Swan: Angel Message

As a child, I loved The Ugly Duckling story by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. As the story goes, a small  bird born in a barnyard is badly treated by the others around him until he matures into the most beautiful bird of all, a swan.  An inspiring tale of personal transformation, swan is a symbol of awakening the true beauty and power of the Self.  Not only seeing it in ourselves, but recognizing it in others. 

This morning on our walk what a surprise to see a beautiful white swan gracefully glide through the rippled lake. I've seen cormorant, heron, duck, ibis, but a swan at the park, not ever. They don't like hot weather, but here it was accompanied by another northern bird I'd yet to see in Florida-- a Canadian Goose. 




At home, I learned that when swan appears, it can signal that magical realms are opening up, but you must trust and follow your true Self and your creativity.  New opportunities will be coming your way.  The Canada Goose is a signal to heed the call to the quest. To follow your heart...
