Maybe you've noticed how things once treasured are no longer really seen. They still adorn the walls, blending in, only now are taken for granted. I'm learning the angels will revive their presence by teaching a powerful lesson with that artifact, giving it greater meaning.
Like this vintage sculpted angel wreath in the dining room. It faithfully hangs near the Tiffany lamp switch I turn on each morning...without so much as a glance of gratitude. But today, I found myself studying the wreath looking for what I recalled was a cherub tenderly holding a bunny rabbit.
Yesterday morning on my way out to the porch with the birdseed, I stopped in my tracks. Was I seeing double?! Instead of the unusual lone rabbit, he had a companion. A tender sight to see a pair of cottontail rabbits communing at the start of a new day.
Rabbits are about new life, and new beginnings. They can make great leaps and hops... and easily shift gears from freezing to great acceleration. Like the rabbit, our life may not always move forward step by step, but in spurts of great leaps and hops.
Thanks to those lovable rabbits, the vintage angels of nature wreath took on new life. A wreath of angels encircles each day with nature and song. For me to look and expect to see evidence of their loving touches. The simple acts of love that often go unnoticed. To become more conscious of what's going on around me...to really pay attention to the things that are important. Love, peace, joy, and harmony--gifts that no one can take away unless I get distracted and look the other way. Each day is truly surrounded with a wreath of God's angels in celebration of divine Love. A call to new life.
Like Alice, we can follow the rabbit to Wonderland...and wake up to the Truth.
Love and peace,
Rae Karen
