Being Attentive to Life

The moment one gives close attention to anything,
even a blade of grass, it becomes a
mysterious, awesome, indescribably
magnificent world in itself.
~Henry Miller

I never stopped to think about attentiveness as being a spiritual power that can bring peace and joy to my life.  Life is a fascinating mystery.  When I pay close attention to the wonder of things, wholly present in the moment of now, I get a feeling that I am living, instead of being lived by my ego.

The part of my mind that constantly questions and analyzes slips away and a higher consciousness takes hold that translates the mundane into the divine without any help from my intellect.  These moments are waiting for me to pause and fully accept where I am in the now.  Right now my cat, Angel, is sitting on top of the printer waiting for her treat.

By being attentive to everything we do, adds a sweetness to life.  Everything has value, everything wonderfully created by God.

Love and blessings,
