Last week at the lake, I watched a soft, white feather put on a show. Gently, the little white feather spun round and round, twirling in the warm sunlight. A happy dance of joy down the concrete boat ramp, she tumbled to the water's edge.
A sudden gust of wind.
Into the cold water, she plunged with a splash.
I had a sinking feeling she was a goner.
But to my surprise, she sprang back up in great shape. It looked as if her snowy feather was curled up like the sail on a boat--ready for action. I smiled, watching her freely and easily sail the lake, taking new flight. Unsinkable. I was reminded of an inspiring quote. One that I try to picture myself when I need to surrender...and let go and let God.
"I am a feather on the breath of God." Hildegard von bingen
White feathers are a symbol of angelic help.  Feathers have been long associated with wind, the mind, and new flights, and most of all our Creator.  A bird's wings and feathers make it a part of heaven.  Every feather is a gift and a promise.
A white feather is a gift from heaven.  A loving symbol to have more faith in the Spirit than in the flesh. The best is yet to be.  Do not be deceived by appearances.  Love more and fear less... And, you are never alone... You can never be separated from the love of God. He has sent His angels to watch over you. I thank God for the angels in our lives, and their tireless service and dedication.
Love and peace,
Rae Karen
