Looking Deeper: An Angel Message

We are always learning and growing, peeling away hidden layers of judgment that pop up to be humbled and healed.  Something interesting unfolded in yesterday's mail. A postcard arrived all the way from Singapore.  At first glance, it was vague and drab, not much to brighten one's day.  But I was wrong. A closer look revealed a radiant young woman, as bright as the moon, standing on the precipice of a starry night.

But there was more. My new random postcard friend from Singapore had added a touch of creativity tucked away in an unusual and creative way.  A tiny paper crane had been folded behind a swatch of decorative tape on the back of the card!  Although the Singapore postage stamp got scraped off in transit, the hidden gift of a precious crane landed safely in our mailbox.  A 26-day journey that covered 10,318 miles and delivered a BIG smile of joyful gratitude.

Curious, our cat Hei-Hei sniffed the colorful winged messenger of creativity.

For fun, I looked up the symbolism of crane again and found the perfect message: "The crane can teach you how to celebrate your creative resources and keep them alive, regardless of the conditions in which they manifest, both by simply having the proper focus in your life."

The angels encourage everyone to let their creative ideas take flight today.  Have fun and share a little touch of heaven with others. After all, it is Love that inspires, illuminates and brings joy along the way.

Enjoy your day with the angels, and celebrate the little thoughtful things that make life sweet and precious.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

Don't Quit: Angel Message

Creativity is a flower
that praise brings to bloom
but discouragement often
nips it in the bud.

ALEX F. OSBORN

How many times have you been excited about a creative idea, and in that moment you felt as though nothing was impossible. You had clarity and a sense of purpose that you were being guided.  Then doubt wriggled in and slowly eroded your enthusiasm into inertia.

A favorite definition of angels comes from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.  Mary Baker Eddy explains: "Angels are God's thoughts passing to man; spiritual intuitions, pure and perfect."

Perfect.  Pure, meaning untouched by human error.  Free from ego judgment. When we  still our minds,  the angels deliver higher thought forms that bring joy to our soul. These angel messages capture the heart of our creative nature and spark our lives.

So why not invite the angels to speak to you today.  Stay open for a new way of being in the world.  A way you can joyfully share your gifts with others. We only need to follow their guidance step by step to victory.

Enjoy your day!

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

Angel of Creativity

(Photo by John Sullivan at http://www.pdphoto.org/)

For He shall give His angels charge over you, to guide you in all of your ways.                                                  -- Psalm 91

It's amazing what can be created when inspired to share.  Ordinary sand, the foundation of a beach, can become a work of art; a tribute to our guardian angel who always lovingly watches over us..

Enjoy your day with the Angels and stay open for divine inspiration and appreciation.  Your creativity is meant to be shared.  A gift for others.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

Angels: What are you creating?

What a surprise to see beautiful pink lilies in bloom for my birthday last weekend. Lilies are angelic messengers of wonderful new beginnings, and a birthday represents just that.  Many gifted artists throughout history have painted  The Annunciation  showing Archangel Gabriel offering Mary a white lily in honor of her upcoming mission as Mother to the Christ.

Today the angels are here to help accelerate our spiritual growth. They remind us that great works of art, music, creativity, and invention are not limited to an elite group of masters.  The angels want to tell you that your life is a masterpiece. That's hard for some of us to believe, I know. But just  as a seed holds the potential for a beautiful flower,  an unseen "spiritual kernel" within each of us is ready to crack out of its hard hull and wiggle up into the light to bloom. It just needs our willingness.

That's why it's important to make choices that benefit our intentions.  During this time of rapid technology,  thousands of images a day via Internet, television, and print media bombard us. If you live in a city you  may observe around 22,000 advertising impressions a day.  Reading email brings up a sidebar of "personally selected" buys to meet your every need.  So if you would choose to live your life, you must draw from the inspiration within yourself, not borrowed from the media and other external stimuli.

If only you would stop to realize that in each moment you are creating with your every thought and every word. Whenever you think, speak, or act, you are painting the portrait of your life--so choose wisely.  Most of us create by default without any real thought as to the results. The Angels remind us to pay attention to what gives you the greatest joy in sharing and act from it.  Hold a clear picture in your mind of what brings you ***life*** and, then stay focused on the goal...and watch what happens...

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

Creative Threads

Spiderweb hanging from the tall tree limb.
When I opened my eyes this morning after meditation, I saw something unusual.  I thought it was a reflection on the window pane and got up to take a closer look.   With my camera's magnification, I could see the detail of this amazing creation, suspended from a tall tree limb, created high enough to be visible to me, just when I needed the message the most.
Spider web early this morning, suspended from a tall limb.
The synchronicity was affirming as I usually sit on the front porch in the morning and for some reason was guided to stay in the den.  I believe the Angels speak to us through nature, and as I wrote in an earlier blog, autumn is the time of year when messages are expressed this way in abundance.

I looked up the symbolism of the spider in Animal-Speak by Ted Andrews. Spider represents creativity and the weaving of fate. The ancient mystery schools had one precept above their portals. "Know Thyself and Thou Shalt Know the Universe."  Spider reminds us that the world is woven around us.  We are the keepers and writers of our own destiny, weaving it like a web by our thoughts, feelings, and actions."

If spider has come into your life, ask yourself:

Do you need to write?  Are you inspired but not following through?
Are you using your creative opportunities?
Are you feeling closed in or stuck in a web?

Spider teaches to maintain a balance between the past and the future, physical and spiritual, male and female. Everything that you do now is weaving what you will encounter in the future.

"Weave your creative threads in the dark and then when the sun hits them, they'll glisten with intricate beauty."

I'm so grateful each day for becoming more aware of the Circle of Life, and the Oneness of it all. Love is all around us when we take time to be fully present.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings,

Karen

Charlotte's Web

As a kid I was scared to death of spiders until I read Charlotte's Web. My heart softened and I could see spiders have a purpose, too. This summer a lovely garden spider took up residence outside the window by my computer. Interesting that she should choose that location as a spider is symbolic of writing. The guardian of ancient languages and alphabets. Her web is near the entrance to the cottage and so we pass "Charlotte" on our comings and goings. I'm amazed at her tenacity. I've watched her double and triple stitch her web after a thunderstorm and high winds. Several weeks ago, something interesting happened. She created a papery looking egg sac on one side of her web. Over the past week, she created another. And this morning I looked out and saw a third one. This gal is prolific.

In Animal Speak, Ted Andrews writes that spider is creativity and weaving of fate. In India it was associated with Maya, the weaver of illusion. The Native Americans view spider as grandmother, the link to the past and the future. "Spider teaches you to maintain a balance between past and future, physical and spiritual, male and female. Spider teaches you that everything you now do is weaving what you will encounter in the future."

These beautiful large garden spiders kill harmful insects. Most of their movement occurs in the dark. So we can take a hint from spider and "weave our creative threads in the dark and then when the sun hits them, they will glisten in intricate beauty."

Angelic blessings to you.
