Ants on Infinite Patience: Angel Messages

Something amusing happened recently with nature.  My husband, Elliot, called out me out of the house, “You HAVE to see what the ants have built in our driveway!”

Since ants represent PATIENCE and community, curiously I went outside to take a look.

What do you see? He asked as we stared at the pavement.

I laughed.  In the moment, it did seem as though nature had sent an intentional message with the sands of time.   For near our parked car in the driveway, the industrious ant community had laboriously created a bold large number 8!

Eight is a symbol for infinity when viewed sideways.  Was it a call for infinite patience?  I sighed, admitting my patience was running a little thin at times these days.

But the message was timely and perfectly orchestrated.  As synchronicity played out (the language of angels) later that day, when we set out to go to the lake to cool off, the car wouldn't start.  The battery was dead.

With the ants' heads-up, we counted our blessings.  "Infinite patience brings immediate effects." We weren't stranded in the blazing heat of August.  It had happened at home—we could wait inside the A/C house for AAA Auto Service.

Within an hour, a service rep appeared with a brand new battery.  Elliot made a new friend, and we were on the road to the lake again.

I recalled a passage in A Course in Miracles.  “Now you must learn that only infinite patience produces immediate effects.  This is the way in which time is exchanged for eternity."

It hit me in a new way, this idea of an exchange program through the medium of infinite patience. The key to eternity, Infinite Love.

Also this passage was helpful. “Delay does not matter in eternity, but it is tragic in time.  You have elected to be in time rather than eternity, and therefore believe you are in time."

These days are filled with many opportunities to exchange infinite patience and compassion…in TIME, if I can take a breath and still my mind, and remember to choose LOVE with the help of the Holy Spirit.

“Doubts are the ants in the pants of faith.

They keep it awake and moving.”

               --Frederick Buechner

Doubts like ants keep us building our spiritual muscle, digging deeper within, to come up higher in FAITH.   Angels are helping during this celestial speed-up.  Keep trusting the best is yet to be.  We are spiritual beings of light awakening to our true God-given identity.

Love and peace,

Rainbow Promise: Angel Message

Yesterday evening a rainbow appeared out of a cloud, without any rain.  It glistened, growing brighter...

And, with a little imagination, when the cloud thinned out, it took on the shape of a big-eyed dolphin.

The timing was good as another couple had parked by the lake. When we pointed out the rainbow, they got out of their car to take a photo.  We had a rainbow connection, making new friends. As it turned out, they live in the same community a few miles away.

A rainbow signifies hope, and God's promise to humankind.  Everyone can use hope right now with all the chaos in the world.  It is a time to stand on the promises of Psalm 91.  Angels are with us to comfort, protect, and guide.  Psalm 91 offers assurance that if we abide under the wings of the Almighty, like a baby chick seeks refuge under the sheltering wings of its mother, we will be helped in time of trouble. Not only delivered, but set on High. A glorious promise.

The best is yet to come. Don't ever give up believing, and you will pass every test, with patience and obedience.

May you feel the presence of your loving guardian angel with you today.

Gator Alert: Angel Message

Looks can be deceiving...  Perceptions skewed.  The physical senses cannot be completely trusted.  Spiritual discernment and pure intuition are needed to rise above and beyond limited appearances.  Last week that lesson came close to home on an early evening trip to the lake.

In the distance, some thing partially emerged underneath the water and was floating slowly in our direction...

Ducks usually swim directly from one side of the lake to the other side, preferring to play in the shallow waters.  This motion was quite different, not something you see often. Without my camera to zoom in, the thought of a possible gator came to mind.

It floated low in the water, with little more than eyes and nostrils showing in the sunlit peaceful lake.  An alligator didn't belong in such a quiet serene vista.  In July 2020, the 5-ft. gator first made his presence known to us. And we hadn't seen him since.

Now an ominous armor of thick bony scales swam slowly inland toward the favorite watering hole for the sandhill cranes, turkey buzzards, and a variety of ducks.

It was hard to believe.  A gator.  No one else was around. Thankfully, no other birds or animals were on the scene.  By all appearances it was another pleasant evening at a favorite place to relax and enjoy nature.

The timing was interesting.  The day before, while at the lake, I had opened up my mail. My gator postcard order of the photo taken in 2020 was in the mix.  The first time I'd ever seen the gator in all the years we've come to the lake.  And, to find a dragonfly taking a ride on the gator's head at sunset was yet another surprise when the picture had been uploaded and magnified.

The timing of his return appearance made me wonder?  Had my thoughts somehow attracted him back into the picture?  Seeing an alligator is very rare, thank goodness.

The Disney song from Peter Pan came to mind.

Never Smile at a Crocodile.

No you can't be friendly with a crocodile...

Don't be taken in...by his welcome grin.

He's imagining how will you'd fit within his skin.

Soon a lone muscovy duck showed up.

I called out to warn the unsuspecting duck paddling toward the lurking gator in the calm.

No matter how hard I tried, the duck didn't listen, not even to a promise of food.

Nervously I watched the duck paddle in circles as if no worries, coming closer to the gator.  Maybe they were friends?

A statement in divine Science came to mind about how all of God's creatures move in harmony, are indestructible, helpful and on purpose.

This lake was a place of harmony.  All God's creatures move in harmony was affirmed in the moment.

Suddenly a stirring commotion in the water...

A long whipping tail created a circular wave of concentric ripples.

A sudden lurch... a loud SPLASH...

At last, the duck woke up --squawking--wings flapping, lifting it up and safely to shore.   It had been a close call...but ended well.

At home research on the crocodile/alligator represent a presence of primal strength and creation, a signal that maternal forces are at hand.  These reptiles are good mothers, taking care of their young.

When crocodile appears it may indicate that we are not taking advantage of our impulses.  We may need to be cautious of things hidden and unexpected, especially in environments that nurture us.  There may be reason for distrust.  If we are not careful, we many be in danger of being dragged under in some way.  This is the time to trust what is right for us, our home, our children and our endeavors. New birth and initiation are near as well as the strength needed to accomplish them.

I'm thankful for the angelic reminder that the answers will come as to what we need to know when we stay in the now, still our minds and go within.  This is the time to trust in our own inner guidance and act upon it as we get led.  Angels are with us.  God's representatives. God is Love.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

When Least Expected: An Angel Message

This summer the little garden patch underneath the shade of the palms out back has been low maintenance.

Thanks to the daily rain storms, and no need to water, it has been mostly ignored.  Until yesterday morning when I got out of the car.  I noticed a large dead palm branch pruned by the wind.  It lay draped like a long-handled broom smothering the potted plants in the garden.

The timing was interesting.   I'd just told Elliot that I didn't sense my mom's presence around me today like I had in the past on this special day.  It marked the 7th anniversary of her passing.

That's okay...she has moved on to more expansive vistas. I said, as I went to tidy up the windswept pots.

When I picked up the heavy dead palm branch to haul it away...

What a surprise! Mom's pink bromeliad was in bloom...a little mashed, but sharing its beauty.

Unlike most budding flowers, the bromeliad has only one flower.  It blooms inside a deep well and must grow taller as the stem shoots out of the hollow and into the light.  Then it can be appreciated for its own inner beauty.  The bromeliad reminds us to open up to our deeper nature, the self that is part of a grander whole.

What made this anniversary discovery even sweeter... this plant is one of the many off-springs of the original one we got seven years ago to honor Mom.  And, the ladybug decor on the metal rack was the icing on the cake.  I didn't notice it until the photo was uploaded.  Ladybugs are a sign that Mom is near.

How wonderful to know that love never dies...it is ever-present.   And, to think if it wasn't for the heavy rain storms that pruned the trees, I could have missed the gift.  There is always more going on than meets the eye.  The best is yet to come.

Have a peaceful, loving day with the angels. Watch for angel messages that cross your path today. You are never alone.  God loves you always.

Love,

Rae Karen
