Last week I found time to rest with my back against an old cypress tree at nearby Lake Helen. A view of the tranquil water, blue sky, and a cool breeze were just what my soul needed. I sat on knobby "knee" roots sticking up from the soil and leaned into a quiet time of reflection.
Later looking up the symbolism of the cypress tree, I learned it is a tree of mourning. With a birthday and Mother's Day coming up--my first without Mom--I was so thankful for the angels' guidance.
A message from the cypress tree on the web described my healing. "The cypress recalls the freedom of the forest and invites you to leave your attachments behind, settle in a quiet place and be free."
The weekend although different from the past proved to be loving and fun, thanks to the inspiration of the angels.
Love and joyful blessings,
Rae Karen
