What fun to sing carols to get into the spirit of Christmas. Our local newspaper delivered a songbook tucked in with the news. It was exactly what I needed. Sitting on the sofa, alone, I felt free to belt out childhood favorites. By the time I'd finished, I had a rush of joy, and had learned a few new verses to those old songs, like the final one in O Christmas Tree.

You tell us all to faithful be. And trust in God eternally.
