile.  How many times do we become so mesmerized by the world that we don't realize our lives are idling in a dream?  NO PARKING ON THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD is a warning sign.  Wake up and keep moving forward, aware of the truth in each precious moment.  God is Love.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

A Painted Turtle - An Angel Message from Nature

 (Photo: Painted Turtle, Wikimedia Commons)

On our way home from lunch in Orange City yesterday, Elliot's heart went out to a large turtle trying to cross the road. I couldn't believe the size of this one, twice as big as a dinner plate!  Traveling toward the marshland, he was half way across a two-lane road.  No cars were coming in his lane.  Elliot pulled off the road and I hurried out.

A red truck coming behind us, slowed down. I motioned for the driver to help and picked up a long dead palmetto branch to use as a guide. A woman pulled off the road and the next thing I knew she'd picked up the BIG turtle and was carrying him across the road like a flat broad tray!

"Look at you!" I laughed, as she set him down near the edge of the trees.

"What were you going to do?...sweep him across the road!"  She smiled.

"Your're an angel," I smiled.  "But...how do we know he won't turn around and go back across the road?" I worried.  "Should he be closer to the pond?" I asked.

She nodded, picking him up. His neck stuck out as she held him up.  "He's a Painted Turtle," she said.  Elliot had joined us as we admired the beautiful yellow markings on his head and neck. His eyes were soulful.  Overwhelmed by all the love, he retreated inside his shell.

"You're an Angel," I told her again, as we watched his legs lumber towards the pond.  "I always try to help as best I can," she smiled.  We exchanged "Happy New Year!" And took off, grateful that the turtle was safely on his way.

At home, I looked up the symbolism of the Painted Turtle.  "When Painted Turtle appears, we can expect our faith and efforts to be rewarded within two to three months if we continue our efforts.  We must persist.  Painted Turtle is very hardy and reminds us if we can persist and have faith, we will very soon succeed."  They also teach the importance of color; mirroring new color coming into our lives.  (Animal-Wise, Ted Andrews)

This wonderful message applies to you, too.  Remember your new Angel companion for the year.  Elliot's is the Angel of Compassion and mine, Spontaneity, both evident in yesterday's experience!

Enjoy the day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen
