Early this cold morning while on my way down the garden path to write in my journal at the table by the camphor tree, I had a rare encounter. My sudden appearance had startled a bushy tailed, long legged animal with big ears. Light footed, he scurried down the path towards the old orange tree at the far corner of the yard.
Immediately fox came to mind! His long bushy tail had patches of black and silvery fur. Now I understood why Gus, our stray cat, hadn't shown up early yesterday for breakfast. He had competition at the buffet. Today I had decided to wait for that lovable orange tabby to make an appearance before bringing out a fresh bowl of chow.
A fox! I marveled. Here in the neighborhood! I felt a rush of magic in the garden. Foxes are nocturnal, moving about silently without making their presence known. They are masters at the art of camouflage. The timing was interesting as yesterday the angel blog had ended on a note to pay attention to any unusual encounters with animals that cross your path. What are they doing when you see them?
So here at dawn a lone fox had come out of hiding in search of food, I presume, as he was retreating from the patio where I usually put out a bowl of cat nuggets. Fox teaches a lesson in blending in with your surroundings, to come and go without being noticed, without revealing your intentions. Fox also symbolizes guiding the feminine creative forces. The message it brings is that if you focus on creative energies, then at the sharp turns in life, you will be able to navigate them with ease.
With the many sharp turns we have all had to face this year, I welcome the reminder to focus on sharing our creative energies to make the world a better place. Thoughts are things so choose wisely how you color your world.
Enjoy your day with the Angels.
Love and joyful blessings,
Rae Karen
