The angels of nature delivered a message yesterday. It was a tall straight stick that had a fork prong on the tip. It brought to mind a special rescue many years ago.
While living on a farm out in rural Virginia Beach, I'd found a cute little tree frog trapped inside our large garbage can one evening. He had been waiting near the top, suction fingers stuck on the hall wall of the big container. I found a short stick on the ground, and told him to hop on it. I would take him to great freedom. He took a leap, but in the opposite direction and disappeared in a sea of black plastic trash bags.
The sun was going down, and I couldn't just shut the lid on him. To leave it wide open was an invitation to all kinds of critters. An angel thought came to find a long stick. I'd asked for their help and soon I had the perfect rescue tool. A tall straight stick with pronged twigs.
Not wanting to crush him, I again asked the angels for support. I stuck the stick down inside the deep trash bin. To my delight I easily hooked the top plastic bag. Fishing it slowly out, soon it was high enough for me to get a look.
I let out a laugh. My little treefrog was clinging to that very bag, riding it up like a gentleman on an elevator. It seemed too easy to be true, but he stayed on. Carefully I placed the bag by the old walnut tree. Instead of taking off, he stubbornly clung to the trash bag. Only when gently prodded did he take off on a new adventure.

That little frog was a teacher of mine. Sometimes we may feel like our life has been trashed; we're stuck with no way out, but the lesson of the treefrog is to do our best to get above our problems. Expect an answer to come. F.R.O.G. is an acronym for Fully Rely On God. But let go of all your old garbage.
Several months later, as you can see, a little tree frog showed up on our front door. His hands looked like he was praying. I wondered if it was the same one I helped who had returned to give me a message to Fully Rely on God.
So whatever you may be dealing with, don't lose faith. Keep thoughts on high. God is the answer.
