Yesterday a sweet mourning dove rested on the rim of the birdbath. Nature had provided a special way for her to keep warm in the cold winter air. I've never seen such a big dove. She kept her perch through the afternoon, facing the sun. Her peaceful presence made me smile as I couldn't help but notice the dove had been equipped to handle the extreme drop in temperature. As you can see, by puffing out her thick breast feathers, her body became insulated like a downy ski jacket.
Sometimes we don't know what we've got, until we really need it. Then the answer pops up from within. God has equipped us to handle every problem if we still our minds, find peace, hunker down, and listen for inner guidance.
