Reflection of a Trumpet Swan: An Angel Message

I love this image of the trumpet swan gliding in sync with its beautiful reflection.  I'd been reading the greatest lesson one can ever learn is to be at peace,--no matter what.  When the waters are calm, we can see our true reflection. But when stirred by negative emotions, we splash about lacking clarity, and easily get off course.

Today we can know that whatever may come up, we will not lose our peace. We can choose to go within and be still.  To call on the angels for help in maintaining balance.  Peace is not dependent on outer circumstances, but it comes from a deep stillness within.

The stillness of the peace of God is mine.

Later, I looked up the spiritual message of swan:

"Swan brings a message to rise up to the highest levels of your world of senses, open your bright eyes, and have courage for the highest spiritual experiences."

Love and joyful blessings,

Super Slug: An Angel Message

Only one strange visitor came to our house for Halloween, I discovered this slug on our front porch door early the next morning. A day late for trick or treating, but on time for All Saints' Day, I wondered about his message. I hurried to investigate, knowing it must have something to do with moving too slow. To my surprise, in my Animal-Speak Pocket Guide,  slug symbolizes move to the light.  "No shortcuts exist right now.   Illumination is at hand.  Appearances are deceiving, but you have found your path."

More research revealed the slug is a member of the snail family without a shell.  It turns out to be an ancient divination tool often considered sacred.  Its slimy trail was guidance in the direction of life decisions.  This one was upside down...

The slug is also related to the letter yud in the Hebrew alphabet, both are shaped similarly.  When the slug appears, we are opening to receive a higher vision.  A new path is opening. We are setting an intention to accept change in our life.

This slug is the first I've seen in Florida.  When nature poses in the most unlikely manner, and especially appears at our front door, it can be enlightening to explore the significance. With all the global challenges as well as personal trials, I believe each of us is moving through the darkness into the light of a new path.

Have a joyful day with the Angels.

A Window: Opening to Angels

                                 (Photo: Wikimedia Commons)

I love the symbolism of this sign posted by the  cheerful window at this Inn.  The angel is blowing a horn, a wake-up call to a new day.   Webster's dictionary defines window as an opening in the wall of a building for admission of light..."   When we invite the angels into our experience, it is like creating  a window in the wall of old stony, concrete thinking.  Sunshine and fresh ideas can pour in, bringing joy and gratitude to our daily schedule.  Going it alone, without any conscious awareness of the angelic realm, is like stumbling in the dark to find a way.  Today the angel message is to open a window and see things in a new light.  Whatever may be going on, the angels are present. They can arouse humanity from the sleep of forgetfulness of our spiritual heritage.  They will  awaken you to your highest calling, your heart's desire, using all of your precious gifts you came to share with the world.

Isn't that a lovely way to wake up each morning...

Love and joyful blessings,

More Turtles on the Path... An Angel Message

                       (Timothy, our new garden turtle)

Yesterday afternoon the Angel of Spontaneity guided us to Lowe's Garden Center.  In search of privacy fencing, we got sidetracked by a large shipment of turtle statues. Turns out, a herd of them had just arrived and were on display in abundance around the Center. They decorated the rows of colorful flowers.

An irresistible deal at $30, it seemed it was meant to be, especially with all the turtle synchronicity on our path since the New Year began.

The cashier smiled, "What's his name?" The young woman had watched earlier as we tried to select the perfect one.

"Timothy," I said, surprised at how quickly the answer came. (A helpful turtle in one of my children's stories.)   "You know the turtle won the race," I said.  "So, it's a good reminder to have around."

"Come on, Timothy," a brawny helper said, standing by to help. Lifting the heavy turtle up on his shoulder, he smiled. "Slow and steady, that's the way to go." He effortlessly carried Timothy out to our car.

At home, Elliot came up with an idea.  Mom's large suitcase in the closet had wheels.  So we tucked Timothy inside and slowly carted him to his rightful spot. Now I can look out from the den and see him in the meditation garden. "Keep on persevering, you'll successfully finish the race, too."  His encouraging message is important to keep in mind.

Enjoy your Angels, and watch for their loving kindness.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

P.S. In the Far East, the shell was a symbol of heaven and the square underside a symbol of earth.  The turtle could help you unite heaven and earth within your own life.  A symbol of the turtle was an invitation for the blessings of both heaven and earth.  (Animal-Speak, Ted Andrews)

Look for the Blessings, A Daily Review: An Angel Message

The Meditation Garden Early this morning

This morning when I stepped outside to feed Theo, our love cat, the sunlight was so beautiful beaming through the trees that I had to hurry inside and get my camera.  The angels were reminding me to count my blessings.  Just recently I was guided to a evening exercise.  It went like this:  Before going to bed, in your mind's eye, review the events of the day and assess how well you did.  Did you let the day's irritations and upsets block out the view of all the blessings that were before your eyes? Were you so caught up in dwelling on the negativity that you missed them?   If so, tomorrow be more aware to look for all the blessings that are right there waiting for you to notice.  Thoughts are energy, you attract what you think. Review the blessings that you took for granted.

The second part of that exercise is to look on actions you personally took that could have been kinder and more loving toward others. Did you zing someone with a barb, or maybe you judged another not recognizing that very fault within yourself.  The daily review is not to make you feel guilty, but to  be more vigilant for doing better next time. Send that person a silent blessing.

The third part is what I like best.  To let the Light of the Christ shine into your heart and mind, clearing the slate for a brighter tomorrow.

This evening examination was just what I needed to practice. The view on the left side of our meditation garden had shifted drastically several weeks ago when a neighbor cut back a beautiful old tree in another neighbor's yard.  Looking at this photo this morning, I got it.   I have a choice as to which way I look.  I still love that old tree next door that had given us a shade of comfort and privacy, but I can turn and face the direction that gives me the most peace now, and that is always toward the Light.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen
