A Wake Up Call: An Angel Message

I was up and about early this morning tending to the garden.  Last night our friend had given us a bucketful of plants he'd thinned out from his yard.  Little green leafy clusters of  bromeliads were thirsty and ready to be replanted.  In the quiet of the morning, I had fun creating space around an old fork-split tree branch that has an angel in the midst.  The universe abhors a vacuum.  Last weekend I'd shared a tub of bromeliads with our next door neighbor...

With the planting done, I went on to spread Forget Me Not flower seeds around the birdbath. Then while spritzing the soil with the hose, I reached for a jasmine vine to drape it over the fence.

 Big mistake...

The next thing I knew, I'd lost control of the hose.  It shot out of my hand!  The power nozzle hit the ground on just the right angle to spray me.  If I wasn't fully awake, I was now!  A fast and steady stream of cold water squirted me in the face.  In a matter of seconds, my hair, jeans and tee shirt were drenched.  It happened so fast -- I was caught off-guard.  Wrestling with the spinning nozzle, I laughed at how ridiculous I must look, and felt even more humiliated. Afterwards, I took the baptism as an angel hint to come inside and take a real shower, which I did, leaving my wet clothes on the line in the laundry room.

Funny thing though, it wasn't until later that I remembered my angel card for today.  I'd selected at random earlier The Angel of Power.  Perhaps the hose incident was a lesson for us to remember to handle power gently or it will come back in our face, full force. Forget Me Not seeds were also meaningful as we can do nothing without the Christ.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and joyful blessings,
