Amaryllis: An Angel Message

Our dear elderly friend Hawk, now an angel, always gave us an amaryllis for Christmas.  I loved the expectancy of waiting for that drab brown bulb to grow and blossom.  Several weeks ago, I spotted this one at the Garden Center in town.  "Thank you, Hawk," I smiled, putting the red foiled pot in the cart.

Ripe with promise, I placed it in the sunlight by the dining room window, and kept the soil moist.  It grew like an arrow,  straight and tall.  Slowly the tip began to expand.

This morning, a cheerful bloom had opened wide to greet the new day.  With more beauty to come, three other blossoms are waiting in the wings.  What joy to witness the natural rhythm of life.  Everything blooms on time, faith and love are the necessary ingredients.  Because of the amaryllis' tall height and sturdy stem, this beautiful flower symbolizes strength and determination. A living symbol of love and ethereal beauty for all those you love and care for.  And, Mary, is in the name, Amaryllis!

Merry Christmas to you, and to our loved ones here and in the heavenly realm.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen
