Feathers: An Angel Message

Everything is connected to everything else.  All symbols and images that capture our attention in nature are personal.  It has a meaning that is unique to you.  What does it bring to mind?  How does it fit into what's happening around you?  What emotion, if any, does it invoke?  Trust your first impression.

It did seem like a whimsical dream yesterday morning as I watched a little white feather float down from above.   Elliot and I were having oatmeal on the patio by the old camphor tree when I happened to look up.   I grinned. "A feather!"  Laughing like two school kids, we watched it sail on the breeze and come to rest on the garden path.  "The angels are around," Elliot said.

What were the chances?  White feathers have always been a sign to me that the angels are with us. I was thankful for the message.

The morning was spent planting, mulching, and weeding the garden.  The weather was so beautiful  we decided to eat our Chinese carry out dinner on the patio with a friend.  When I saw him walking down the garden path holding up this large reddish feather glowing like a torch in the sunlight, the timing was amusing.  Feathers in the morning, feathers in the evening ...  Playfully, he presented it as a gift for me.  Remember these?  It's a quill, you dip the tip in ink to write.

Feathers were definitely in the air on Friday.  This morning I looked for the little white feather, but the wind must have carried it away on another adventure. The long reddish brown quill remains as a reminder to keep on writing about the angels. I wish I knew what kind of a bird it came from.  I'd like to think it was a red-tailed hawk. For fun, I looked up the meaning:  "The red of the tail reflects a greater intensity of energy at play within your life.  This bird is the catalyst, stimulating hope and new ideas.  It reflects a need to be open to the new, or shows you ways that you may help teach others to be open to the new."

Enjoy your day with the Angels, and have fun observing messages that come your way.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen
