The Meditation Garden Early this morning
This morning when I stepped outside to feed Theo, our love cat, the sunlight was so beautiful beaming through the trees that I had to hurry inside and get my camera. The angels were reminding me to count my blessings. Just recently I was guided to a evening exercise. It went like this: Before going to bed, in your mind's eye, review the events of the day and assess how well you did. Did you let the day's irritations and upsets block out the view of all the blessings that were before your eyes? Were you so caught up in dwelling on the negativity that you missed them? If so, tomorrow be more aware to look for all the blessings that are right there waiting for you to notice. Thoughts are energy, you attract what you think. Review the blessings that you took for granted.
The second part of that exercise is to look on actions you personally took that could have been kinder and more loving toward others. Did you zing someone with a barb, or maybe you judged another not recognizing that very fault within yourself. The daily review is not to make you feel guilty, but to be more vigilant for doing better next time. Send that person a silent blessing.
The third part is what I like best. To let the Light of the Christ shine into your heart and mind, clearing the slate for a brighter tomorrow.
This evening examination was just what I needed to practice. The view on the left side of our meditation garden had shifted drastically several weeks ago when a neighbor cut back a beautiful old tree in another neighbor's yard. Looking at this photo this morning, I got it. I have a choice as to which way I look. I still love that old tree next door that had given us a shade of comfort and privacy, but I can turn and face the direction that gives me the most peace now, and that is always toward the Light.
Enjoy your day with the Angels.
Love and blessings,
Rae Karen
