As when the rainbow, opposite the sun
A thousand intermingled colors throws.
With saffron wings then dewy Iris flies
Through heaven's expanse, a thousand varied dyes
Extracting from the sun, opposed in place.
--Virgil (70-19 B.C.)
After the much needed rainfall over the past week, it was a wonderful gift to see a rainbow.
One of the most widely held traditional beliefs is that the rainbow is a bridge between heaven and earth, between the divine realm and the human world. It is a symbol of hope, peace, and brotherhood. Because a rainbow most often follows a thunderstorm, its unexpected colorful appearance represents a sign of peace after a conflict. A new beginning.
Enjoy your day with the Angels.
Love and blessings,
Karen
