Look at my tree friend arrayed in a brand new coat of lacy green leaves. A living testimony to the power of faith in action. Endurance in adversity. You may recall this amazing tree went through a major change in environment after the hurricanes a few years ago that flooded the lake in depth and width. No longer on dry land, her trunk was steeped in deep waters up to her waist. Now marshy grasses gather round about her, but her roots are four feet under still anchored in the earth.
To be honest, this spring, my tree friend was slow to return...and I sadly assumed she had moved on to greener pastures. The winter freeze had been too much, so I thought, thanking her for teaching me the power of enduring, making the best of a drastic change in her living conditions. A job well done... but I was mistaken.
So you can imagine my surprise, the next time I visited the lake, there she was! A glowing vision of endurance. Arms opened wide as if to say, I'm back! Don't give up. The best is yet to be.
And, it seems fitting a short time later, these white wispy clouds looked like angels jumping for joy!
Whatever you may be going through just now, and I don't really know anyone not facing a challenge of some kind, remember not to be deceived by appearances. You are greater than your circumstances. Call upon a loving power within you that will see you through to victory. God is Love. And angels are by your side always to help you along the way home.
Love and peace,
Rae Karen
