Happy Earth Day: An Angel Message

Prayer is often the last resort, and in hindsight, we wonder why?  Why not take it from the top, to the Most High, rather than try to fix a problem at the lowest level. Meeting it in the spiritual realm holds the answer. Then healing will be reflected in the physical.

Nature is always teaching by example.  Several years ago, the water level at our favorite lake was at an all-time low, way below the 7-foot marker.

So low, a private dock looked like a wooden scaffold extended high above a dry pond of  tall reeds.   A grassy barrier was creeping in, creating two small bodies of water.  The lake, home to the sandhill cranes, ducks, herons, turtles, and fish, was shrinking.

Praying and recognizing the angel of the lake brought amazing results.  And it didn't happen overnight, it took many people working together to clean up the waters, dredging, and uprooting encroaching vegetation.  But something amazing happened, nature came and replenished the waters naturally without a single hurricane.

The 7-foot marker is now deeply submerged. The lake overflowing and expansive.  So much so, this tree, that once stood on dry land, now has roots anchored in the deep.

During the winter, I wondered if it could survive, and prayed for resurrection, not really sure there was much hope. With water up to its waist, I didn't expect much, but was hopeful.

I wasn't disappointed.

To my delight, the water-logged tree is budding in springtime.  A testimony to new life, she wears a coat of bright leafy green.  She stood tall in glory on Easter morning at a sunrise service at the lake.  A sandhill family, ducks, and bubbling fish joined in the celebration of Life. And, the sun broke through the clouds, as a soloist sang praises.

Hallelujah!

"And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; nor whatsoever he doesth shall prosper."  Psalm 1

So if you're feeling overwhelmed, and thinking the odds are against you, remember the testimony of this amazing tree.  Nothing is impossible with God.  Look up in faith, pray, and live one day at a time.  Victory is assured in Christ.  All is well.

Happy Earth Day!

Love and peace,
