"I could see peace instead of this."

This nagging photo brings to mind,  "I could see peace instead of this."   (Lesson 34, ACIM)

"Peace of mind is clearly an internal matter.  It must begin with your own thoughts, and then extend outward.  It is from your peace of mind that a peaceful perception of the world arises."

The peace exercise begins by searching your mind for any fear thoughts, anxiety provoking circumstances, "offending" personalities or events, or any way in which you may be entertaining unloving thoughts.

Then repeat the phrase: I could see peace instead of this, slowly with eyes closed as you watch those thoughts arise in your mind, and let each one go, to be replaced with the next.

If it is difficult to think of specific issues continue to repeat the lesson slowly to yourself:  I could see peace instead of this."

Whenever you feel your peace being disturbed in any way, repeat:  "I could see peace instead of this."

Another helpful phrase you can tell yourself specifically:  "I can replace my feelings of depression, anxiety or worry (or my thoughts about this situation, personality or event) with peace."

I put it into practice.  As I began to choose to focus my attention on peace, instead of the problem, I realized how much energy I often waste brewing over an issue.  With peace, answers can naturally unfold for the highest good of all. Love is always the answer.  The Holy Spirit will assure that the problem will be a win-win for all.

The Holy Spirit and the angels are here to help us stay on course, and find peace and joy, moment by moment.  You are never alone.  God loves you.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen
