Don't Panic, Just Float... An Angel Message

Sometimes it may seem as though one is hopelessly entangled in a great many false beliefs:  fear, sickness, guilt, and discouragement are binding.  Freedom seems to avail itself to everyone else, and struggle as he may, it eludes him completely.

Recently a helpful story illustrated this point. Two friends had gone swimming in the ocean.  When a considerable distance from the beach, one became enmeshed in seaweed that severely hampered his ability to move.  So entangled did he become that he feared for his life.  He struggled with the weed to kick it from him, desperately trying to free himself, but to no avail.  The harder he fought, the more determined did it cling around him.  Becoming fearful, he shouted to his companion for help.  His friend advised him to stop struggling and stay calm, to just float, letting the waves carry away the obstruction.  He tried this plan and found that it worked, for quite soon all the seaweed had washed away.

This experience reminded me of how often fear tempts us to become more and more involved in difficulties.  How fear urges us to fight, wrestle and wrangle...only to find we become even more entangled in false, erroneous beliefs.  Tired and discouraged, at last the divinely inspired angel message comes:  "Wait patiently for divine Love to move upon the waters of mortal mind and form the perfect concept.  Patience must have her perfect work."

Floating in a sea of confidence and faith, the pure flow of God's infinite love washes away whatever had us in a grip.  God is the director of our life... we can relax...float in the truth of divinity.  Divine Love will always make a way. God is Love.

Love and peace,

Chill and Be Still: Angel Message

The angels want us to know that when things heat up, don't react.  The problem is never the problem. It's  our attitude regarding the problem that's the problem.  When we can willingly meet a situation, with any measure of acceptance--no matter how small--it's a healing step forward.  By not resisting but allowing, our reactive energy that would have ignited the issue dissipates to the degree that we can just let things be as they are.

Now, the angels know it's not easy for us to move into a state of acceptance.  It goes beyond our comfort zone or our need to be right, but by calling on them for assistance, grace comes to take the place where error would have us be. We find a lifting and a lightening of our "load."   These tests are here to help us transform our lower nature.  A test of patience. They become a blessing when we can rise above the 3-D consciousness of the problem, and see the bigger picture at play. Then we can attune to divine wisdom and take the next step in faith and grace.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

Patience and Perserverance: Angel Message

Blessed are those who wait.
The globe whistles past them.
The sharpest bit of the world
doesn't deter their gaze
from the promised direction.
--Ulla Hahn

Time, space, and patience are all inter-related. "Infinite patience brings immediate effects." I'm learning more and more that when I'm patient and loving, time seems to slow down. And what is mine to do will get done in this space of physical existence.

I grabbed the dictionary to look up the word patient:  "Bearing pains or trials calmly or without complaint; steadfast despite opposition, difficulty, or adversity."

Years ago,  I often asked God to give me patience! My impatience was a sure sign I didn't have any.   Then a friend heard me and commented, never pray for patience.  For it implies that you need to practice patience and many opportunities will be given to learn patience. It's better to give thanks daily that you already have patience.  I took that advice to heart...life is trying enough without putting in an order to receive more patience.

Over the past years, we've enjoyed watching three generations of sandhill cranes neighbors raise their colts and then take to the sky.  A joyful sight to watch the family fly in formation after four or five months of patience, waiting for the young to grow their wings.

These long-legged, stately birds are a remnant of prehistoric times. Intense amber-orange glowing eyes, long sharp beak,  a red heart-shaped mask. Often they sidle me as I sweep the front walk with my long handled broom.  When I happen to look up, I'm startled.  "Oh, there you are."

I tried something different this week, broke the usual morning routine to enjoy the fresh air before it got too hot.  The little prayer garden was long neglected and needed some tender loving care.  Rooting around in the soil in the shade of the palms was both healing and renewing.  Sinking your fingers into Mother Earth is my way of staying in the now.  Weeding, watering, planting, transitioning the old and bringing in the new to create a little patch of beauty. A quick trip to the garden center added a finishing touch. Eight bushy pentas in star-clusters of white or pink. Tired old planters were refreshed with new life.  Sweat poured off my brow as I returned to the house to admire the view from the living room window.

What happened next was a big test of patience.  The newly restored garden was being uprooted by the young crane.  Pecking up and down, his sharp bill hammered freshly potted pentas by the bird bath.

Trying not to huff,  I hurried out and put in the correction, packing the flowers back down in the planter. The cranes are usually calm and deliberate, drinking from the bird bath or pecking in the grass for bugs or seed.  The incident was forgotten... until on a mail run that afternoon.  What a shock! Pink pentas were strewn on the lawn, gasping in the hot sun. Thankfully, still intact, I quickly moved the bunch to a safer place far from the beak of a pesty gardener.

I wondered why the pentas?  His behavior resulted in a search on-line. The name penta comes from the word pente which means a succession of five, and these plants have clusters of five-petaled flowers and are often named star flower.
I was grateful for the angel message.  Sandhill cranes are spiritual guardians... and this new year coming up is about the number 5, which is expansion.  Our consciousness is rising up from the earth, expanding to the stars.  The best is yet to be.

Peace and love,

While You Are Waiting: An Angel Message

Cranes and storks are symbolic of new birth...new life.  Waiting can be one of the hardest things to do but I'm learning to let go and just appreciate each moment in gratitude.  I didn't realize how far I'd come until earlier this week.  On our way to the grocery store, Elliot stopped off at Ace Hardware to grab an item while I waited in the car.  A beautiful clear morning, I took in the sights around me.  Our local store has heart...a spindly tree in the parking lot is decorated with bird feeders.  I happened to look up at the tree top and was surprised to see the profile of a sandhill crane carved naturally by the tree itself!  The narrow large beak, big eyes and elongated neck seemed like an answer to a prayer as I've been on a quest to find unusual trees.

A blanket of peace enfolded me...and I lost track of the time.  Two little wrens landed on the feeder, keeping me entertained.

Elliot was surprised to find me at peace as he apologized for taking so long.  The cashier was hung up on the computer, and so he, too, had an opportunity to practice peace and patience.

Enjoy your day with the angels.

Love and peace,

Ants on Infinite Patience: Angel Messages

Something amusing happened recently with nature.  My husband, Elliot, called out me out of the house, “You HAVE to see what the ants have built in our driveway!”

Since ants represent PATIENCE and community, curiously I went outside to take a look.

What do you see? He asked as we stared at the pavement.

I laughed.  In the moment, it did seem as though nature had sent an intentional message with the sands of time.   For near our parked car in the driveway, the industrious ant community had laboriously created a bold large number 8!

Eight is a symbol for infinity when viewed sideways.  Was it a call for infinite patience?  I sighed, admitting my patience was running a little thin at times these days.

But the message was timely and perfectly orchestrated.  As synchronicity played out (the language of angels) later that day, when we set out to go to the lake to cool off, the car wouldn't start.  The battery was dead.

With the ants' heads-up, we counted our blessings.  "Infinite patience brings immediate effects." We weren't stranded in the blazing heat of August.  It had happened at home—we could wait inside the A/C house for AAA Auto Service.

Within an hour, a service rep appeared with a brand new battery.  Elliot made a new friend, and we were on the road to the lake again.

I recalled a passage in A Course in Miracles.  “Now you must learn that only infinite patience produces immediate effects.  This is the way in which time is exchanged for eternity."

It hit me in a new way, this idea of an exchange program through the medium of infinite patience. The key to eternity, Infinite Love.

Also this passage was helpful. “Delay does not matter in eternity, but it is tragic in time.  You have elected to be in time rather than eternity, and therefore believe you are in time."

These days are filled with many opportunities to exchange infinite patience and compassion…in TIME, if I can take a breath and still my mind, and remember to choose LOVE with the help of the Holy Spirit.

“Doubts are the ants in the pants of faith.

They keep it awake and moving.”

               --Frederick Buechner

Doubts like ants keep us building our spiritual muscle, digging deeper within, to come up higher in FAITH.   Angels are helping during this celestial speed-up.  Keep trusting the best is yet to be.  We are spiritual beings of light awakening to our true God-given identity.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

The Turtle Angel

Photo by William Warby  from Wikimedia
Yesterday while sitting by the lake, with time to spare before going to a meeting,  I was surprised when a mother pulled up on the boat ramp in her pickup truck.  Curiously, I watched her young daughter try to carry a large plastic storage bin down to the water. It was almost as large as she was.  Mom helped out, and her little brother tagged along behind them to the lake.  When they tipped the clear box on its side, I could see a really big turtle, waiting to gain his freedom.   I never saw one move so fast.  In a matter of seconds, he was happily swimming back home again.

When the family returned to the truck, I commented on the speed of the turtle.  The mom smiled. "We live way over there," she pointed down the road. When they came home, he was waiting in the carport. Quickly they rounded him up in the storage bin and brought him here.

"He knew which house to go to,"  I said, recognizing a turtle angel when I see one.  (Even a turtle sometimes needs help getting home.)

"He sure did!" She grinned. They all piled into the truck and took off, happy to be of service.

The turtle is a perfect symbol of patience and endurance which has been a major theme this week.  It's comforting to know that unseen help can suddenly show up to deliver us to our destination.  We just need to follow our inner-guidance.

The synchronicity with the angels is really picking up.   Later, entering a store on a whim, imagine my surprise to hear voices singing, "I believe in angels" on the sound system. "What?" The timing made me light-headed.  "I believe.  I believe." I laughed, thankful for the loving reminder.  It's so true that what we focus on, we attract.

Enjoy your day with the Angels and open your heart to receive their love and light.  You'll be glad that you invited them into your life.

Blessings,

Karen
