This morning while searching for a gift card to send to our three-year-old granddaughter, I had a surprise. My notecards are stashed in a peacock decorative box. The inner lid liner had come unglued and covered the cards. On the cardboard insert, I saw the glue had left an imprint of the Christ fish!
The peacock feathery "eyes" have long been a symbol of watchfulness, resurrection and wise vision. In Christianity the peacock was a symbol of the death and resurrection of Jesus. In Egypt, it was associated with the all seeing eye of Horus.
I had to smile at this unexpected discovery. Christ is the glue. "In Him we live and move and have our being."
Love and joyful blessings,
Rae Karen
