Taking It At Your Pace: An Angel Message

The sudden appearance of wild turkeys always brings to mind a gift of thankfulness and abundance.  Last weekend while out for a drive,  Elliot and I happened upon a rare blessing, a large family of turkeys were crossing the country road.

We slowed down so the group could decide which way to proceed.  Some were heading to the other side of the road, while others were confused over which way to go and darted back and forth.

We patiently waited, yielding to nature and giving them time to find their bearings.  Then to our surprise, they were soon in one accord and decided rather than crossing, they would trot down the road, leading the way.  In awe of nature, we slowly but thankfully followed the abundant flock.

I did manage to catch this photo as they finally turned off the road to gobble up the green grass. We were thankful for their message to be grateful in all circumstances.

Farther down the road and around the bend, we saw another unusual traveler.  Slowly we passed by a dusty old tortoise making tracks in his lane.  A wonderful reminder to keep moving forward in the direction you're being led.  After all, his slow, but steady pace won him the race, against all odds.  So don't give up, just keeping doing your best.

I love it when loving angel messages appear in nature.  The more I appreciate the beauty of the simple things in life, the louder nature seems to call, to celebrate her gifts, moment by moment.  So no matter if you're looking to trot or taking it slow and easy, enjoy the journey along the way.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Set-backs Become Set-ups: An Angel Message

This beautiful peacock caught me by surprise on Thursday morning.  We were visiting the sacred grounds at Our Lady of LaLeche, a favorite spot we like to come and be in nature in St. Augustine.  After an hour's drive, it was somewhat disappointing that our favorite bench in the shade that overlooks the inlet, was occupied.  So we gratefully sat down on another bench, with a water view in the sunlight, and soaked up the beauty and peace.

Before long the hot sun motivated us to walk the shaded path on the Mission  grounds.  That's when I caught sight of a familiar profile.  A peacock was sticking its head out of a tall patch of green grass the gardener had overlooked. Elliot was surprised that I'd spotted the regal bird.  It had wisely nestled down in the cool green grasses under the shade of a tree by the shimmering sunlit waters.

Wanting to luxuriate in that special moment, I sat down not far from him, hoping to get back up on my feet again. He didn't seem to mind my company as together we looked out at the tranquil view.

Later, to my surprise, when I gracefully stood back up,  I spotted something in the grass not far from him.  A long bronze colored peacock feather!   I almost didn't take it, but an angel thought said, why not?

Kind of funny how things work out at times.  If our usual bench had been free, I would have missed the gift of the peacock. Whenever a peacock shows up, it's a sign to be watchful for my thoughts.  What am I thinking?  Love or fear.

More was to come.  In the early evening, following the lead of another angel thought, we stopped by Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth after dinner to look for peacocks.

The timing was perfect.

As we entered the parking lot, a parking spot was available just as this gorgeous peacock greeted us with a show.  Peacock represents resurrection energy and wise vision (watchfulness).     He majestically popped open his beautiful exquisite fan and began shimmying up and back.  All those expansive feathery eyes balanced in beauty as he proudly pivoted in the sunlight shining through the trees.  I was thankful for the lovely visual reminder to keep showing up at your best, and turning around to look for the good in every situation.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Draw Back the Curtain: An Angel Message

Yesterday an afternoon cloud burst opened up the sky with a sudden downpour.  The curtains on the porch were closed to keep out the hot sun when I thought I heard the onset of a gush of heavy rain drops.  Every day this summer has brought relief.  I'm so thankful that the grass, trees and flowers are at their best without any help from me and my hose.

Later when the sun was breaking through the blue sky again, I opened the white porch curtains to take a look.  What timing!  As I looked up, what should be looking down at me?  Perched on a high wire by the house, a young red tailed hawk met my surprised gaze.  His feathers were soaked from the rain, so much so, at first glance I thought he was a fuzzy headed owl.  But a closer look, with my phone camera, revealed one of my favorite nature messengers.  A juvenile red hawk.  "Hawk medicine teaches you to be observant ...Life is sending you signals."*

Early this morning, 7/11. more synchronicity was at play.  I opened the daily inspiration  for July 11 (7/11) from God Calling by Two Listeners  (edited by A.J. Russell.)

What a surprise that the subject title for today is Guardian Angels!

"You are Mine.  Once I have set on you My stamp and seal of ownership all my Hosts throng to serve and protect you.

Remember that you are daughters of a King.

Try to picture a bodyguard of My servitors in the Unseen waiting, longing, efficient, to do all that is necessary for your well-being.

Feel this as you go through the day.  Feel this and all is well."

The timing brought a smile, that again, more is happening than I can presently understand. I am grateful for the confirmation of silently acknowledging the guardian angel of all those who cross my path.  Not that I always remember, but the more I do it, the easier it becomes.

Enjoy your day with your Guardian Angel!

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

A Surprise in the Mail: An Angel Message

Yesterday's mail brought a smile when I opened an envelope to find a gold guardian angel coin. From time to time, I randomly receive these angel tokens from a charity service.  The synchronicity was angelic as I had just given mine away on Sunday.

Our giving is our receiving.

We can't make these things happen, no matter how hard we may try, but when they naturally occur, what joyful understanding comes with the gift.  A sign to keep on acknowledging the guardian angels wherever I go.  I'm so grateful for their loving, tireless, service to help us expand  and grow to fit the divine pattern for our life's purpose.

Enjoy your day with the Angels!  It's fun to expect the joyful things of God to come to you today.

Love and joyful blessings,

Practicing the Presence of Guardian Angels

Last Sunday afternoon,  I was guided to give a guardian angel coin to our favorite server at a local restaurant.  With her in mind, before leaving the house, I had grabbed it at the last minute. The previous week, she had been under stress from working double shifts.  Opening the restaurant at 11:00 a.m., and then closing it, not getting home to her toddler and husband until after midnight.  At that time, I'd told her that she had a guardian angel, and she gave me a thankful smile.

Fast forward to this Sunday, when at the end of our lunch, I got the guardian angel coin out of my purse and handed it to her.  Her face lit up and she said, I didn't tell you last week, but when you told me I had a guardian angel, my sister had just died.  What you said, changed everything and I felt lighter knowing my sister is now an angel on the other side.

I do believe our departed loved ones can act as angelic ambassadors for us in the heavenly realm, but it's comforting to know we also have our own guardian angel.

I was so thankful for the guardian angel timing as I had no idea what was going on in her life, but the angels helped me to be a heartfelt messenger.

The more I remember to practice "seeing" the guardian angels of those I meet, the more amazed I have become by the acknowledgement that something special is going on behind the scenes.  A touch of heaven is coming down to earth.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

Lake Restoration with Heavenly Help

This morning Elliot and I took an impromptu ride to a local farmer's market in nearby Lake Helen.  Afterwards, we stopped by our favorite spot, the lake in that town. We'd read some good news about it recently in the local paper.   Over the years, this is the place we would come and bring our chairs, eat lunch, read, and just enjoy the tranquility of the lake.   The herons, ibis, ducks, osprey, turkeys, fish, and occasional turtles added to the flavor of our outing.

Then in 2016 that all changed when invasive hydrilla clogged the waters, sapping the oxygen from the lake, killing fish, and making the lake unsafe for boating and swimming.

How sad that what once had been a serene spot in nature was now being choked off by fast-growing hydrilla. At that time, prayers were sent up to ask the angels for help in restoring the lake for all to enjoy.

Working with the angels brings results.  In the news last week, we read how a community action team got together and made things happen.  Money was funded to dredge the lake and volunteers worked weekend after weekend to manually cut out the invasive plants that were hauled off by a local paid trucker.   As we witnessed this morning, all their hard work had paid off.

Today it did my heart good to see the clear lake's moving waters reflect blue sky and white clouds like a mirror.   Happy families of ducks and sandhill cranes were hanging out with the peeps who were fishing in the beautiful lake.

We thanked all of the angels for helping to restore the lake and the team of caring people to answer the prayer.  Like I mentioned in yesterday's blog, I've been trying to silently acknowledge every one's guardian angel.  It takes practice to remember.

It was amusing on the way home, Elliot and I stopped for an Italian lunch.  Walking into Angelina's, the oldies song Earth Angel happened to be playing on the restaurant's sound system.  How perfect is that, we thought, again thanking the Earth Angels for their tireless dedication and service.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Our Guardian Angels Ever Present

In the 1990's, the awareness of angels skyrocketed as people began talking about these heavenly companions and sharing personal experiences of being touched by an angel.  The popularity of angels soared from angel documentaries, TV shows, books, magazines, art, music, jewelry and angel artifacts.   The cover of Time Magazine featured "The New Age of Angels.  69 percent of Americans believe they exist. What in heaven is going on?"

That was when my life began to change, and I became aware of the presence of angels in everyday life.  Angels are real, and now more than ever we are in need of their help.  My hope is to have a revival of God's Angels that will light up this world like never before.

It can only happen with our willingness to call upon them to assist us.  We don't have to stand helplessly by and do nothing in the face of these overwhelming changes we all face.  With prayer and the assistance of angels, we can succeed, but it comes with a price.  We must stay vigilant as we go about our day.  Driving along, we can send blessings to the guardian angels of those on the road with us.  In the midst of errands, we can choose to silently acknowledge the guardian angel of the cashier at the grocery store and also the guardian angels of those in line.  When we walk into a building, we can acknowledge the guardian angels of the business or store, and thank them for their service.  We can each become a floodgate for the angels to take charge and change the atmosphere of entire cities just by recognizing the guardian angel for each person in that city.  Silently thank them for their tireless work to assist humanity.  Pick an issue of concern, any issue, and ask the angels to come bring their light, love, peace and harmony into that problem.  Ask and watch, see what happens just by our willingness.

Another thing we can do is when we meet someone, silently greet his or her guardian angel.  With this faithful practice, soon we will be experiencing a touch of heaven wherever we go just by bringing the awareness of angels along with us.

And, most of all, remember to speak to your own guardian angel.  To give thanks for all the help you receive and for their commitment to watch over you.

I'm excited to know that there is this powerhouse of infinite love and peace that is just waiting for us to activate our gift of free will and to lean on the side of heavenly grace.  To choose love over fear, to look for the good and not be deceived by appearances.  Tough job, but we are here to do it.  We can with the help of our dear guardian angels and the heavenly host.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen
