Let Nothing Disturb You: Angel Message

Taking an early morning walk on August 1, Elliot and I were in for a surprise.  A special message from the angels of nature.  A rare yet funny spectacle.

Our missing Black-Bellied Whistling duck duo suddenly appeared!  Out of the blue, wings unfurled in the sunlight, they circled above the over-flow pond at the end of the driveway. Whistling loud and circling round and round we cheered them on.

I laughed when this fellow landed above me on the cable cord. Webbed feet trying to hold on as he tried to stay balanced on high,  posing for a photo op! I got the angel message right away. It happened only once before many years ago during the lock-down.

Smiling up, I thanked him for the reminder.  To keep my thoughts and speech on high when communicating...and not drop down to earth and get caught up in human drama.  Don't quack--just give a little whistle and always let your conscience be your guide.

I laughed as somehow he managed to turn around making sure I got his best side.

Over the years, I've learned that when an animal, flower, tree, bird, bug, fish--whatever--crosses your path in a significant way to pay  attention to the angel message conveyed in that special moment.  What was the behavior? What characteristics pop up regarding the messenger?  What were you thinking about at the time? Is it mirroring an inner issue?  Try to be still and listen for inner guidance.

I love whistling ducks...and our couple no longer stop by the garden anymore.  So the sight of that  happy whistling duck trying to maintain balancing on the high wire was an angel heads-up.  And it had to do with communications...on the wire...keep thoughts on high.  His humorous stance helped me pass my tests later that day when caught by a surprising situation over the phone.  A funny imprint of that zany duck came to mind and the daring high wire act.  I kept my communications on high, guarded my tongue, and maintained balance and harmony, not making a spectacle of myself.

Also, earlier that morning I'd wanted a photo of the July Buck (Male Deer) Full Moon, but wispy clouds shrouded her glow.  But out of the blue, when the whistling duck pic was uploaded, I let out a laugh.  The full Buck moon like a white rubber ball was below the duck in a clear blue sky.  What do I know?   Sometimes things don't work out like we planned, but the results can be more meaningful when we let go and see.  Like that old adage, Love comes softly...

Let nothing disturb you, nothing alarm you; while all things fade away God is unchanging.  Be patient and you will gain everything; for with God in your heart nothing is lacking. God meets your every need.
                                                                                                                                          St. Teresa of Avila

How blessed we are to be in the presence of God's angels always.  The more we pay attention, the clearer the communication, and the closer we feel the touch of their loving companionship.

Love and peace,
