Time Out with the Angels

A friend gifted me with this artwork when I was getting ready to start a new chapter of my life. I had been working for the Federal government for over twenty years. A picture being worth a thousand words, it seemed to speak of taking a rest. What needed a rest the most was my mind. The Angels encourage us to sit and rest from our earthly thoughts. When we allow for a moment's repose, to be still and listen, inspiration comes. It is always with us, that still quiet Voice, but often not so readily heard above the incessantly loud chatter of the ego. The ego is a distraction trying to figure out the future or reliving the past. When we are in our ego mind we are really in a dead space. The eternal now is where we want to be, enjoying and observing each moment as it comes. It's okay not to know all the answers. The questions must be lived one day at a time, allowing the answer to unfold. The best way for that to happen is to get out of our own way and let God be God. And to remember we are never alone, no matter how distracted we become.

Bless the Lord, ye his angels,
that excel in strength, that do his
commandments, hearkening unto
the voice of his word.
Psalm 103

Angelic blessings,

Karen
