Just in Time: An Angel Message

Divine timing is amazing...the little angel nudges  to go there and do this can often lend a helping hand at a time of desperate need.  The day after my birthday, I went to the kitchen for a snack in the afternoon (which I never do).  Standing at the sink, I looked out the window.  By the garage, a good distance away, the garden pond was swirling like an eddy.  An animal was drowning, fighting for its life.

We ran out to help.  A large gopher tortoise was thrashing in the water!  Elliot grabbed a small yellow garden rake, and scooped the heavy-domed tortoise up high in the air and placed him on the sidewalk.  Frightened it looked like an oversized brown football.  Arms, legs and head  tucked inside its hard shell for protection.

We waited, hoping for the best.  Before long, it popped back into shape.. and paused to catch its breath and get centered...recalculate before moving forward.

It was unsettling... The large tortoise apparently fought hard to keep his head out of water, clawing at the slippery plastic walls to get back to dry land. No telling how long he'd been trying his best, but I was grateful for the spectacle in the pond that sent me running for help. Tortoises are terrestrial, and unlike turtles, they will drown in water. Their skeletal structure is made to burrow down deep in the earth with powerful shovel claws to build tunnels where other animals may live, too.  A community.

Was this my old friend Timothy who made an appearance on my birthday after a long absence? Thank goodness, he was safe on dry land back where he belonged.  We happily watched that big wet helmet glisten in the sunlight as Timothy headed toward the dry land of home.   "Have a nice life," I called out, thankful the angels got my attention and I was at the right place at the right time to make a difference.

The following day synchronicity was at play while shopping for a birthday gift from a friend.  I laughed at the timing.  Really? A bronze-like gopher tortoise with a wide-eyed frog passenger clinging to its domed back. A wonderful symbol of the angel rescue. The old garden pond where the tortoise scaled the rocks and slipped in happens to be where tiny tadpoles transform into happy frogs.  And, frog always remind me of the acronym Fully Rely on God.  F.R.O.G. it.

Have a happy day, and remember you are never alone.  God has given his angels charge over you... fully rely on God, and expect the best.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

Where is Your Focus? An Angel Message

Last week the word “FOCUS” became a discipline for me after a friend commented on how often we focus on our faults or shortcomings rather than our true identity, the inherent spiritual perfection that God created each of us to be.

FOCUS.  Determined, I  looked up the definition in Webster's dictionary. "Focus – a state or condition permitting clear perception or understanding; adjustment for distinct vision."

Setting a clearer  intention on "focus", an image of binoculars suddenly came to mind. What lens am I looking through?

Whether near or far, the object remains unchangeable in reality.

With that symbol as an anchor, I tried to pay closer attention and focus on all love and goodness that is always in and around me and others. To see God's Love, and not my own limited beliefs about myself and others that sometimes blur my vision.

Focus.

Then something amusing happened on Father’s Day. Synchronicity was at play and the angels were at work.  Elliot and I made a quick food run to help stock up the community cupboard.  As I wheeled the shopping cart down one aisle, I came to a surprising halt.

On display was this large F.R.O.G. gazing through gold-rimmed binoculars!  Laughing, I looked twice. Thought had expanded into expression, and I learned a lesson.  We get what we focus on!  Hah!

Now I've seen lots of frog statues, but this garden frog was a first.  And, since F.R.O.G. is the acronym for (F)ully (R)ely (O)n (G)od, what a perfect image for seeing with the eyes of God!

Fully Rely on God.  I got it! But you know it wasn’t until the pic was uploaded that I happened to notice the truncated blue butterfly LOVE rock also on display.  A gentle reminder to make an adjustment for distinct vision.  To focus more on keeping LOVE entirely in the big picture.

Love is all around us, always.

Joyful blessings,

Rae Karen
