Yesterday evening a rainbow appeared out of a cloud, without any rain. It glistened, growing brighter...
And, with a little imagination, when the cloud thinned out, it took on the shape of a big-eyed dolphin.
The timing was good as another couple had parked by the lake. When we pointed out the rainbow, they got out of their car to take a photo. We had a rainbow connection, making new friends. As it turned out, they live in the same community a few miles away.
A rainbow signifies hope, and God's promise to humankind. Everyone can use hope right now with all the chaos in the world. It is a time to stand on the promises of Psalm 91. Angels are with us to comfort, protect, and guide. Psalm 91 offers assurance that if we abide under the wings of the Almighty, like a baby chick seeks refuge under the sheltering wings of its mother, we will be helped in time of trouble. Not only delivered, but set on High. A glorious promise.
The best is yet to come. Don't ever give up believing, and you will pass every test, with patience and obedience.
