Psalm 84: An Angel Blessing

(Virginia Beach Sunrise)

"The Lord is a sun and a shield..."  Psalm 84

Last week, while driving on the highway, my dear friend was entertaining thoughts of gratitude for the many blessings in her life.  Although the past year had been a time of major transformation, with the loss of her husband in the early part of 2011, she felt as if she'd gone through the tunnel of grief and darkness and had come out in the sunlight again.

In an attitude of thankfulness to God, she was soon at her exit off I-4.  Driving up the ramp, her serenity was interrupted when the large dump truck in front of her car began losing its load.  Some were big items.  Debris bounced to the right and and the left side of her car, but nothing touched it.

In amazement, she said, "It was as though a protective shield had been placed around her and her vehicle.  It didn't get even a scratch."  The experience was a reminder of a favorite Bible verse in Psalm 84:  "The Lord is a sun and a shield."

Joanna attributed her safety to the positive state of mind she'd been in right before it happened.  By entertaining angel thoughts of gratitude and love, a shield of grace had enfolded both her and her car. She watched in peace in the middle of chaos.

These are exciting times.  The more we keep our thoughts on high, the smoother and safer our ride will be.  Angels are real.  They constantly fill our mind with God's Thoughts of perfect harmony and love.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.
