| Hei-Hei pauses to smell the roses. |
Yesterday our little Hei-Hei celebrated his one-year anniversary with us. Last year at this time, an angel thought guided Elliot and me while out for a drive. Sudden inspiration came to stop by the local animal shelter to share love with the residents. The timing was good. Hei-Hei had arrived the night before. A purrfect match, we were soon traveling the road home together. What joy that playful kitten brings to the household, and is full of surprises as we never know what he'll do next. At lunchtime, it was amusing to find him nestled down on the wicker trunk tucked in between a giant fairy and a bouquet of pink ornamental roses. A reminder to slow down, take time out to relax and smell the roses.
