With a stillness in the air, just as the duck was about to close his eyes and nap, a car passed by the park.
I laughed, thankful for a better understanding of the term hair-raising experience.
Satisfied there was no problem, his mohawk flattened back down on his head in unison. Every hair slicked back in place, he was ready for a nap.
Later, I learned that ducks can sometimes remind us to return to those parts of ourself, or those activities that we feel safe and comfortable in, as well.
