While on a mini-vacation, I asked the angels for help in finding the right pictures. Christmas was in the air at St. Augustine Beach yesterday. I was in for a surprise when zooming in on a surfer. Was he really wearing a Santa Claus hat! That was a first... Not sure I was seeing correctly, I snapped a second pic.
Uploading the photos back at home, I laughed. There he was like Santa's elf paddling out to catch the big waves. Filled with the Christmas spirit, he had gifted me with a photo op.
Another photo op didn't look very promising this morning. Just before sunrise a light drizzle seemed to confirm the prediction for rain today. But with a burst of enthusiasm, Elliot and I hurried down to the shore in hopes of catching a sunrise. We waited...
Before long, the sand, the surf, and the sea were diffused in a soft glow of pink.
And, the sun made a glorious debut, crowning the day with Light. Like most things, I've found if we can keep moving forward in joy, expecting the best, it will happen eventually. But like that dedicated surfer, we have to be willing to keep at it.
Enjoy your day with the Angels.
Love and joyful blessings,
